Trekking a marathon or half-marathon is no mean feat so we need volunteers just like you, to help give our trekkers as much support as possible on the day. This could be a cup of tea at one of our rest stops, a friendly word of encouragement on the route, or a triumphant cheer across the finish line.

As part of our volunteer crew, you’ll help give trekkers the encouragement and all important boost they need to keep going strong. We can guarantee that it means the world to our trekkers.

No experience needed, just bring your energy and enthusiasm! There is something for everyone, with roles based in the event hub, rest stops and along the route.

Vauxhall City Farm is one of the oldest and most centrally located city farms in London, but we offer far more than a traditional farm experience. We are a sanctuary in the heart of the city - providing life-changing opportunities for individuals and communities across some of London’s most disadvantaged boroughs, while also offering a safe, welcoming and inclusive green space for all.

Each year, we welcome around 60,000 visitors, including 7,000 children and young people from local schools and colleges who participate in workshops and educational activities, alongside over 50,000 members of the wider community who engage with our mobile farm, volunteering, training, development programmes and outreach initiatives.

We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our Board of Trustees, helping to shape the future direction, governance and long-term sustainability of the charity.

As a Trustee, you will work collaboratively with fellow Board members and the leadership team, providing strategic guidance, constructive challenge and support across key areas of the organisation’s work.

We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring skills and experience in the following areas: fundraising, marketing and communications, safeguarding, volunteering, community engagement, and health and safety.

Joining our Board offers diverse and challenging opportunities for those passionate about shaping the charity’s future. As a Trustee, you’ll have the chance to contribute your ideas and influence at Board meetings and stakeholder events.

You do not need to have previous Trustee experience to apply.

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. We aim to increase inclusion and representation for the disability community across society. We have several different services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails and more. 

As we continue to grow, we are on a mission to make finding and accessing information around everything to do with disability easier. Hence, we're putting together a brand-new team of volunteers who are passionate about content and using the power of social media for good

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safeguarding Oversight: Provide strategic oversight of safeguarding and child protection across the organisation and report to the Board.
• Policy & Compliance: Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are up to date, effectively implemented, and meet all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Advice & Support: Act as a point of guidance for the Board and staff on safeguarding matters, including responding appropriately to concerns.

Our shops help raise lots of money for us. It’s always lovely chatting to our customers about the fabulous items we sell and telling them about the fantastic work that we do. As a volunteer you will get the chance to meet new people and make friends, plus be part of an amazing team of volunteers. There’s so much for you to get stuck into when volunteering in our shops. We get lots of donations so you will be rolling up your sleeves in the back room where you will be receiving, sorting, steaming and pricing donations, it's always exciting when one of our volunteers spots a real gem. On the shop floor, as well as welcoming and serving our customers with a smile, you will be using the till (don't worry, we will show you how) and handling money. When people come in to donate items you will also be completing the Gift Aid forms that let their donations help us even more. It’s really important that our window and shop displays look appealing so people keep visiting our shops, so you'll be wielding a duster and vacuum as well as your imagination to make the shop look its best. It would be ideal if you could volunteer one shift a week, which is about four hours but we're also happy to have more flexible times. Become a YHA Trustee

Help shape the future of a charity that opens doors to adventure for young people.

YHA (England & Wales) is recruiting new Trustees to guide us through an exciting and challenging period of transformation. We’re looking for people who believe in our mission, can bring fresh perspective, and want to help increase access to the outdoors, nature and heritage.

Whether you’re an experienced leader or taking your first steps into governance, we’d love you to take a look at the opportunity.

As a Trustee, you’ll prepare for and take part in Board meetings, asking important questions to help make key decisions. You’ll share legal responsibility for the charity.

We’d love you to be part of our Information & Advice Service. As an Information Volunteer Assistant, you could be :

• Welcoming and providing information to visitors

• Ordering leaflets from various sources

• Updating external contacts

• Undertaking general administration

• possibly dealing with straightforward signposting and information.

You’ll enjoy working within a team of volunteers and meeting new people, have great communication skills, are polite and emphatic, understand basic IT systems and updating manual records, and are able or willing to learn to use the internet and Microsoft Office 365.

We are currently looking for someone to volunteer for 3 hours, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays either am or pm.

We will reimburse your out-of-pocket volunteer expenses.

Our shops are a hive of activity and the heart of the local community. They raise funds to support our vital work and provide a place for local people to find out more about how we help older people in their area. Our volunteers always enjoy being part of our shop teams; chatting to our customers about the fabulous items we sell and telling them about the fantastic work that we do.

As a Customer Service Volunteer you will get the chance to meet new people and make friends, plus play a vital role in helping to raise funds to support local older people.

You will be working on the shop floor as the welcoming face of our charity. Serving customers with a smile, using the till (don't worry, we will show you how) and handling money and sales.

When people come in to donate items you will be thanking them for their support and helping them to complete Gift Aid signups on our Gift Aid system.

You will help to make our shops look amazing; putting out items that the sorting teams have prepared, helping with merchandising, labelling and ensuring the shop is clean and always looking its' best.

You will need to be ok using a touch screen device as our tills run on a tablet, though we will always provide full training and some time for you to get used to using this first.

Lastly, you may have people enquiring about our work, or asking for help and we will provide you with all the details of where to refer them to within the charity.

Looking for a hands‑on volunteer role where you can make a real difference? Join us as a Volunteer Distribution Centre Yard Organiser and help keep our busy yard running safely and efficiently.

You’ll support recycling efforts, keep walkways and storage areas organised, ensure stock is clearly labelled, and work closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain a tidy, well‑run space. No experience is needed — we provide full training, equipment, and ongoing support. All you need is enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

If you’re interested in recycling, warehouse operations, or developing new practical skills while supporting a great cause, this role could be a perfect fit.

We are looking for someone who could ideally volunteer during the week between Monday-Friday if possible, but would be grateful for whatever time you can spare.
