We're looking for a Trusts and Foundations Officer to support the delivery of our trusts and foundations strategy, from identifying and cultivating new opportunities to nurturing long term relationships.

What does this role do?

As Trusts and Foundations Officer, you'll:

• manage a personal portfolio of existing and new trusts and foundations ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey, which sets us apart from other charities in our sector and inspires trusts and foundations to contribute to our work,
• contribute to the delivery of the team strategy, from communications of enquiry to hosting and attending meetings and events with new and existing donors,
• develop a pipeline to generate new trusts and foundations income for Dogs Trust,
• ensure data is recorded accurately on our internal CRM system and that relationship management is delivered to the highest standard.

This role is a fixed term, family leave cover contract until December 2027. Interviews are provisionally scheduled for 4th August 2026, and will take place on Teams.

Further details

• This post will be based at our Washington Wetland Centre but will require frequent travel to schools within a one-hour travel distance. Your travel costs for visits to schools will be reimbursed.
• This will be a hybrid role. On days when you are travelling out to schools you will be able to work from home beforehand and afterwards.
• This is initially a one-year contract but we are currently in talks with our funder with a view to extending both the Generation Wild programme and this post.

The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust is looking for one or more organised, practical and people-focused colleagues to support the day-to-day running of our small conservation charity.

We protect, maintain and enhance the unique character of Hampstead Garden Suburb: an internationally important example of early 20th-century town planning and architecture. This role is central to helping the Trust work well day to day.

The work falls into two connected strands:

• Resident and Office Coordination: supporting residents and visitors, managing enquiries, coordinating office arrangements, helping ensure telephone and inbox cover, and maintaining oversight of the Trust calendar and annual programme.
• Information, Property and Governance Support: maintaining accurate records, supporting property and financial administration, helping with conveyancing enquiries, preparing meeting papers and minutes, and supporting governance processes.

We are open to appointing either one full-time person covering both strands, or more than one part-time colleague with responsibilities divided between them. The final arrangement will depend on the skills, availability and working pattern of the successful candidate or candidates.

This role could suit someone who enjoys varied, useful work in a small organisation where their contribution is visible. You will need to be organised, accurate, calm with the public, confident using records and systems, and able to follow work through reliably.

Some candidates may be stronger in resident contact and office coordination; others may be stronger in records, property administration and governance. Candidates do not need to have experience in every area.

The role is office-based at the Trust office in London NW11. Full-time is 35 hours per week. Part-time and annualised-hours arrangements will be considered. Annualised hours means that working time may vary across the year to support individual working patterns while meeting the Trust’s operational needs.

The Trust’s normal office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Part-time candidates would not be expected to work across all office hours, but candidates will need to be available for a minimum of three hours on Monday mornings.

Salary is £29,000–£32,000 per annum FTE, pro rata for part-time or annualised-hours arrangements. The Trust offers 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata where applicable, and a contributory pension scheme with an employer contribution of 8% where the employee contributes 8%.

Job Description

As the Marketing & Communications Officer, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day delivery of our marketing and communications activity. Working alongside the Marketing & Communications Manager, you'll be part of a small, ambitious team that delivers high-quality marketing and communications with creativity, pace and purpose. Your primary focus will be creating engaging content, managing our digital channels and delivering campaigns that increase footfall and raise the profile of Cambridge Science Centre.

This role requires an agile, proactive generalist who enjoys turning ideas into action, taking ownership of everything from social media and web updates to print production, paid promotions and promotional events. Whilst the Marketing & Communications Manager leads longer-term strategic priorities, you'll work together to build the infrastructure that underpins a high-performing function, including asset libraries, streamlined workflows and efficient processes.

The person appointed will be employed by the Cathedral Chapter and the Line Manager for this post will be the Canon Chancellor.

The Education Officer will work with the Canon Chancellor and the expert volunteers who support this department to develop, grow and deliver the schools and formal learning offers at the cathedral. In addition, they will work with others to develop the interpretation and activities for families and children, helping them to discover the cathedral and its work.

The post of Education Officer is located within Ripon Cathedral, which is a place of Christian worship and mission within the Church of England.  This is a creative and mission-led role, sitting at the heart of the cathedral’s commitment to education, outreach and discipleship.  The role requires a solid understanding of, and sympathy for the Christian faith. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Education Programme Development

• To develop and grow the education programme in support of the cathedral’s strategic objectives.

Leadership and Management of Volunteers

• Develop the formal learning offer at the cathedral to cover all ages and across the whole curriculum
• Create educational resources and activities aligned to the National Curriculum
• Work with partner organisations in the area to develop multi-site learning and visits
• Promote the offer to schools across the area, building up strong relationships with teachers and local networks, and act as primary contact for schools and groups.
• Work with the volunteers to deliver high quality school visits, workshops and educational activities
• Work positively and collaboratively with Chapter committees and working groups to develop the learning offer

Informal Learning Offer

• Liaise and work with the Cathedral’s Children and Families Officer to devise and deliver seasonal children and family activities during school holidays
• Assist in the development of children’s interpretation and the visitor offer for families

Role Description

The COO is the Cathedral’s principal member of staff and has responsibility for the overall operational performance and administration of the organisation, its assets and its people. Appointed by the Chapter and accountable to them through the Dean, the COO works with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop and implement strategy and policy, ensure effective governance and compliance, manage the business functions of the Cathedral and monitor its overall progress and development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the development of the Cathedral’s overall strategy to reflect the Cathedral’s Vision and Values.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the Cathedral’s masterplan and successfully deliver outcomes through the effective performance management of goals and objectives.
• Secure financial sustainability, achieve growth and optimise the efficient use of resources through effective short, medium and long term planning.

Safeguarding

• Work closely with the Dean, the Cathedral Safeguarding Committee, Chapter Safeguarding Lead and the Safeguarding Officer to develop and deliver the Cathedral’s safeguarding strategy.
• Act as a role model in upholding safeguarding policies and embedding a healthy safeguarding culture across Cathedral life.
• Negotiate, implement and continually review the Service Level Agreement with the Diocesan Board of Finance and the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer.

Cathedral Compliance and Operational Management

Hackney School of Food is an award-winning food education hub based in the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. Through our teaching kitchen and educational garden, we help children, families and communities build the skills, confidence and knowledge to grow, cook and eat good food.

About the role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director (MD) will provide both strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation delivers its mission while remaining financially resilient, well-governed and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

The Managing Director is responsible for all aspects of the organisation, including strategy, income generation, finance, governance, partnerships, programme delivery and people leadership. Working closely with a small, committed team and an engaged Board, they will build on strong foundations to grow Hackney School of Food's impact, reach and long-term sustainability.

This is a varied, hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing big-picture thinking with practical delivery. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership 

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for Hackney School of Food, ensuring delivery of its mission, vision and long-term objectives. 

• Lead the development and implementation of Hackney School of Food's annual business plan and organisational priorities.

• Work with the Board to evolve organisational strategy, identify opportunities, manage risks and support sustainable growth.

• Monitor, report on and respond to organisational performance against agreed objectives and impact measures.

Financial sustainability and income generation 

• Oversee organisational budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and cashflow management, working closely with the Treasurer and accountant.

• Lead income generation across the organisation, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, sponsorship and earned income.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, sponsors and strategic partners.

• Ensure all funding commitments are met, including grant reporting, monitoring and evaluation requirements.

Partnerships & External Relations

• Act as the main point of contact for HSoF’s key partners, LEAP Federation and Chefs in Schools to ensure the partnerships are effective and positive.
