ATSF is looking to recruit two new members to its board of trustees - one with educational experience and the second a more general trustee- to help shape its future and support education in Greater London.
Organisation background
The Foundation is an unincorporated registered charity that is currently going through a period of transition. It has existed in different forms for more than three centuries. The Foundation was established to teach practical and academic skills to equip “poor boys for trades or university”. Until recently it fulfilled its educational charitable objective by providing land, buildings and grants to a school in Oval. Following the closure and sale of that school in 2023, the Trustees are entering an exciting new phase in the Foundation’s story. They are reviewing how to deliver the best educational outcomes for young people in the area of benefit, Greater London, and are looking to work with local schools, partners and stakeholders to achieve this.
Required skills and experience
Educational Trustee – an applicant should have an understanding of local educational needs -either in the area of benefit or within specific areas of Greater London. They should have experience of working with stakeholders involved in education and a willingness to liaise with those stakeholders, potential grantee schools and other partners. The Trustees want to provide support where it will be most effective and a background in educational funding would be an advantage as would a willingness to develop a collaborative relationship with new grantee schools.
General Trustee
A successful applicant will play an important role in overseeing our activities and in ensuring we continue to pursue our objectives effectively and responsibly. Ideally an applicant should have experience with grant making or other charitable organisations and with helping formulate important strategic decisions to provide long term educational benefit.
For both roles we welcome interest from individuals with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Role requirements
Trustees are appointed for an initial term of four years. They are expected to attend trustee meetings which are currently held every two to three months, sometimes online and sometimes in person in London - most commonly online at 4pm.
Trustees are also expected to contribute to the occasional email request or discussion.
The role is unpaid and voluntary.
To apply
Please email your CV and a short covering letter explaining why you would be interested in being a trustee of ATSF to by Friday 21st November.
If you would like further information about ATSF or the roles advertised, please use the same contact details.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Help Us Build a Brand That Speaks to the Streets
Urban Youth is a bold new grassroots charity lighting up London’s inner-city neighbourhoods. We’re here for the 11–19-year-olds growing up in high-pressure environments—where creativity, resilience, and raw potential collide. Our mission? To smash barriers, reduce crime, and create spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
We’re launching powerful programmes that spark growth, build confidence, and honour identity. Now, we need a logo that hits different—something that feels like London, sounds like youth, and looks like change.
The Role: Volunteer Graphic Designer
We’re looking for a visionary designer to craft a logo that pulses with urban energy and speaks directly to young Londoners. This is your chance to shape the face of a movement—one that’s rooted in community, culture, and creativity.
You’ll be:
-
Designing a logo that’s fresh, gritty, and emotionally resonant for youth in London’s inner boroughs.
-
Channeling the spirit of streetwear, grime, drill, spoken word, and skate culture.
-
Collaborating with our founding team to reflect our values: dignity, defiance, and grassroots power.
-
Creating a visual identity that young people want to wear, tag, and rep with pride.
What We’re Looking For
-
A designer with a sharp eye for urban aesthetics and visual hierarchy.
-
Experience (or deep passion) for youth-led design, street culture, or community branding.
-
Someone who thrives independently but values feedback and collaboration.
-
A portfolio that shows boldness, clarity, and emotional punch.
Why Join Urban Youth?
-
Be part of something raw, real, and revolutionary—from day one.
-
Use your skills to uplift young voices and shape a brand that matters.
-
Gain hands-on experience in grassroots charity branding and youth engagement.
-
Join a team that’s passionate, unapologetic, and ready to make noise.
Ready to Apply?
If you’re fired up to help build a brand that speaks to the streets and uplifts young Londoners, we want to hear from you. Send us your portfolio, a short cover letter, and any initial ideas or inspirations you’d love to explore.
Let’s build something unforgettable—together.
