We are looking for a Head of Charity to lead TVAP to achieve an increased impact in meeting the expectations and needs of our visitors in the ever-changing SEND environment. Working with the Board, the Head of Charity will strategically review the current landscape, new opportunities and funding possibilities to best support our visitors.
Our new Head of Charity will:
- Review the strategy and develop a multi-year implementation plan
- Maximise TVAP’s impact and reach in the community through a focused service offering
- Lead the organisation externally with key stakeholders
- Lead and inspire our dedicated and passionate team of staff and volunteers.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Risk and Compliance team at Help for Heroes. Role
To be responsible for the day-to-day provision of an efficient, welcoming and professional reception and administrative/business support service to the Masbro Community Centre.
The applicant will be the first person a visitor, client or customer meets or speaks to face to face or on the phone. The applicant will need to have a good rapport with people and make them feel welcome and at ease. UPG deliver a range different activities a week with a footfall of over 500 people a week.

Duties and Responsibilities

As the receptionist and administrator, ensuring all users and visitors are dealt with promptly, professionally and courteously.
- Provide a warm, supportive and nurturing front-of-house presence, building positive relationships with service users, tenants, volunteers and partners.
- Develop and maintain effective clerical and administrative systems in line with UPG policies and procedures, reviewing and improving systems where necessary.
- Carry out general administrative duties including (but not limited to):
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Responding to written and verbal enquiries
- Coordinating bookings for workshops and classes
- Processing invoices and supporting basic financial record-keeping
- Assisting with room and hall hire bookings and issuing hire agreements

The Trustees of John Wesley’s New Room seek an Executive Director to lead the organisation into the next exciting phase of its development. John Wesley’s New Room is the oldest Methodist building in the world (Grade I listed) and is a small but busy place where no two days are the same. Kairos Women Working Together (Kairos) was founded in 1999 by a group of women in Coventry who recognised that those facing multiple disadvantages, and therefore most at risk of sexual exploitation, were falling through the cracks of existing services. An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Borde Hill team to work on the Reinventing Borde Hill project. This role will be responsible for managing the Community Growing Garden at Sugworth Farm, part of our new 2-acre biodynamic market garden which produces seasonal fruit and vegetables to supply the new restaurant, café and farm shop at Borde Hill.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project includes an Activity Plan including a range of learning, community and volunteering activities, and this new role will have responsibility for overseeing community engagement both at the Community Growing Garden, and across the Parkland and main Garden.
Your role will focus on two key areas: overseeing the seasonal growing at the Community Growing Garden with volunteers and community partners, and developing and delivering an annual site-wide community engagement programme.
You will work closely with the NLHF Project Team, as well as the Green team. You will lead on liaising with local schools, community groups and charities, encouraging and facilitating participation in the Community Growing and wider site community programmes. Your passion for learning, community engagement, horticulture and nature will be key in ensuring this programme succeeds in delivering the ambitions set out in the Activity Plan.
Although funded via the Lottery project, this role is permanent as we are committed to continuing it after the funded project; we intend to continue the wide range of the activities that your role will nurture and develop.

- Build a seasonal programme of community engagement and growing in the Community Growing Garden and at the main site, building on and developing the programme set out in the Activity Plan
- Deliver new community programmes and connect with participants. To include:
o Facilitated sessions

o Drop-in activities and events - Work with community partners to develop and deliver a community volunteer programme, ensuring access for people who will benefit from the opportunity
- Identify and build partnerships with relevant and diverse community groups, organisations and individuals, taking responsibility for the community engagement elements of the Reinventing Borde Hill project more widely

Skills and experience To be considered for this position, you should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills:

- Ability to lead community group activities and co-ordinate a programme of community group activity across the season

As a Wildlife and Wellbeing Officer, you’ll work closely with the Wildlife and Wellbeing Assistant Manager and Networks for Nature project staff to engage and empower communities to make a real impact on conservation efforts and to improve access to nature. You will support with maintaining and establishing community relationships, supporting the development and delivery of a programme of wildlife and wellbeing activities and supporting in building the capacity of community groups, community leaders and other stakeholders within the Networks for Nature project area. You will deliver a broad range of activities, including Family Wildlife Clubs, Wildlife and Wellbeing Clubs, Community Action Days, activities linked to Green Social Prescribing (GSP), GSP workshops for healthcare professionals and activity stands within community settings. We’re looking for someone who can:
