Victim Support is the leading charity in England and Wales that supports people affected by crime and traumatic incidents. In order to achieve our vision we need a highly capable Director of Finance to build and improve on our high-performing finance function and to drive forward operational excellence.

Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our financial strategy, long-term financial planning, and developing commercial strategies to maximise income and operating contribution. You will also have responsibility of cash management, risk management and governance. You will be the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) for the organisation and will lead on Property and Procurement.

This is a varied and exciting role which will provide you with the opportunity of leading a well-established team of professionals, reporting on the financial performance of the organisation together with providing analysis, advice and support to facilitate decision making to deliver sound financial management.

You will be a qualified accountant, and will need to demonstrate:

Health Professional Engagement Officer Role

We are looking for an experienced project officer who is a self-starter and thrives on challenges. You will work closely with the small PRDA admin team, a number of the trustees and a wide range of external stakeholders. You will have a passion for improving the lives of people affected by cancer, and will be keen to learn about the personal impact of PRD and how it can be treated. You will have energy, enthusiasm and creativity to go the extra mile to make your mark in this brand new role. You will have a proven track record of accurate administration, managing successful projects and working with health professionals, and be good at organising events and problem-solving. Previous experience of working in a health charity would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and support a Community of Practice for professionals and researchers who work on PRD, including organising face-to-face and online events.
• Support the work to develop and promote resources that enable better diagnosis, treatment and care of people with PRD (key resource is the PRD Best Practice Pathway).
• Support trustees to connect with professional organisations.
• Gather and disseminate information about services for people with PRD.
• Gather and disseminate news about education, training and research on PRD.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the London and Home Counties community engagement team to support our exciting work with communities at risk of flooding.

The role 

In this role you will support the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and deliver fundraising initiatives that will support existing corporate partners and securing new gifts. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day account management of existing corporate partners, new business development and the co-ordination of our payroll giving program. About you

You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks. Agile decision making and problem-solving skills are essential.

You may have fundraising experience, but this is not essential if you have sales experience. 

You will have:

- Excellent customer service skills with a background in fundraising or sales.
- Experience in new business development including identifying, researching and contacting cold prospects.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Strong administrative, planning and prioritisation skills with keen attention to detail.

Job Title: Experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IOs) for Stage 2 Complaints (This role sits within our Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) service)

Contract: Associate

Hours: Variable, according to demand for services/caseload and role in investigation

Salary: £25.25 per hour (50% professional rate for travel plus expenses)

Location: Associate Independent Investigating Officers for Complaints primarily work from home. Some travel may be required as part of an investigation – location will vary according to the referral received from the Local Authority. Cases will be allocated to Associate IOs living locally to the referring authority, wherever possible.

About the Role

We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.

The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.

The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.

Please Note: the nature of associate work means that we cannot guarantee a regular amount of work, and complaints will be allocated dependent on the associate’s availability, location and the needs and demands of the individual case. Investigation work takes place Monday to Friday within working hours. This position is not suitable for applicants who already work or have commitments more than two days within the working week.

What is the role?

This a 12 Month Maternity contract.

Working within our values and behavioural framework, the role involves closely managing the relationships of our partner organisations (known as Licensed Organisations – LOs) and ensuring those within your portfolio offer quality and inclusive DofE programmes to young people.

While managing these relationships across your portfolio area in Newcastle, Northumberland and South Tyneside, you will also identify and develop new relationships with appropriate educational and community organisations to widen the access of the DofE to young people, particularly those who experience marginalisation.

You will be undertaking regular meetings, in person and virtually, engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels within different organisations across your portfolio area. When not out at meetings, you will be working from home.

Whilst you won’t be working directly with young people, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a positive impact on their future opportunities.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a team player who has a passion for the development of young people and who will be enthusiastic, who can engage and influence a variety of stakeholders and who will be an authentic ambassador for the DofE.

You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders and have the skills to inspire and influence them to enable young people to participate in DofE.

Your role

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. The fundraising leader will develop relationships with potential donors, identify fundraising opportunities, and manage the grant application process.

We seek someone who aligns with the DfG mission, has a passion for fundraising and can strategise and deliver new initiatives. The fundraiser will collaborate with program staff, and senior management to develop leads, compelling proposals and reports. The working environment is informal, team-oriented, and encourages individual input and development. Thereby supporting the execution of DfG’s impact driven program to improve life through design. This position reports to the Managing Director of Design for Good.

Key Responsibilities

· Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective donors, program officers, and key stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for grant inquiries, reporting, and communications. 

· Research: Identify and explore funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors whose interests align with our programs. Regularly monitor donor databases and other sources for announcements and opportunities.

· Applications & Fundraising Development: Lead the creation of high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff, ensuring they are compelling, well-structured, and tailored to donor priorities. 

· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all grants meet donor regulations, reporting requirements, and deadlines. Prepare and submit timely, accurate reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and financial impact.

· Monitoring and Evaluation: Track the success of fundraising efforts, monitor progress toward revenue goals, and use data analysis to identify trends and inform strategy, providing regular updates and insights.

· Events, Networking, and Representation: Organize fundraising events and oversee volunteer and partner teams. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and boost resource mobilization.
