Job description

Help Guide Our Future — Become the Secretary of Finance!

Volunteer Role | Remote | International

Are you someone who enjoys keeping finances organised, supporting strategic decisions, and helping a community grow sustainably?

Want to play a meaningful role in supporting the Clan Chief and the Lyonic Scots internationally — no Scottish heritage required?

Then we’d be delighted to welcome you as our Secretary of Finance.

The Lyonic Scots is seeking a reliable, detail‑focused, and forward‑thinking volunteer to oversee financial coordination at an international level, supporting the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and the Prince of Scots (Clan Chief) as part of the Lyons Council.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the financial oversight of the Lyonic Scots internationally.

  • Helping maintain clear, accurate financial records for the Lyons Council.

  • Assisting with budgeting, planning, and financial reporting.

  • Providing financial insight to support global strategy and decision‑making.

  • Ensuring transparency and good governance across international activities.

  • Working closely with senior leadership to help guide the Society’s financial future.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone organised, trustworthy, and confident with numbers.

  • Comfortable handling financial information and basic bookkeeping.

  • A clear communicator who can explain financial matters simply.

  • A supportive team‑player who enjoys contributing to long‑term planning.

  • No need to be Scottish — just bring your integrity, skills, and enthusiasm.

What You’ll Get

  • A respected leadership role supporting the Clan Chief’s international council.

  • Experience in financial coordination within a global cultural organisation.

  • The chance to help shape the sustainable future of the Lyonic Scots.

  • A supportive team who’ll value your clarity, diligence, and commitment.

  • The satisfaction of helping a unique cultural heritage grow responsibly worldwide.

If you’re ready to take on a meaningful financial leadership role and support the Lyonic Scots at an international level, we’d be honoured to hear from you.

Reach out and join us — your skills could help secure our global future.
