Overview
Baby Basics Northampton are seeking a friendly, efficient and reliable individual to act as a clerk to our Trustee (governing) board.
Working effectively with the Chair of Trustees and other Trustees, the Clerk will be responsible preparing agendas for meetings and ensuring the smooth running of meetings and maintaining accurate records.
This is a part-time voluntary role with circa 12 meetings held annually in-person. It is anticipated the role will require a commitment of 4 hours per month. Most meetings are held in the evenings. There may be opportunities to support outside of the meetings at events etc.

- Produce, collate and distribute agendas and papers to ensure Trustees receive them within the agreed timescale;

Through our term-long after-school programmes, we develop the literacy, confidence and perseverance of children aged 9-13 who are falling behind in school and have fewer opportunities in their personal lives, so that they can succeed at school and beyond.
Children join us on our Virtual Ship once a week to practise their reading and writing. By welcoming them into our joyful spaces, publishing their work in the real world, and celebrating everything they do, we develop their literacy, confidence and perseverance.
What does a Volunteer do?
As a Volunteer Crewmate, your role is to join our online sessions and help children practise their reading and writing in small groups by providing constant encouragement, positivity and celebration of their achievements.
Sessions are led and managed by staff, which means your time is solely focused on supporting the children in breakout rooms.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, fast learning Senior Engagement Intern, Midlands & Wales intern to join our growing team at Human Appeal; helping us with admin tasks, recruitment of volunteers for events and online fundraising campaigns, research for various upcoming events and help with general tasks.
Main tasks include:

Administrative tasks such as collating data, contacting signups for various challenges, deployments and events.

Assist with administrational tasks relating to fundraising

Research venues, catering and other fundraising related tasks for upcoming events

May be asked to go to occasional events dependent on location
Knowledge/Experience/Skills required:

A good understanding of humanitarian relief

Effective written and oral communication skills

Problem solving skills

Ability to prioritise your workload
