As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in the communications with, support for and retention of volunteers. Primary Responsibilities
- Work with the Volunteer Services Manager to deliver the Volunteer Strategy and Bookmark’s vision

About the role:
As a Sport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering varied activity sessions for both adults and young people across different services, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the Sport Manager to effectively coordinate support from freelancers and volunteers. Your role will extend to broadening the accessibility of sports and exercise within SHP's services and among its residents, for both adults and the young people we support. Starfish is a mentoring programme designed to work with children and young people in schools, aged 9-16 years. Working within a school’s student wellbeing support, Starfish provides committed and trusted adults (mentors) to work with children and young people who need Early Help without which they would be at risk of not meeting their full potential. Their identified needs may related to their health, educational or social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide day-to-day mentoring, co-ordination, and development of the Starfish programme with local primary and secondary schools.
- To ensure Starfish operates efficiently to meet the aims of the programme to help support children and young people to reach their potential guided by a Trauma Informed Practice approach.
- Co-ordinate referrals to the programme, ensuring the receipt of all relevant information and match children and young people with mentors.
- Recruit and support volunteer Starfish mentors from local Salvation Army corps and other churches in line with Salvation Army volunteer and Safe & Sound guidelines
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A qualification in children’s or youth work and/or good experience of working with children and youth aged 9-16 in education and or in the wider community. Applicants with transferable / relevant skills will also be considered.
- Knowledge of issues affecting young people (e.g. education, poverty, mental health)
- Excellent people skills and experienced in working with children and young people (individuals and groups) with the ability to create and run creative and age-appropriate positive mentoring activities.
- Must have the credibility and skills to represent The Salvation Army appropriately and professionally in a variety of settings and able to develop and harness external partnership opportunities and relationships.

Role description
As Commercial Sales & Events Coordinator you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support to the weddings and event hire team. o Provide day-to-day support to volunteers, working closely with the Head of Support Services.
o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.
o Collect and process feedback and statistics and compile reports on satisfaction and effectiveness as required.
o Provide specific support for volunteering roles including;
Helpline and Telephone Buddies
o Support the transition of the helpline to a new scheme such as our telephone buddy scheme
o Support and review the telephone buddy scheme
o In conjunction with the Head of Support Services, support the implementation and ongoing management of a new Facebook support group
o Collate statistics on helpline calls and report on this monthly.
Local Support Groups
o Support the establishment of online condition specific and new regional groups.
o Undertake visits to Local Support Groups as appropriate.
o Working with the Finance and Operations Manager support the groups to use funds they have raised.
Other Volunteers
o Support Office volunteers in their day to day work, being the first point of contact and allocating tasks.
o Working with the Head of Support Services contribute to the development of the Lived Experience Committee.
o Working with the Head of Fundraising support and engage Ambassador and Fundraising volunteers.
Support Service Coordination
o Ensure the CRM system is up to date with all Support Services information.
o Ensure all statistics relating to Support Services are up to date.
o Ensure Support Services’ phone systems and booked calls are effectively and efficiently set up.
o Ensure accurate record of all research and surveys we are asked to engage in and follow up on outcomes of that research.
o Undertake any small administrative duties as required.
o Where required, provide support in managing the helpline emails.
Support Services Events
o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually. These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community.
o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.
o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.
o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.
Urban Saints are looking for a Resources Coordinator to join the team as maternity cover. This is a key role that will oversee Urban Saints' online digital resources platform (Energize). The platform has a growing customer base, and with increasing opportunities to equip youth workers in reaching young people who are not stuck into church, this role is an essential one to ensure our subscribers are well-resourced to reach the young people they encounter.
A successful candidate will be able to use their writing & editing skills to curate and improve digital content on our Energize platform, as well as being able to use their excellent customer-service skills to ensure that our subscribers' needs are met.
