The role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Programmes Manager to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of our international programs. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with extensive programme management experience and a deep commitment to our mission.

The Senior Programmes Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are effectively designed and delivered, meet the needs of the communities and animals we serve, and align with our organizational strategy and donor expectations. 

Positioned within the Global Programmes Department the role will involve close collaboration across teams in both the Global Support Office and our implementing partners.

Responsibilities include: programme management, strategic planning & stakeholder engagement, budget management, monitoring & evaluation, cross-team collaboration. 

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a remote position with regular attendance required at SPANA's London office. The purpose of this role is to bring additional operational capacity to new church plants and partnerships. This role will work across multiple partnerships on a fixed term basis to support the operational set up of new partnerships, and leading on operational improvements where there are existing processes.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bid Manager and Writer to join our dynamic Bid Team within the Development, Marketing, and Communications Department. This role is critical to driving our growth, securing new opportunities, and retaining existing contracts.

In this hands on role, you will hit the ground running, using your previous experience and knowledge to gather information and will utilise this to write competitive bids and proposals which can help secure new opportunities for the growth of our charity. SIG is a complex, growing organisation, supporting those with various complex needs in residential and non residential settings. Our Business Development team are vital in securing new and existing contracts to grow the services that we can offer to our residents and participants.

You will lead on competitive tendering processes, crafting high-quality bids and proposals that align with our mission and values. You will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, from market engagement to submission, ensuring compliance and quality at every stage. You will work closely with senior directors, commissioners, and internal stakeholders to develop compelling submissions that meet financial targets and organisational goals. You will work independently but also part of the wider bid team, collaborating with subject matter experts as required. 

Overview of key responsibilities:

• Lead on the development and submission of competitive bids, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
• Collaborate with senior directors and internal teams to secure approvals and budgets for bids.

Our Fundraising Manager will play a critical leadership role within the Partnerships team, driving growth in philanthropic income through high-value donor engagement. A unique opportunity has arisen to join SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, as the Community Engagement Manager for the South West region.

About the role

In this new and pivotal role, you will lead efforts to grow awareness, engagement, and income generation through a vibrant network of volunteer-led branches across  London and the South West region. As the primary point of contact and support for these branches, you'll play a vital role in empowering volunteers and fostering a sense of community and belonging throughout the region.

Working closely with the wider regional team, you will help deliver SSAFA’s new community engagement strategy — a central part of an exciting period of transformation and strategic growth for the charity.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South West region.

The role involves extensive travel within the region and may require occasional evening or weekend work at short notice. A company car can be provided to support this.

About the team

With the support of the Regional Manager – Casework and Community Engagement, this role plays a key part in establishing, coordinating, and leading a team of Community Engagement Volunteers across the South West Region of England.

The primary focus is to drive awareness, increase fundraising, and strengthen engagement in alignment with the strategic direction set by the Director of Welfare Operations.

You will work collaboratively with other regionally based Community Engagement Managers and strategic partners across the Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications directorate to help shape policies and guidance for branch activities,

The role involves regular meetings, both in-person and via Microsoft Teams, and you will benefit from a comprehensive support package including training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.

About you

You will be an exceptional individual to lead this exciting initiative during a critical period of change. The ideal candidate will be a driven and highly motivated professional with a strong track record in fundraising, a solid understanding of fundraising regulations, and proven experience in leading and supporting volunteers in their efforts.

You will have excellent relationship management skills and a deep understanding of volunteer engagement and development. You will be a natural communicator with demonstrated success working with volunteers; experience in volunteer recruitment, induction, and best practice would be a strong advantage.

Job Title: Campaign Manager - Better Business Act

Why this role?

In this role you would be responsible for driving forward the Better Business Act campaign, building relationships with stakeholders who could help us achieve this critical change and using learning from the campaign to contribute to the strategic design and development of B Lab UK’s policy and public affairs work.

In this role you will:

• Campaign Development & Management: Lead and execute the Better Business Act (BBA) campaign, set KPIs, track progress, and ensure alignment with B Lab UK’s policy strategy. Oversee BBA communications, manage relationships with spokespeople, and ensure Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) principles are embedded.

• Technical Specialist & Relationship Management: Advise senior stakeholders on the BBA, represent it at events, build support among business and policy groups, and manage an events program to advance advocacy.

• Team Management: Line manages the Campaign & Events Coordinator and Public Affairs Officer, providing coaching and ensuring alignment across teams for effective collaboration.
