We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our recruitment and volunteer coordination processes. You will work closely with the HR & Recruitment Officer to help manage and streamline recruitment — from posting roles to onboarding new volunteers.

A key part of this role involves helping us maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system, which we use to track applicants, monitor recruitment progress, and support onboarding. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in HR and systems administration within a grassroots charity environment.
 

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:

• Support the creation and editing of clear, inclusive job descriptions and role advertisements.

• Upload and promote vacancies on recruitment platforms, volunteer sites, and social media.

• Track applications using our CRM system and maintain accurate candidate records.

• Assist with application screening based on set criteria.

• Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates professionally and promptly.

• Support onboarding tasks such as reference checks, document collection, and CRM updates.

• Collaborate with the HR & Recruitment Officer to keep our recruitment processes efficient and well-organised.

• Help ensure that our recruitment is inclusive, fair, and data-compliant.

• Attend a monthly meeting with your line manager, updating on any progress, challenges etc.

Volunteer: The PR Officer of Hidayah plays a vital role in raising the profile of the organisation. The PR Officer will take the lead in managing relationships with external media, agencies, and partners to help Hidayah achieve its strategic aims. The PR officer will work closely with the Chair and two digital trustees, and focus on increasing visibility, strengthening our public image, and supporting advocacy through effective communication.
 

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:

• Act as the main point of contact for external media outlets, journalists, and PR agencies on behalf of Hidayah.

• Work with the Chair to help implement their media strategy and PR aims.

• Draft, review and issue press releases, statements, and media content as needed.

• Identify media opportunities that can help platform Hidayah’s work, voices, and campaigns.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with media partners, influencers, and relevant organisations.

• Provide PR advice and guidance to the Chair and help ensure consistent messaging.

• Contribute to the development of key messaging and ensure alignment with organisational policies and values.

• Help monitor media coverage and report back to the Chair on PR impact and reach.

How much commitment is required?

We are flexible around your own schedule. One average the role will require 2-4 hours per week. The following commitments are in place for all Hidayah volunteers:

• To help with fundraising efforts by securing media coverage for campaigns and initiatives.

• To check and respond to PR-related emails promptly.

The Discord Community Manager will play a key role in bringing our online community to life. This role is all about creating a welcoming and friendly space where members will feel comfortable chatting and building connections. By sparking conversations and encouraging interaction, you’ll help turn our Discord into a lively community hub.
 

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:

• Monitor Discord chats and threads to keep conversations safe, respectful and inclusive.

• Actively encourage discussion and help keep chats flowing by posting prompts, asking questions and joining in conversations.

• Maintain a positive presence online, ensuring members feel valued and engaged.

• Welcome new members, help them get settled and foster a sense of belonging.

• Share creative ideas to boost participation (e.g. themed discussion days, polls, mini-events, QOTDs).

• Support or host occasional online community events (e.g. group chats, Q&As, game nights, or discussion sessions) to bring members together.

• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to share feedback, insights and opportunities for community growth.

What will you be doing?

Racing Homes’s board meet four times a year, usually twice via video-call and twice in person. The meetings are currently routinely attended by trustees and committee members, the Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Housing and Finance Director.  The meetings are held to report on and discuss the performance of Racing Homes, its strategy, to consider any current issues or challenges facing the charity, provide advice to the main board to help assist with high level decision making.

There will also be the requirement to undertake a committee member induction which we anticipate being a one-off one-day commitment.  Each year, in addition to the committee meetings we anticipate another two days commitment would be required.

We invite committee members to join the Charity for an initial period of three years with the possibility of Trusteeship after one year.

We are seeking to add to the expertise that we have on the Racing Homes committee, through enthusiastic individuals who have experience and skills in the following areas:

· Professional experience delivering capital projects; or

Principal Responsibilities
• Maintain a comprehensive overview of trends and developments on women's human rights globally;
• Must be able to submit a minimum of two (2) articles a month for publication, avg 600-800 words;
• Verify accuracy of facts and obtain supplemental material and additional details from files, reference libraries, and
interviews with knowledgeable sources;
• Organise material and report conforming to specified length, style, and format requirements;
• Interview people in a range of different circumstances as needed;

Seeking Human Resources Coordinator to assist new staff with onboarding, as well as to communicate with staff and assist with any HR related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
• Maintain both hard and digital copies of staff records.
• Assist with the recruitment process by placing hiring notices, confirming scheduled interview dates and issuing staff contracts.
• Update records of new staff.
• Support other assigned functions.

 Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR coordinator (essential).
• Exposure to labour laws and employment equity regulations.
• Effective HR administration and people management skills.
• Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who shares our values to join us as a Music Education Trustee, maximising the impact of our music education strategy in helping children and young people from families on low income in Surrey to make music.

Specific Tasks

Identifying, developing and overseeing appropriate group teaching and ensemble projects in primary and secondary schools with high pupil premium ratios. Such  projects will be funded or co-funded by CKT but delivered by other established music education providers 

Managing CKT’ s interface with

• Surrey Arts (including at chief executive and area manager level),
• Surrey state schools  as potential beneficiaries of CKT’s work
• other providers of music education in Surrey including Rock Schools

Working with:

• CKTs music education advisers to help define and deliver the above
• the bursaries trustee/manager to ensure that the criteria and process for CKTs bursaries maximises CKT’s impact
• the marketing and communications manager to best market what CKT offers to schools and music teachers
• Trustees, taking the lead on fundraising in developing applications for grants to fund CKT’s project work
• Acting as one of CKT’s Trustees and Directors attending and contributing to board meetings
• Performing such other tasks and activities for CKT as skills and time allow

Skills and experience required

In depth experience of music education at primary and/or secondary level

This will probably have been gained through practical experience either as a successful school head of music and/or in a county music service and/or in a music education charity or provider
