Our Blackheath Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

We are seeking Event Doctors to respond and manage emergency calls/incidents at events, which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports tracks, road races etc. Event doctors shall provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care while undertaking clinical assessment and interventions in the pre-hospital environment. This will mainly involve working in mobile treatment centres or temporary event medical centres

 Successful candidates will be registered medical practitioners with the GMC, without cautions or restrictions, and hold a licence to practice outside of an approved practice setting.

About the Role

Victory Afghanistan is a US registered 501c3 charity based in Chicago, led by Afghan women and supported by more than 100 volunteers from 27 countries. We provide free online English education, mentoring and career pathways for over 850 Afghan girls and women who are currently banned from attending school or university.

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic and entrepreneurial Career Pathways Manager to launch and lead a team focused on developing employment and internship opportunities for our senior students.

After completing our six level English programme and four semester mentoring course, students face three possible pathways:

1. Applying for international university scholarships abroad

2. Completing an online university qualification

3. Finding paid online work or remote internships — this is where you come in

Your role will be to build this pathway from the ground up, supported by a small team of Afghan volunteer project coordinators (each committing up to six hours per week). All are graduates or senior students from our programme.

You Will

• Develop a clear understanding of the online work landscape for Afghan women

• Explore safe and realistic income and internship pathways

• Identify potential partnerships with charities, NGOs, UN affiliates and socially responsible businesses

• Collaborate with Afghan project coordinators and our international leadership team

• Help shape long term systems for students to access paid work or meaningful career building experiences

Who You Are

• A committed professional with a background in charities, NGOs, international development, HR or social entrepreneurship

• Someone with excellent English and strong internet access

• Highly organised, adaptable and able to take initiative with limited resources

• Based outside Afghanistan (UK or Europe preferred for time zone, but open globally)

• A strong communicator with a sense of humour and a practical, solutions focused mindset

• Ready to commit around six hours per week through November 2025 (current semester)

About Victory Afghanistan

Victory Afghanistan is a grassroots charity registered in Chicago as a US 501c3. We are entirely volunteer led and currently provide free, high quality online education and mentoring to more than 800 girls and young women in Afghanistan. Our programme delivers six levels of English instruction through our online academy, followed by three mentoring pathways which lead to online scholarships, international scholarships and career readiness for remote work. The Opportunity

We are now seeking several Volunteer Project Managers – Fundraising to join our international team from now until November 2025.

This is a chance to take on a leadership role in a fast moving and values driven organisation. You will support Afghan project coordinators who are already active in fundraising and help us build partnerships and resources for the future.

• Experience in project work or fundraising (charity or nonprofit background is an advantage but not required)

• Confidence and initiative, with the courage to reach out to potential donors, benefactors and partners

• Willingness to contribute around six hours per week on a flexible and fully remote basis

The role of a Social Media Engager is to:

· Create and edit social media content about the support offered by No Panic.

· Create social media and podcast content with patrons, partners and other professionals.

· Amplify content published by other No Panic teams.

· Respond on behalf of No Panic to interactions with our social media.

You will need to provide a reference.

Expected amount of time spent doing this role is 3-4 hours a week, this will vary.

We ask you to commit to volunteer for a year.
