At present we are working towards being fully operational, over the next year Living Reasons will be looking to expand its reach.

As a Volunteer Technology Coordinator with Living Reasons, you will help shape the charity’s digital future by integrating and developing innovative technology into our operations. This role focuses on creating effective, accessible, and inclusive solutions that enhance user experiences through both hardware and software. Depending on skills and interests, this may involve app or systems development, digital project management, and supporting reasonable adjustments to improve accessibility. Guided by user feedback and needs-based planning, you will play a vital part in ensuring our services are adaptable, engaging, and supportive for all who connect with Living Reasons

The person who is starting the charity up is autistic, has ADHD, CPTSD and also multiple physical conditions that effect daily life and is part of the LGBTQ+ community and has faced a lot of issues in life because of these things.

Living Reasons is being created to fix what we think is a challenging situation that is getting harder to achieve every week, month and year in the current economic, political, environmental and societal landscape. It is not easily defined but we hope the charity objects below will help put context to what we want to achieve, what we can say is that below are the issues we are trying to address, how we do this will change as quickly as society does, but the issues we want to tackle are these:

3) Limited employment, training and education opportunities

4) Lack of support during times of crisis or need

SEED Madagascar is seeking a Pro Bono PR & Media Consultant to expand the organisation’s international visibility and amplify awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing communities in Madagascar. This role will focus on securing high-profile media coverage, cultivating relationships with journalists, and identifying opportunities for SEED’s voice to be featured internationally. We are looking for an experienced PR professional with existing contacts and proven expertise in media outreach who is motivated to use their skills to contribute to sustainable development and conservation. About the organisation SEED Madagascar is a British Charity working in partnership with communities in the southeast of Madagascar. We integrate high quality community health, sustainable livelihoods, education infrastructure and conservation programmes to support long term, sustainable change and add to international best practice through research and publication across all of our programmatic areas.

Location: Remote

Timeframe: Long-term, part-time, flexible (approx. 1–2 days per week)

Duties and responsibilities

● Identify and secure opportunities for SEED’s work and stories to be featured in international news outlets, podcasts, and other platforms.

● Leverage existing media contacts and networks to build SEED’s global visibility.

● Draft, edit, and pitch press releases, op-eds, and feature stories that communicate SEED’s mission and impact.

● Provide strategic advice to SEED’s Media & Communications team on positioning and PR best practices.

● Arrange interviews, guest articles, and media appearances for SEED staff and leadership.

● Monitor and report on media coverage, highlighting reach and impact.

● Support capacity building within SEED’s communications team, sharing knowledge and contacts where relevant.

Person specification

Essential

● Significant professional experience in PR, journalism, or media outreach.

● Strong existing network of international media contacts, with proven success in placing stories.

● Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch compelling narratives.

● Strategic mindset with the ability to advise and mentor less experienced team members.

● Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently in a remote context.

● Commitment to SEED’s ethos, values, and mission, with cultural sensitivity and respect.

Desirable

● Experience working with NGOs, particularly in development, conservation, or humanitarian fields.

SUNSHINE is a new grassroots charity tackling loneliness in London. We’re building spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued—through coffee mornings, digital inclusion, fitness, and befriending programmes. But before anyone walks through our doors, they’ll meet us through a poster, a flyer, a social post.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to volunteer some time to help us craft the visual language of SUNSHINE: one that speaks of warmth, dignity, and human connection.

Design is how people feel us before they meet us. As our Graphic Designer, you’ll shape the imagery, colours, and layouts that invite people in—from volunteers and donors to those we serve. You’ll help us build a brand that feels like a hug, a spark, a welcome.

• Design flyers, posters, social media graphics, and digital assets for campaigns and programmes.

BE THE SUNSHINE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES.

The Creative Arts and Skills Programme (CASP) is a wide-ranging range of classes and groups focused on providing development opportunities for our clients as well as supporting their improved integration into the community. It is a creative outlet, a community, and an opportunity for clients to learn new skills.

The textiles group runs weekly and provides an opportunity for our clients to learn useful new skills and meet new people. We are looking to recruit two new volunteers for this group, who will work together with the existing group volunteer to teach dressmaking skills to our clients and support them to work on various textiles projects.

Main tasks and activities

· Working together with our current Textiles group volunteer to teach sewing, pattern cutting, dressmaking and upcycling skills to clients;

· Supporting clients to develop and carry out their own textiles projects;

· Coordinating the clients and taking the register on a weekly basis;

· Setting up and packing away the sewing machines, fabrics and other equipment before and after the session;

· Raising any issues which the clients face with the Community and Integration Manager

Skills and experience needed

· Understanding of, and commitment to, the objectives of the Helen Bamber Foundation;

· A demonstrable empathy for our vulnerable clients, including asylum seekers, refugees and survivors of torture and trafficking;

· Dressmaking skills essential;

· Experience of teaching or instructing people in dressmaking skills (desirable);

· Awareness of confidentiality and the importance of it in regards to our clients;

· Punctual, reliable and self-motivated with a positive, ’can-do’ attitude;

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to create a warm and welcoming community environment;

· Demonstrable experience of working within a team.

What you will get out of the role

· A strong understanding of how HBF’s integration programmes contribute to the well-being of our clients;

· An appreciation of the processes and systems that asylum seekers and refugees deal with in the UK;

· Increased experience and confidence in teaching dressmaking and textiles skills;

About the role.

This is a rare and meaningful opportunity to shape the growth of a purpose-led business while contributing to the leadership of a national charity. We are looking for someone to Chair the Clear Voice Board and serve as a Trustee of Migrant Help.

As Chair of Clear Voice, you will provide strategic leadership during an ambitious phase of growth and service diversification. A key priority will be helping Clear Voice strengthen its competitive position in the interpretation sector, diversifying its client base and reducing reliance on Migrant Help as a customer. You’ll support the CEO and Board to set long-term goals, act as a constructive sounding board, and uphold strong governance. You will need to balance commercial sustainability with the governance responsibilities of a charity-owned enterprise, ensuring that growth enhances both impact and accountability.

Equally, as a Trustee of Migrant Help, you will contribute to the broader leadership of the charity, ensuring both organisations thrive in mutual alignment. This dual role involves working across charity and enterprise contexts, offering guidance on opportunity, risk, innovation, and long-term impact.

What we are looking for.

We’re looking for a thoughtful and commercially astute leader who can bring strategic insight, inclusive leadership, and strong business skills to a growing, values-led enterprise. You’ll be confident in helping shape future growth while ensuring that decisions are rooted in purpose, financial accountability, and impact. You will also act as a supportive but constructively challenging Chair, able to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders and provide a trusted sounding board for the CEO. Experience of social enterprise leadership or growth would be hugely valuable, alongside expertise in business development, marketing, or digital innovation in technology-enabled environments. Experience in a non-executive or trustee role is helpful but not essential.

What matters most is your ability to balance commercial focus with charity governance, and your motivation to contribute to Migrant Help’s mission. We want someone who believes passionately that people seeking asylum are human beings who deserve to be treated decently and have their rights respected. We would especially welcome interest from people with lived or family experience of migration or displacement, and from female leaders who are underrepresented in our governance structures.

Time commitment

Approximately 14–16 days per year, including:

• Quarterly Clear Voice and Migrant Help Board meetings (virtual or in London)
• Chairing Clear Voice’s Finance & Risk Group (every 6 weeks)
• Attending Migrant Help’s People & Remuneration Committee (2–3 times per year)
