Period Reality
We fight for gender equity through system-level change by educating about and advocating for living in sync with your cycle.
Period Reality aims to address period related issues and stories by sharing the real life stories from girls and women globally. Although half the population experiences a menstrual cycle, the stark contrast in the different realities of girls and women is very real and through storytelling we aim to educate and provide relatable content.
Through sharing stories from girls and women focused on their common humanities. Even though our realities might be very different depending on many factors (physical, geographical, socio-economical, mental etc.) we all share a lot of the same questions, worries, dreams, anxieties, ambitious etc. Making these stories relatable and accessible will educate and inspire and create a movement of girls and women being able to first and foremost understand their own cycle, in order to be kind to themselves.

InterVol is a student volunteering charity in the United Kingdom that connects students with volunteering opportunities locally and overseas. InterVol supports students to develop their skills with community projects in the UK and then use those skills to support the work of charitable partners overseas on health, education, refugee support, and conservation placements. Our project placements and volunteering opportunities are designed by our local partners and with the long-term needs of beneficiaries and communities in mind. InterVol supports a network of five student societies at English universities with around one hundred volunteers annually.
InterVol is looking for new trustees to join our board. Trustees are responsible for ensuring that InterVol follows our guiding principles and acts within the law. This includes the timely submissions to the Charity Commission, ensuring that volunteering is safe and appropriate, and developing and maintaining a long-term strategy for InterVol. InterVol is a small charity with no staff, so trustees also play an important role in maintaining institutional memory for student committees which change annually.
We are recruiting for general trustee roles and for a treasurer. For the treasurer role, we are looking for applicants with a specialism in financial management to oversee our bank account, monitor our online donation platform, make grants, donations and payments, and report on our finances annually to the Charity Commission. -
Attend termly meetings (three annually, online) and annual meetings, where possible.
-
Provide advice to the trustee board and our committees. This is either by email, or through the Trustees WhatsApp group.
-
Work on specific projects with other trustees and advisors, e.g. managing interns, setting up new placement partnerships, and conducting/reviewing risk assessments.
-
Identify potential partnerships in both the United Kingdom and overseas to forward the goals of the charity and strengthen our existing university projects.
-
Attend training and network events to represent InterVol, make new connections and bring new ideas into the charity.
-
Commit to 2-3 years of supporting the charity before handing over or renewing your term.
-
Be based in the United Kingdom to allow travel to meetings.

-
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
-
Flexible and able to provide support on an ad hoc basis
-

SendToGive
We inspire creativity and social change.
We address two challenges:
- Individual feelings of helplessness and anxiety amidst big, global problems such as poverty and climate change combined with a growing disconnection between individuals, cultures and communities across the world.
- The lack of access to essential resources for marginalized groups of people. One example is that today, about 3.6 million Filipinos live without access to electricity or light. They get by with kerosine lamps which are not only hazardous to human health but dangerous to the environment. And now, with the global oil crisis in effect, families can literally burn up to 40% of their monthly income for just 2 hours/night of a dim flame.
It is our mission to enable people to apply their creativity for the benefit of society. We want to bring together artists from every discipline, age, and aspiration and enable them to collaborate on a platform that not only gives them visibility but a meaningful purpose behind their work. Ultimately, we want to mobilise communities to solve real-world problems in a fun and creative way. We do this on a per-project basis and mix the elements of creativity, culture, and social impact into everything we do. We have worked with DJs, dancers, graphic artists, directors, as well as early creatives who have helped us with event decoration, social media promotion, support with grant writing. Our collaborators have come from across the world. Among the impacts we have made, it ranges from projects that make an impact for disadvantaged families in the Philippines, to supporting low-income LGBTQ communities with their rental costs.
Dear Volunteers,
We are a young, creative social impact organisation based in Berlin that has already positively impacted the lives of over 500 people. We believe that every person has the power to shape the world around them, and work on unlocking that power through creativity and collaboration. We welcome you to join us!

