About Charity Success Club: Success Club is a dynamic and ambitious charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who are potentially at risk of under-achieving, both academically and socially. We became a charity in November 2018 but have been working in schools since 2014. We believe that, when children and young people succeed in the moment, they create templates that they can use at any time. Our team puts mindfulness at the heart of our intervention, teaching children and young people how to develop a better relationship with themselves. We help students understand the wider implications of negative attitudes, allowing them to find solutions to issues they may face now and in the future. During 2024 we have provided support and activities to 2970 children across 26 schools. Current tracking (for 2025 year to date) show that we are well on the way to surpassing those figures. We are a passionate team of staff and volunteers, supported by a committed Board of Trustees, working together to create lasting change.

The Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN) is seeking a volunteer Trustee with expertise to help us raise the funds to ensure we can continue supporting the nearly 500,000 people (including children) in the UK affected by lymphoedema.

The LSN plays a crucial role in educating individuals, society and health care professionals about lymphoedema and the impact it has on every aspect of life and enabling those living with the condition and those facilitating their care to work together to ensure everyone can control and live well with lymphoedema.

Though lymphoedema isn’t widely understood or provided for in the NHS yet, we are here to support those who need us. While it’s a chronic condition, we believe that with the right care and support, lives can be greatly improved.

Food provision has always been at the heart of what we do. UR4Meals serves approximately 40,000 meals a year, operating five days a week.

UR4Driving works with ex-offenders and young people identified as at risk of offending. We help them pass their driving theory test, and then provide free driving lessons. Last year 37 students gained a full driving licence with us. This has a significant impact on their employability and self-esteem, and dramatically reduces re-offending.

Our Independent Visitor Volunteers provide consistent and supportive relationships to children ad young people in care, offering emotional support, companionship, and guidance through shared activities and time together.  The Independent Visitor plays a vital role in helping the young people build confidence and feel secure while enhancing their personal, social, and cultural development.

As an Independent Visitor Volunteer in England, you might:

• support the child/young person to experience enriching activities that contribute to their personal and cultural development

• engage in activities such as pursuing hobbies, meeting for meals, or socialising in a community setting

Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of healthy citizens. Youth Leaders also help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, and self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be, as well as supervise and support other adult volunteers in their team.

Our retail stores are the face of our charity on the high-street and in local communities. We have loads of amazing stock donated to us every week, and this all needs to be sorted, tagged and put on the shop-floor for sale!

Making sure our shops look fantastic is another task you can get involved with. You may also be required to help out on the till too, but we will show you how that works during your time volunteering with us. We value the contribution of everyone who supports Barnardo’s.

Role Summary.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Podcast Producer to support the planning and delivery of the Firmly Rooted Podcast. You will be responsible for planning and booking studio recording sessions, managing post production editing, and working closely with the host and other team members to make this the no #1 podcast for Muslim university students. 

Key tasks

• Brainstorming, contacting and liaising with guests to appear on the podcast

• Booking and preparing the recording studio for filming sessions

• Recording the podcast in the studio alongside the guest and host

• Cooperating with the host to plan the structure and topics covered in each episode

• Coordinating research and brainstorming sessions to identify potential guests and topics

• Collaborating with data analyst and design team to test and produce attention-grabbing thumbnails and titles

• Uploading the podcast to our video and audio platforms

We’re looking for a motivated, creative and highly organised I Am Proud Stage Manager to supervise the I Am Proud sub-team and lead the delivery of our event’s panel stage, programming entertainment that represents and celebrates the bi+ community.

Ideal time commitment: approx. 5-10 hours per month; flexible. This is likely to increase on the approach to an event.

Location: remote/ home based, in-person attendance at events is desirable.

Supported/ supervised by: the Head of Events, also working closely with volunteers in the I Am Proud Stage sub-team and Events team.

Bi Pride UK’s mission is to create spaces where people who experience attraction beyond gender can be freely visible and celebrate themselves and their identities. It’s not enough to be ‘welcome’ at Pride. We make up a very large proportion of the queer community – the 2021 Census actually shows we’re half of the community – and we deserve to be visible and celebrated in our own right.

There are many ways to make this happen, and we work in many ways to bring this change about:

• Outreach work with other Prides, LGBTQ+ organisations and bi organisations – our consultation work with local Prides, the UK Pride Organisers Network and local and national LGBTQ+ organisations works in a tailored way to make sure that bi inclusion is a top priority and is being done well
• Organising a high-profile annual Bi Pride event – from September 2019, Bi Pride UK made history with the largest ever gathering of bi people recorded. A performance stage, a panel stage, stall village, street food, and over 1,300 attendees. After going virtual with the BiFi Festival for 2020 due to Covid-19 and running a virtual Pride event in 2021, we came back in person in 2022 with a hybrid event, and have been running the event in this format ever since
• Building a strong online and virtual community – just as important as the rest of our work is making sure that people hear about it! People need to know what resources and spaces exist for them, and how they can connect with other people like them

The role:

The Events team at Bi Pride UK is one of the core operational teams within the charity. The team handles programming, production and execution of our events, including our annual flagship Bi Pride event, which holds the record for the largest Bi Pride event in the world. The I Am Proud Stage Manager will take operational responsibility for the I Am Proud Stage within Bi Pride UK’s events; a panel-based stage which spotlights intersectional discussions, interviews and activism, dedicated to the bi+ experience. 

The I Am Proud Stage Manager will lead on the planning and delivery of the I Am Proud Stage programming at Bi Pride UK’s events, and will be supported by a small team of I Am Proud Stage Assistant Managers. The I Am Proud Stage Manager will also supervise the I Am Proud Stage sub-team, as well as the I Am Proud Stage’s “on-the-day” event volunteers. The holder of this role will work to provide a programme of live entertainment that represents and celebrates bi+ people, their voices and their experiences.

