Creating lasting social change means helping people understand the small, practical changes they can make so everyday experiences are more accessible for blind and partially sighted people.
At RNIB, we have a team dedicated to this work, and we are looking for sighted volunteers to join us. You will work alongside our team and a panel of blind and partially sighted community members, bringing your own perspective on how messages may land with the wider public.
We are keen to recruit a diverse group of sighted volunteers who reflect the audiences we are trying to reach. Together with blind and partially sighted panel members, you will help make sure our campaigns and resources feel relevant, practical and engaging for the wider public.
In this role, you will help to:
• Share ideas on the best ways to encourage positive behaviour change.
• Help ensure our messaging connects with and inspires the public.
• Co-design and co-produce materials alongside blind and partially sighted community members.
• Review communications and suggest ways to make them clearer, more engaging and more likely to encourage positive behaviour change.
• Help shape behaviour change resources, such as campaign materials, messages or practical guidance.
You don't need any previous experience or knowledge of sight loss to take on this role. We welcome people from all backgrounds who are interested in helping create positive social change.
We want this opportunity to be accessible. Please tell us if you need information in a different format or any support to take part.
