The Chief Executive will be responsible for providing leadership, developing, and implementing Living Well Bromley’s strategic and operational plans, leading on partnership and business development, and being an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries.

They will lead a senior management team of three (the Operations Manager, Funding and Communications Manager and Advocacy Manager).They will be responsible for ensuring financial control and supporting and advising on governance best practice across all aspects of the charity.

This post is a first-tier post directly reporting to the Board of Trustees. Ideally the post holder will have a Christian faith and be committed to core Christian values.

This is an exciting 2 day a week role to be part of the growing Newham District Foodbank and Ascension’s Advice Service. On 9th June 2021 Ascension’s foodbank officially became part of the Trussell Trust network. We were named Newham District Foodbank, because our plan is to expand to more than one distribution centre to ensure that people across the whole of Newham are well supported. As part of the strategy, we have already secured funding to have debt and benefit advisors supporting each new distribution centre.

In this role you will manage the poverty response work of Ascension Community Trust, including its foodbank. You will provide high level strategic work, including liaising with donors, referral partners and other local foodbanks and support new partners into Newham District Foodbank. Your role will include fundraising for and reporting on the work of Newham District Foodbank, including local partnership funding. You will be involved in the recruitment, management and development of staff and volunteers.

About the role

The St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity delivering high quality services for Camden residents, especially the lively and diverse community of the St Pancras and Somers Town ward. As the Director of SPCA you will lead and guide a highly skilled and motivated team to make the SPCA a community hub and a centre of excellence which has a positive impact on the lives of local residents.

The governance of SPCA is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Director will report directly to this Board and work closely with Board members.

Key responsibilities

• To build strong relationships with members of the local community, community groups, representatives and service providers to ensure that strategies and services are based on an understanding of the community’s needs and the contribution that SPCA is best placed to make as part of the of the range of local support services.

  Main tasks

• Overseeing all fundraising activities from trusts, the local authority, local businesses and the community.

• Overseeing the development and implementation of an income generation strategy that includes maintaining and securing funding from statutory bodies, charitable trusts and any other relevant agencies/organisations and delivering charged services.

• Forming collaborative partnerships with organisations and agencies from all sectors that can be developed into services and business ventures

• Line managing key staff and ensuring that effective line managing processes are in place for other staff and volunteers. The postholder will directly line manage approximately xxx staff.

About the role

Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.

The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.

This will span three main projects:

· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);

· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and

· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.

Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.

Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.

You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.

This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.

Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. You should be highly organised and goals-driven, with a collaborative approach, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to harness the power of marketing to support women’s economic empowerment.

Bookmark began life just over five years ago with a clear mission; they want every child to read. Currently more than one in four children are leaving primary school unable to read well. These children are more likely to drop out of school, experience unemployment, poverty, and poor mental health. About the role

As the Senior Philanthropy Lead at Bookmark, you will work with the Head of Fundraising to manage and grow our philanthropy portfolio within the wider strategy. You will lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both the Philanthropy Manager and Senior Fundraising Executive. Your role will involve proactively researching and identifying new potential Bookmark major donors and working with trustees, staff, and the Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions.

You will own and build a portfolio of new major donors through the full donor cycle who give £25,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. In addition, you will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to ensure opportunities to maximize income for the fundraising team. You will devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity's strategic objectives. You will use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of major donor income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have a successful track record in high-value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts to meet or exceed targets. You must have experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development, and managing their performance to achieve results. Ideally, you will have experience developing and managing a calendar of successful charity events that meet fundraising targets and managing or working with a fundraising board or high-value committee. You should have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate and experience writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a major donor audience.

You should be experienced in growing and managing a pipeline, planning for your portfolio, and increasing income.

Community Advice Works is an established community charity based in New Cross in South
East London. As the only charity in the London Borough of Lewisham offering a general
drop-in advice service, we are a critical source of support to vulnerable residents. We have

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Educational Grants & Relationships Manager 

The Merchant Taylors' Company is looking for an exceptional person to lead on its educational grant-making and its education-related relationships. The grant-making is delivered primarily through the Merchant Taylors' Foundation. It’s  partly about schools but also potentially any setting in which education improves lives – for example, offender rehabilitation, or our Early Years joint programme with the Leathersellers’ Company. 

You’ll sustain vibrant relationships between the Company and schools throughout England and Northern Ireland with which it has close links. Some are state-maintained, some in the independent sector, and you’ll love both types.

You’ll lead on education-related volunteering opportunities for the Company’s membership, a vibrant community of people whose birth decades span the early 2000s back to the 1930s. 

You’ll also lead on relationships with all the stakeholders affecting our education-related work. You’ll ensure those relationships are flourishing and mutually advantageous, and you’ll lead on identifying and building new ones to increase our impact. 

You’ll support fundraising work for the Foundation, for example through creating compelling pieces for social media and hard copy publications. 

You’re a fast learner and clearly very able. You are clever, proactive, pragmatic and financially astute. Your influencing and diplomatic skills are strong. Your social skills are brilliant with people of all ages and walks of life. Your oral and written communication skills are excellent, and you’ll need them for working with Merchant Taylors’ boards and committees and communicating with the Company’s membership. You’re not afraid of taking responsibility, or being accountable. You are a strategic thinker. You’re great on the big picture as well as the detail. You’re confident with figures and financial information. You’re also confident with IT and, given we’re a small team, you’ll love using IT applications to help us work efficiently.

We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families. The Adult Services Team Manager is one of 3 team managers reporting to our Chief Executive Officer. The services managed include Direct Payment Support across Richmond and Wandsworth, Befriending and Community Activities, our Benefits and Housing Advice and Information service and our Counselling service.

We constantly research and develop services to meet the identified needs of the community and this role would suit someone who wants a good level of autonomy to develop new ideas.

The Adults Services Manager works alongside our Children’s Team Manager and our Social Prescribing and Community Development Manager, supported by Finance, Fundraising and Campaigns and Communications Managers.

Purpose of Post

• To be responsible for the management of the Support Services to Direct Payment clients in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To be responsible for the research and development of adult services in Richmond and Wandsworth.

Main Duties include:

Management of Direct Payment Support Service

• Lead and manage the Direct Payment Support Service across Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs through an experienced DP Project Manager.
• Provide support to the DP Project Manager to resolve complex DP HR management issues around the area of employment law.
• Support the Project Manager in their work with the local authority to set targets for the project, monitor performance against these targets and identify and resolve any issues that arise.
• Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
• Work with the DP Project Manager and the CEO on new DP projects and funding applications as required.

CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams

• Lead and manage the delivery of the Community activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.
• Work with the CILS partners to ensure that the service is meeting Local Authority targets
• Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
• Responsible for ensuring active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and to ensure representation of Ruils at networking events.
• Work with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to ensure projects are fully funded and demand is well managed.