Key tasks of this role will include: 

• Working closely with the Head of Events and Events Trustee, as well as volunteers across the charity, to deliver an I Am Proud Stage provision that meets the charity’s vision;
• Booking a diverse range of speakers and hosts, after contributing to assessments of each speaker’s application for suitability/ reputational risk against the aims and objectives of Bi Pride UK;
• Liaising with the venue, the venue’s technical team and speakers to arrange the logistics for the I Am Proud Stage delivery (including agreeing upon riders, stage layout and equipment, lighting and sound requirements and arrival/ panel times, etc.);
• Overseeing the completion of speaker contracts, receipt of invoices and other relevant documentation, including accurate record keeping and storage of such documents;
• Leading logistical aspects to ensure the smooth running of the I Am Proud Stage on the day of the event, including stage set up/ take down, time management/ scheduling, troubleshooting any issues arising on the I Am Proud Stage and liaising with other departments involved in the I Am Proud Stage delivery (e.g. lighting and sound technicians, streaming technicians, Artist Liaison volunteers, speakers, BSL interpreters, etc.);
• Supervising a small team of year-round volunteers (dedicated to the planning of the I Am Proud Stage programming) and a small team of “on-the-day” event volunteers (responsible for the smooth delivery of the I Am Proud Stage programming at the event);
• Maintaining positive relationships and facilitating effective communication with prospective speakers, confirmed speakers, volunteers, the venue, and any other relevant stakeholders;
• Working with the Access & Inclusion team and the Accessibility Consultant to implement their recommendations and ensure the I Am Proud Stage is fully accessible. 

Our team volunteers remotely from anywhere in the UK, with some travel required occasionally (primarily for our flagship Pride event in London in August). All reasonable expenses incurred are reimbursed, including travel, lunch at away days and other all day events, and some childcare costs if required. The successful candidate will be invited to fortnightly Events team meetings on Wednesday evenings via conference call, in addition to I Am Proud Stage programming meetings which will be scheduled in line with the team’s best availability. 

Volunteer specification:

• Interest and passion for tackling discrimination against and improving the visibility of people in the UK attracted to more than one gender;
• An understanding of the needs of people and communities in the UK attracted beyond gender;
• Commitment to the aims and objectives of Bi Pride UK;
• Experience of stage management; 
• Understanding of organising event logistics (e.g. venue layout, timings, resources) and good awareness of relevant health and safety and risk management measures linked to stage-based performances;
• Ability to manage a team budget; financially planning so that a thought-provoking and high-quality programme of speakers can be booked, whilst remaining within the remit of the assigned budget;
• Some experience of overseeing a team, especially volunteers;
• Ability to handle documentation and accurate record keeping in a manner which adheres to confidentiality and GDPR requirements;
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with volunteers at all levels within the organisation, as well as with external contributors (for example, speakers);
• Excellent IT skills (for example, Google Workspace applications);
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Strong team player, with the ability to self-motivate when working remotely;
• Availability on Saturday 29th August 2026 to support delivery of Bi Pride’s flagship event in London.

The Treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and report to the Board of Trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The Treasurer will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity.

Principal responsibilities:

 · Overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts, financial statements and financial reports to the Board of Trustees after discussion with the Directors

· Being assured that the financial resources of the organisation meet its present and future needs and are within the charitiy’s objects

· Playing a key role in the development and implementation of appropriate financial policy and procedures, reserves policy and investment policy.

Main duties:

· Liaising with the directors about financial matters

· Keeping the board informed about its financial duties and responsibilities

· Ensuring that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place

· Advising on the financial implications of the organisation's strategic plans and assisting with appropriate budgeting/forecasting

· Liaising with the charity’s auditors where appropriate

· Liaising with the chair and directors to ensure that the charities annual accounts are compliant with the current Charities SORP

· Ensuring equipment and assets are adequately maintained and insured

· Making a formal presentation of the accounts at the annual general meeting and drawing attention to important points in a coherent and easily understandable way

 Person specification

 We’re seeking someone who has a strong commitment to gender equality and empathy with our mission. Experience in accountancy or bookkeeping is required.  Previous experience working with a non-profit is preferred but not necessary.

This flexible home volunteering role is worthwhile and rewarding. Make a real difference writing letters. As a Volunteer Penpal Writer you’ll be a key member of the Letterbox Team. Your letters will cheer someone up and establish a trusting, supportive relationship with a client who might be lonely or socially isolated.

What tasks can this role include (some or all of the following):

• Writing letters to clients
• Building trust and companionship with a client through correspondence. Omega befriends a variety of people including: caregivers, the lonely, isolated or people with ill-health.
• Liaising with the Letterbox Team by email or post.
• Respecting service standards, appropriate boundaries and recognising the policies and procedures that are necessary when befriending adults at risk.
• Making suggestions to help us improve the service we provide to clients and Volunteer Pen pal Writers.

This role could be for you, if you:

We’re Foothold, and we’re looking for a new Honorary Treasurer.
Our Trustees play a big part in helping us to achieve our strategic objectives and meet the needs of those we’re committed to support: engineers and their families worldwide.
 

What will you be doing?

Our Trustees get together five times a year for a mixture of virtual and in-person meetings (four Board meetings and one training day with staff), as well as spending time before meetings reading the Board papers and preparing, totaling a commitment of 50–70 hours a year of their time.
They’re responsible for providing strategic direction and making key decisions to ensure we’re delivering on our objectives.
They serve on three Committees.

 

What are we looking for?

Financial and audit/risk experience (a recognised financial qualification is desirable) and strong knowledge of Statements of Recommended Practice, charity and company law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Experience gained as Trustee or Non-Executive Director in a similarly complex service-orientated  organisation.
Strong understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Trusteeship.
