As an Advocacy Volunteer at Big Brother Watch, you'll be volunteering with Advocacy Team to to help us analyse a range of current legislation impacting privacy and civil liberties; and supporting advocacy strategies to achieve change and protect rights and liberties in the UK. This role is ideal for people looking to grow skills in policy or legal analysis, campaigns or communications.

Prior experience is not essential but motivation and a high level of interest in our issues are vital! You'll be given guidance and supervision to help grow your skills in these areas. 

We are looking for volunteers with: 

• A demonstrable passion for civil liberties and either research, campaigning or policy/law
• Interest in the intersection of technology and human rights
• Courage to hold the powerful to account
• An ability to volunteer for 1 day (Mon-Fri) per week for a minimum of six months

What we can offer:

• We will reimburse your travel costs within London (zones 1-6) and a daily lunch allowance of up to £7
• Experience working as part of a dedicated, dynamic, positive team of campaigners on critical civil liberties issues

We’re a fiercely independent, diverse, non-partisan and non-profit group of campaigners and researchers who work to roll back the surveillance state and protect rights in parliament, the media or the courts if we have to. About the Role 

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. We aim to increase inclusion and representation for the disabled community across society. We have several different services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails and more. 

As we continue to grow, we are on a mission to make finding and accessing information around everything to do with disability easier. Hence, we're putting together a brand-new team of volunteers who are passionate about content and using the power of social media for good

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Administrative Assistant to support our Advocacy Service. This role plays a vital part in ensuring people with mental health needs receive timely, confidential, and effective advocacy support. By assisting with referrals, communication, and day‑to‑day administrative tasks, you will help our advocates focus on supporting individuals while gaining valuable experience in a mental health service.

Purpose of the Role
To support the Advocacy Service with essential administrative tasks, ensuring referrals are 
processed efficiently and communication channels are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities
• Process and log referrals received via the service inbox
• Monitor incoming calls and manage voicemail messages
• Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Support advocates with general administrative duties
• Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive information

We are looking for passionate Animal Advocates to join our Events Team and help raise vital funds for animals in need in their local community. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys connecting with people in their community, and wants to make a meaningful difference.

Animal Advocates organise and host small fundraising stalls within their local area, helping to raise awareness and funds to support animals who need our help.

Key Responsibilities

As an Animal Advocate, you will:

• Identify opportunities to hold a fundraising stall in your community at least once a month (for example at markets, fairs, community events or outside local businesses).
• Research and approach local businesses who may wish to donate items that can be sold to raise funds to support our work.
• Encourage people in your community to donate good-quality second-hand items that can be sold on the stall.
• Set up and run fundraising stalls to engage with the public and promote the charity’s work.
• Help raise awareness about the animals we support and the difference donations make.
• Be a vital part of our Events Team.
