Role Summary
As the Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping create and implementing strategies to fundraise from both existing and new sources (individuals, mosques, grants etc.) with the aim of securing the long-term financial stability of Roots Academy.
Key tasks
Fundraising Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve income goals.
- Identify potential new funding sources and opportunities for income generation.
Campaign Management:
- Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns and events, including direct appeals, online campaigns, and fundraising events at mosques.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling fundraising material.
Proposal Development:
- Research trusts, foundations and corporations for grant opportunities.
- Work with the team to develop proposals, supporting with grant writing when needed.
Budget Oversight:
- Work closely with the finance team to monitor fundraising budgets, expenditure, and financial projections.
Donor Relations:
- Support with Donor Communications in activities related to donor relationship management and stewardship.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in organising fundraising campaigns and events, including digital fundraising strategies
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organisation’s mission and impact to diverse audiences
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective fundraising plans
- Strong understanding of Islam and the Muslim Community

Youth Advantage UK is a growing organisation working to improve outcomes for young people across England and Wales. Our England & Wales Local Operations Department leads local policy and research projects across counties, regions, cities and towns — identifying local challenges and developing evidence‑based recommendations that support young people to thrive.

About the Role
We are seeking a Deputy Head of Department to support the leadership and smooth running of the England & Wales Local Operations team. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will provide additional leadership capacity, help coordinate multiple local research projects, and step in to lead the department when required.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong research or policy background who enjoys working in evolving environments and wants to use their skills to make a positive impact for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Operations with day‑to‑day departmental coordination.
- Provide leadership cover when needed, including taking on delegated workstreams.
- Lead or oversee local policy and research projects across England and Wales.
- Ensure research is rigorous, ethical and relevant to local contexts.
- Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Help develop emerging systems, processes and ways of working.
- Build positive relationships with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners.
About You
You will have:
- Experience in research, evaluation or policy analysis.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Confidence working in ambiguity and helping build structure where needed.
- Experience volunteering and/or managing volunteers in a charity or community setting.
- A collaborative, supportive approach to leadership.

Warm Hearts Community Support is seeking passionate and committed volunteers to support our 2026 community programmes focused on food outreach, mental wellbeing, and digital upskilling.
This is an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organisation supporting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, emotional challenges, and barriers to employment.
About The Role
As a volunteer, you will contribute directly to delivering structured community support initiatives designed to restore dignity, build confidence, and create pathways toward independence.
You will work alongside a dedicated team to support individuals at different stages of their journey — from immediate support to long-term empowerment.
Key Programme Areas You Will Support
1. Community Food Support & Outreach
- Supporting food distribution events
- Engaging with community members in a respectful and supportive manner
- Assisting with logistics, coordination, and setup of outreach activities
2. Mental Wellbeing & Community Support Sessions
- Supporting safe and welcoming environments for wellbeing sessions
- Assisting with coordination of group discussions and activities
- Signposting individuals to relevant support services where needed
3. IT Upskilling & Back-to-Work Support
- Assisting participants with basic digital skills (email, job applications, CVs)
- Supporting training sessions and one-to-one guidance
- Encouraging confidence and engagement during learning sessions
