SUNSHINE is a brand new loneliness and wellbeing charity with a simple but powerful mission: to bring people together, spread joy, nurture community spirit, and create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected.

With our charity application submitted, our dedicated Board of Trustees in place, and a series of exciting pilot programmes ready to launch, we are stepping into a defining moment — and we’re looking for someone extraordinary to step in with us.

Could you be our first ever IT & Digital Systems Manager?

This is a rare and meaningful opportunity to help shape a charity from the ground up by building the digital backbone that will support our volunteers, our programmes, and our long-term growth.

We’re searching for a volunteer who brings:

  • Experience in IT, digital systems, or technical support.

  • A love of problem‑solving and creating smooth, reliable systems.

  • Confidence in setting up cloud-based platforms (CRM, case management, fundraising tools, etc.).

  • An organised, security‑minded approach to managing equipment and data.

  • A collaborative spirit and a desire to empower others through technology.

As our inaugural IT & Digital Systems Manager, you will ensure SUNSHINE has the digital tools, systems, and support needed to run safely, smoothly, and joyfully. You will help volunteers feel confident using their equipment, troubleshoot issues, and lead a small team dedicated to keeping everything running with care and reliability.

What you’ll help us build

  • Secure, SUNSHINE‑ready IT equipment for our volunteer team.

  • Cloud-based systems that support our programmes and operations.

  • A CRM, case management system, and fundraising platforms that are easy to use and well maintained.

  • Clear digital onboarding and induction pathways for volunteers.

  • A small, supportive IT help team to troubleshoot issues and answer queries.

  • A digital infrastructure that grows with us as we expand across London and beyond.

This is more than a role — it’s a chance to help write the opening chapter of a charity designed to brighten lives, strengthen communities, and operate with excellence behind the scenes.
