Our Board of Trustees play a vital role in making sure that WORTH achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management, administration and governance of the charity. Trustee Duties:

Previous governance experience is preferable but not essential. The role is open to remote and local applicants.

ThriveSpark Foundation CIO is the charitable arm of ThriveSpark C.I.C, a new social enterprise in Southampton. MARINElife is a science charity that conducts cetacean and seabird research and monitoring by gathering information of key marine species so they can be better protected and we are seeking a Trustee Treasurer.  For over 30 Years, we have carried out research, educational and outreach work on whales, dolphins, seabirds and other marine animals in the oceans of North-west Europe. We also provide relevant, robust and up-to-date information to those working for the sustainable future of our oceans.

The vital work is done in partnership with a wide range of sponsoring bodies from ecotourism through to research institutes and shipping companies. Our goal is to help conserve marine animals and to raise awareness of the threats they face by engaging the public and policymakers.

Everyone here has a passion for the marine environment. Our Trustees play a key role and are responsible for the oversight and governance of the charity, including ensuring the charity has the strategy to deliver its aims. They work as a team on the MARINElife Board of Trustees and also take a hands-on lead on specific topics as required.

Day- to- day operation of the charity is carried out by a small and dedicated team. They work with an enthusiastic community of volunteers and supporters, who survey the seas and deliver the data that forms our important contribution to marine science and conservation.

Here at Youth4Youth, we have grown a strong, tight-knit community of individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the lives of young people across the UK. Our growing team of volunteers all contribute, significantly, to the impact that we have as a charity on our direct beneficiaries, regardless of the department that they work in of the level of time that they are able to commit. Our services primarily offer a peer-support network to young people right across the UK, allowing them to access a peer mentor who is of a similar age to them and somebody that they feel more comfortable speaking with.

About the role

Our Peer Mentors are at the forefront of our Youth Services delivery, tackling head on the issues that young people are facing everyday. As a Peer Mentor, you will engage with young people who reach out to Youth4Youth for support, taking time to coach and guide them through the difficulties that they are facing. This exciting opportunity, targeted at individuals who are between the ages of 16 and 25, provides young people with the space to directly impact and transform the lives of young people, significantly improving their overall wellbeing.

Ideal candidates are those who are able to commit to regular volunteering activity of at least 2 hours per week (on average) and who are able to comfortably communicate via written e-mail and other remote chat functionalities.

Your core responsibilities as a Peer Mentor at Youth4Youth include:

• Building strong, professional relationships with young people seeking mentoring support.
• Demonstrating commitment to the charity by regular volunteer engagement to maintain ongoing communication with young people (which includes responding to young people within an agreed and reasonable time frame).
• Providing light support, advice and guidance to young people in relation to the troubles that they are facing, in line with the resources provided to you by the charity.
• Maintaining professional boundaries with young people and not seeking to offer support beyond your capability that may put a young person at risk.
• Maintaining regular contact with your Youth4Youth supervisor, with the expectation that you will meet at least once per month for a supervision session that involves reflective practice and a focus on your development as a mentor.

SUNSHINE is a new, grassroots charity dedicated to tackling the severe loneliness crisis in London and beyond by creating accessible, consistent opportunities for human connection. We are launching three core projects - Monthly Coffee Mornings, Digital Inclusion and Skills, and Wellbeing Wednesdays and we need dedicated Community Connectors to make sure the most isolated people know about and feel safe attending them.

This pivotal, person-led role is the heart of our mission. You will be the friendly, consistent link that helps individuals overcome the initial barriers of anxiety and inertia to re-engage with their community and find their place in SUNSHINE's programmes.

In this Compassionate Voluntary Role, You Will:

• Provide a Warm Link: Serve as a consistent, friendly contact for isolated individuals identified through local referrals (e.g., from GPs, libraries, or other agencies).

• Offer Support and Encouragement: Build trust and offer non-judgmental support to help individuals identify their own goals and interests (a strengths-based approach).

• Facilitate Connection: Gently introduce and signpost individuals to either a SUNSHINE programme (Coffee Morning, Digital Inclusion and Skills, Wellbeing Wednesdays) or to another suitable, trusted group or resource within the local community.

• Maintain Consistency: Follow up with individuals briefly (via phone or simple check-in) after they attend a programme for the first time, ensuring they felt welcomed and encouraging them to return.

• Adhere to Safety: Work strictly within SUNSHINE’s safeguarding and data protection guidelines, reporting all concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator or Designated Safeguarding Lead.

What We’re Looking For

• Exceptional Listening Skills: The ability to be empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental.

• Local Knowledge: A strong familiarity with your London Borough/Area and its community groups, public spaces, and resources.

• Reliability & Consistency: This is vital. You must be able to commit to scheduled check-ins and follow-ups.

• Positive Attitude: An ability to approach this role with the 'Joy & Light' that defines the SUNSHINE mission.

(Prior experience in befriending, social prescribing, or supporting vulnerable adults is a bonus, but comprehensive training will be provided.)

The Role: Start-Up Team Member

We are seeking individuals who can take ownership of a key operational area:

• Finance & Treasury: Setting up a basic Chart of Accounts, advising on Gift Aid registration, and establishing simple financial tracking/reporting processes.
• Fundraising Strategy: Identifying and researching initial seed grant opportunities (£5k-£10k), drafting core narrative text for grant applications, and creating a donor pipeline plan.
• Digital/Design: Creating the official SUNSHINE graphics, designing basic templates for our training materials, and setting up a simple, secure one-page website/sign-up portal.

What We’re Looking For (Essential)

• Professional Expertise: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in one of the four areas listed above (Finance, Legal, Fundraising, or Digital/Design).

• A "Roll-Up-Your-Sleeves" Attitude: This is a hands-on start-up phase. You must be happy to work independently, find solutions, and deliver tangible output.

• Commitment to the Cause: A passion for combating loneliness and alignment with SUNSHINE's Core Values (Warmth, Accessibility, Community Power).

• Reliability: The ability to commit to delivering your agreed-upon tasks within a flexible, agreed-upon timeframe (e.g., within 3-6 months).