Recycllux
Recycllux solves the marine plastic waste crisis by enabling corporations, coastal authorities, and ports to act through our Marine Plastic Cleanup-as-a-Service (AI satellite-powered plastic pollution detection, decentralized cleanup operations, traceable plastic offset & ESG reporting).
Recycllux tackles the escalating crisis of marine plastic pollution, which endangers ecosystems, disrupts coastal economies, and accelerates climate change. Each year, 12 million tons of plastic enter the seas and oceans—set to triple by 2040. Despite EU mandates for urgent action, existing solutions fail due to lack of real-time monitoring, scalable cleanup methods, and transparent impact verification.
Recycllux solves the marine plastic waste crisis by enabling corporations, coastal authorities, and ports to act through our Marine Plastic Cleanup-as-a-Service platform that integrates:
- AI satelite-powered marine plastic detection to provide real-time data on plastic pollution spots in the sea;
- Decentralized cleanup operations leveraging local value chains (fishing vessels, NGOs, recyclers) with blockchain-based traceability.
- Certified ESG reports and Plastic Offset Credits for compliance and sustainability.
Our AI-driven satellite analysis identifies marine plastic hotspots in the seas, enabling efficient, targeted decentralized cleanup interventions to effectively remove plastic waste and ensure it is reintegrated into the circular economy. The blockchain-based intervention management portal ensures full traceability from detection to collection, recycling, and impact reporting, allowing companies, coastal authorities, and ports to demonstrate compliance and sustainability efforts transparently.
By embedding collection within coastal communities and engaging local fishing fleets and local NGOs, we minimize carbon emissions, create local jobs, and improve cost efficiency. Partnering with local recyclers and repurposing facilities, we ensure that plastic waste is reintegrated into the circular economy, reducing reliance on virgin plastics and cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
Recycllux advances climate resilience by preventing plastic pollution from harming marine ecosystems, enhancing seas health and mitigating pollution-related CO₂ emissions.

Najimudu Empowerment Initiative
Najimudu Empowerment Initiative empowers communities through climate-resilient health solutions, civic education, and sustainable development programs.
Najimudu Empowerment Initiative addresses the dual challenge of climate change and social justice by advocating for climate-resilient communities and equitable access to health and environmental resources. Climate change disproportionately affects marginalized populations—women, youth, and persons with disabilities—who often bear the brunt of environmental degradation, food insecurity, and health crises caused by extreme weather events.
We work at the grassroots level to bridge these gaps through climate education, policy advocacy, and community-driven solutions. Our programs include tree-planting initiatives to combat deforestation, sustainable menstrual hygiene campaigns to reduce plastic waste, and health camps that integrate climate adaptation strategies. By empowering underserved communities with knowledge, resources, and a platform to influence policies, we promote climate justice and equitable sustainability.
Najimudu Empowerment Initiative addresses climate change and social justice by integrating climate resilience into public health and community-driven sustainability efforts. We provide climate-adaptive healthcare interventions through free health camps, educating communities on climate-related health risks while promoting sustainable water management and heatwave response strategies. Our eco-friendly initiatives include tree-planting projects to combat deforestation and sustainable menstrual hygiene programs to reduce plastic waste and ensure menstrual equity. Through civic education and advocacy, we empower youth, women, and persons with disabilities to demand climate justice and influence policies that promote equitable resource allocation. Sembeza Africa
Sembeza Africa provides Quality Physical Education (QPE) programs that empower youth and communities in Uganda, integrating sports with education, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
Uganda’s youth face significant barriers, including limited access to quality education, early pregnancies, and a lack of inclusive opportunities for physical and personal development. With over 75% of the population under the age of 30, Uganda needs initiatives that address these challenges holistically. Physical education in many schools remains underdeveloped, leaving children without the critical skills for leadership, teamwork, and resilience. Furthermore, environmental degradation threatens the communities we serve, and gender inequality continues to limit opportunities for girls to participate in sports and education.
Sembeza Africa focuses on delivering Quality Physical Education (QPE) programs that promote physical activity as a foundation for learning and life skills. By integrating sports into education, we empower youth to build confidence, develop leadership abilities, and foster inclusivity. Our programs also incorporate elements of Traditional African Sports and Games (TASG) to preserve cultural heritage while making physical education more engaging. Through structured QPE initiatives, we address critical issues such as gender equality, environmental stewardship, and access to education, aligning our work with Uganda’s national development priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Thank you for considering joining our team! At Sembeza Africa, we are a small group of passionate individuals who dedicate our time to creating meaningful change in Uganda. Each of us is either working full-time or studying full-time, but our shared commitment to empowering youth through Quality Physical Education and sustainable development drives everything we do.
We know we can’t do this alone. That’s why your support means so much to us. Whether it’s helping with planning, fundraising, outreach, or any other task, every bit of assistance makes a huge difference. Together, we can accomplish so much more than we ever could alone.
Each year, we travel to Uganda to host the Ubuntu Sports Festival, an inspiring event that brings communities together through sports, education, and cultural celebration. As part of our team, you’ll not only be contributing to this life-changing work but also be invited to join us in Uganda for the festival. It’s an unforgettable experience and a chance to see the impact of our work firsthand.
We deeply appreciate your time, energy, and willingness to be part of this journey with us. Together, we can create lasting change and empower the next generation in Uganda.
