· Create engaging graphics using Canva

· Help shape clear, compassionate and engaging messaging

· Support our campaigns and awareness‑raising work

What we’re looking for:

· Strong written communication skills

· Strong design skills, using Canva or similar

· Experience (paid or voluntary) with social media or email content

· Ability to write sensitively about difficult issues

· Reliability

The Finance Volunteer role is largely home based, but it varies from branch to branch – some branches hold in-person meetings once a month or so, and their Finance Volunteers tend to be based in the area the branch covers.

Fundraising Administrator Volunteer

Volunteer Role – 1 Day per week office based on a Tuesday

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and reliable volunteer to support our fundraising and administration activities one day per week on site. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, working with data, and supporting charitable fundraising activity.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Data entry and data cleaning of database records

• Processing donations and maintaining supporter records
• Using and updating details on database systems (specifically Raiser’s Edge – training will be provided)
• General office administration and administrative support
• Assisting with fundraising administration and supporter communications including phone calls
• Maintaining database records in line with data protection requirements 
• Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Confident using the internet and email systems (specifically Outlook – training will be provided)
• Organised, accurate and able to manage administrative tasks efficiently
• Comfortable working with databases and willing to learn new systems

• Previous administration or fundraising experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Time expectation 

This is a flexible role and the hours will vary depending on the number of cats identified for specific TNR campaigns. Our current TNR volunteers spend about 2 to 3 hours per week in this role which can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

We work across larger parks, pocket parks, community centres, streets and green spaces across BD3, BD4 and BD5.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and highly motivated individual, who is looking to gain some practical landscape maintenance experience.

As a Volunteer Urban Ranger, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the upkeep of our sites, regularly checking that each site is safe, inviting, and free from rubbish — noting any issues that arise.

Duties include: Litter clearance, sweeping sand back into the sand pits, weeding, planting, watering plants, affixing signs, checking in on the Little Free Library boxes, strimming, raking leaves, supporting at event days, promoting responsible use and enjoyment of our sites.

This role is for you if you;

• Enjoy being outdoors (in all weather)

As a Conversational English Volunteer, you will support adults and families seeking sanctuary in the UK to practice and build confidence in spoken English through friendly, informal conversation sessions. Working alongside other volunteers, you will help develop and facilitate weekly sessions focusing on topics that promote integration and wellbeing.

You will play an important role in reducing isolation, improving confidence, and supporting the wellbeing of people from migrant backgrounds. This role is crucial in complementing existing Migrant Help services by providing welcoming, in-person opportunities for social connection and language practice.

• Provide regular weekly Conversational English sessions for people seeking asylum
• Together with other volunteers, plan the sessions and materials
• Build trusting relationships with students
• Find out from students’ what areas they want to cover and what skills they want to develop, and incorporate this into future sessions
• Provide encouragement to speak English and create a safe environment to make mistakes and build confidence
• Set up and pack away the resources
• Be empathetic and patient in sessions
• Provide ongoing feedback to Volunteer Coordinator throughout the duration of the project
• Uphold professional boundaries
• Report any safeguarding or confidentiality breach concerns to your volunteer supervisor as soon as possible.

Here at Migrant Help, we support people seeking asylum in the UK. The small, yet lovely, garden is a place of sanctuary, where those we support can sit in the sun (or rain!) with their friends, learn new skills by taking care of the garden and get their hands dirty. It is a place for enjoyment, while also providing an opportunity to get involved in keeping our garden beautiful!

We rely on volunteers to keep our garden alive, and welcome new ideas. Growing fruit, veg and herbs is a great way for the people we support to get involved with food and gardening, make friends and keep busy!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Human Rights and Advocacy directorate at Humanists UK. Across the whole charity, our dream is of a tolerant world where rational thinking and kindness prevail. Our dedicated staff of 35+ and hundreds of volunteers work hard to achieve this aim.

The Human Rights and Advocacy directorate is looking for a volunteer for three months to support our campaigns and public affairs work. We are looking for a passionate, committed, articulate, and creative person with excellent research skills to take on this important role in our organisation.

We have selected these strategically important active campaigns based on their significance to humanists, their social impact, and our prospects for success in the current environment. They reflect areas of public debate where a rational, humanist influence is sorely needed, and where we know we’ll have the biggest impact.

Outside of these priority campaigns, we keep a close eye across over 20 key areas of policy – ready to leap into action to defend freedom of thought, choice, and expression, or to stand for the rights of the non-religious.

We are looking for a  Volunteer & Recruitment Manager who will be a proactive, outgoing and organised person with a passion for volunteering and who understands the difference that volunteers can make to the community. In this role you will help to recruit Trustees, Committee Members, activity leaders and other volunteers to build and maintain a robust infrastructure around our current team members enabling the organisation to grow and prosper.

Volunteers are a critical part of the Charity’s foundation, providing the organisation’s services and supporting the fundraising goals. The Volunteer & Recruitment Manager role is to recruit, maintain and manage the Charity’s volunteers as well as raising awareness of volunteer opportunities within the community through various engagement initiatives.

You will help develop and grow our team by increasing the number of volunteers, meeting internal demand and enabling growth in new areas. 

We would like you to:

• Write job descriptions for current vacant roles
• Source relevant websites / organisations which specialise in recruiting volunteers
• Advertise vacancies through specialist volunteer websites and other outlets
• Research websites / sources to find and contact suitable candidates for CAG vacancies
• Review covering letters and CVs and shortlist potential candidates
• Regularly communicate with and feed back to the Committee on progress made
• Interview candidates along with another member of the Committee
• Process relevant paperwork for successful and unsuccessful candidates
• Maintain relevant records in a confidential manner as per GDPR
• Maintain a close working relationship with current team members to ensure the aims of the organisation and individual are being met

Ideally you should have:

• Experience of managing a volunteer function 
• The ability to attract, motivate and retain volunteers
• An understanding of the legislation and best practice for volunteering
• Knowledge and experience of other relevant agencies working with volunteers
• Be able to communicate effectively and clearly to a range of internal and external customers
• Be creative in the ability to attract and retain volunteers
• Good time management and organisational skills
• A flexible team player
• Ability to engage and build a rapport with a wide range of people
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships
• The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Check

The volunteer should also have/be:

• IT competent and confident
• A car driver or have ability to travel to attend events & meetings
• Experience of working within HR or Recruitment

Making a difference – what impact will the opportunity have?

Your input is key to the day to day running of CAG as well as securing its future.  We want you to help us find the right people to fill roles such as Treasurer, Program Manager, Secretary as well as recruiting new Leaders to help run our weekly activities and to take our members on exciting weekends away.  You will be helping us build a team of volunteers who can support both the administrative side of CAG as well as those running our termly program.  Our volunteers are the lifeblood of CAG and you will play a crucial part in keeping that heart beating.

Where will the volunteer be working?

The volunteer will work from home will be required to attend meetings within the Solihull area.

Travel Limit

This role is partly remote but ideally the candidate should be available for face to face Committee and other meetings.

When will the volunteer be working?

Volunteer availability

• Flexible so during office hours if necessary for certain events but evenings if preferred
• You would need to be available to attend Committee meetings which normally take place in the evening
• Occasional weekends to attend recruitment events

Estimate of time commitment

• 0 – 3 hours / week – the candidate will be able to offer further time as they wish
