Job description

Strengthen Our Global Community — Become the Secretary of Community Affairs!

Volunteer Role | Remote | International

Do you love bringing people together, supporting communities, and helping others feel connected and valued?

Want to play a meaningful role in supporting the Clan Chief and the Lyonic Scots internationally — no Scottish heritage required?

Then we’d be delighted to welcome you as our Secretary of Community Affairs.

The Lyonic Scots Society is seeking a friendly, organised, and community‑minded volunteer to help nurture, support, and grow our global network of members, working closely with the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and the Prince of Scots (Clan Chief) as part of the Lyons Council.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting and strengthening the Lyonic Scots community across different countries.

  • Helping coordinate communication and engagement between international members.

  • Assisting with community‑focused initiatives, outreach, and support programmes.

  • Encouraging participation, inclusion, and a welcoming atmosphere for all.

  • Acting as a key link between the Lyons Council and the wider community.

  • Helping ensure members feel informed, valued, and connected to the Clan Chief’s vision.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone warm, approachable, and passionate about community building.

  • A clear communicator who enjoys supporting and engaging with people.

  • Organised and reliable, with an interest in cultural and community development.

  • A team‑player who can help strengthen global connections.

  • No need to be Scottish — just bring your enthusiasm, empathy, and dedication.

What You’ll Get

  • A respected leadership role supporting the Clan Chief’s international council.

  • Experience in community engagement, cultural outreach, and global coordination.

  • The chance to help shape the social and cultural heart of the Lyonic Scots.

  • A supportive team who’ll value your insight, compassion, and commitment.

  • The satisfaction of helping a unique cultural community flourish worldwide.

If you’re ready to help build and support a vibrant global community for the Lyonic Scots, we’d be honoured to hear from you.

Reach out and join us — your heart for community could help shape our global future.
