Support Coordinator

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers whose lives are affected by aphasia, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.
Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:
- Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
- Provide personalised information, advice and support.
- Enable stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes, which will help them to prevent further strokes.
- Work with other health and social care professionals across the stroke pathway to ensure high quality support.
About You
Knowledge, skills and experience you will ideally have:
- Background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities.
- Excellent IT skills and an ability to maintain accurate records.
- An affinity with the values of the Stroke Association.
- A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload.

Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Lead will play a critical role in driving the financial sustainability of Child’s i Foundation. About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Casework Administrator to join the Scottish Regional Office team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support and undertaking virtual telephone casework across the whole of Scotland, working remotely with SSAFA branch volunteers and Regional Office colleagues to ensure a consistent, timely, quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to the Scottish Regional Office. You will work closely with the Regional Casework Managers and the Regional Manager.

About the team
In this role you will be working closely with volunteers from seventeen SSAFA branches across Scotland, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. Connect: North Korea is a fast-growing charity supporting North Korean escapees to build new lives after experiences of systemic discrimination, poverty, and trauma.
Our organisational income has grown consistently year on year since we registered in 2018. We now have a series of multi-year grants in place ensuring that 42% of our income for 2026 is already secured. But we are ambitious. We want to do more for our community, so we are looking for a new, dynamic Head of Fundraising and Development to lead and deliver income generation as we scale our work in the UK and globally.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a fundraising strategy and plan across all major income streams—trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and major donors. This role is an exciting mixture of leadership complemented by day-to-day delivery. About Care4Calais
Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK.
In the UK, we collect and distribute clothing, shoes, mobile phones, and other essential items, alongside offering social support and access to legal, medical, and educational services. In northern France, we operate year-round from Calais, working alongside local communities in Calais and Dunkirk to provide warm clothing, bedding, and services to displaced refugees living in challenging and dangerous conditions.
All of Care4Calais' operations are supported by a small, dedicated staff team, who supervise large volunteer teams to provide critical support to asylum seekers and people on the move in both the UK and France.
About the Role
Care4Calais is recruiting two Operations Coordinators to support its humanitarian operations in northern France. The association operates every day of the week, coordinating the distribution of non-food items (NFI) and providing services and activities, such as phone charging, games, and access to hairdressing, bicycle repair, and sewing equipment.
As an Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the daily distribution of aid and manage volunteer teams, ensuring that proper safety procedures for effective aid distribution are in place, communicated, and consistently applied. You will also contribute to warehouse operations and logistical planning.
You will be part of Care4Calais' core team in France and report directly to the Head of Field Operations in France. The role requires a proactive, hardworking individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to make quick, compassionate decisions in a fast-paced environment. While this is a challenging position, you will receive a thorough induction and work alongside experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide core operational support for Care4Calais’ operations in northern France.
- Support the logistics and purchasing department to manage new and second-hand clothing stock and assist with operational planning for field activities.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience working or volunteering in a humanitarian context, with human rights organisations, or with refugees and asylum-seeking individuals.
- Experience managing projects that involve risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to a wide audience.
- Experience managing warehouse operations or complex logistical and purchasing projects.
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and at least B2-level proficiency in French.

Principales responsabilités
- Fournir un soutien de base aux opérations de Care4Calais dans le nord de la France.

Expériences requises :
Critères essentiels :
- Expérience professionnelle ou bénévole dans le domaine humanitaire, auprès d’organisations de défense des droits de l’homme ou auprès de réfugiés et de demandeurs d’asile.
- Expérience dans la gestion de projets impliquant la gestion des risques, la santé et la sécurité, la protection et la conformité.
- Solides compétences en expression orale et écrite, y compris la capacité de transmettre des informations de manière claire et concise à un public large.

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. You will have the opportunity to work with and train volunteers in the appropriate care and training of Canine Partners’ puppies. You will work with puppies from eight-weeks to approximately 15-months old, ensuring they receive appropriate socialisation and training before entering our assistance dog training, giving them the foundations to learn how to be life-changing assistance dogs, bringing greater independence and quality of life to people with physical disabilities. A proactive approach is key to maintaining the welfare and behavioural standards for the puppies. All training at Canine Partners follows best practice, positive reinforcement methods and this role is an ambassador for this approach.
About you:
- Experience of working with puppies.
- Good working knowledge of best practice dog training and behaviour.
- Good practical dog handling and training skills.
- Effective interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong administration skills with accurate record keeping.
- Coaching/ Teaching skills.
- Computer literacy/ IT skills (MS Office – minimum requirement basic level)
- Full UK driving licence and use of appropriate vehicle for work purposes.
- Ideally, you may have experience of working with volunteers.
It may be advantageous, but not essential, for you to have a relevant Animal Behaviour and Training Council – Animal Training Instructor (ABTC-ATI) accreditation. Most importantly, you will be passionate about the transformative impact that our assistance dogs provide to our beneficiaries.
