Community and Fundraising Volunteers play a vital role in raising funds and awareness to support mums experiencing perinatal mental health challenges. This is a friendly, hands-on role where you’ll help plan, prepare, and deliver fundraising and community engagement activities. From supporting events and running stalls to chatting with supporters and sharing information about MumsAid’s services, you’ll be an important part of a welcoming and supportive team.
No previous experience is required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine desire to support mums and their families.
What will you be doing?
Supporting the planning and delivery of fundraising and community events, such as charity stalls, coffee mornings, sponsored activities, and awareness days.
Helping to create a lively, positive, and welcoming atmosphere at MumsAid events.
Engaging with members of the public, supporters, and participants, celebrating their involvement and encouraging donations.
Talking to people about MumsAid’s work and signposting to support where appropriate.
Assisting with event set-up and pack-down to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Handling cash and card donations responsibly, in line with MumsAid procedures.
Helping to raise awareness of perinatal mental health and the importance of early support.
Being part of a team that helps make MumsAid events inspiring, inclusive, and memorable.
Following MumsAid’s policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding, to ensure events run smoothly.

Role Purpose
The Head of Department (Production) sits between Directors and Managers, turning high-level media objectives (such as podcasts, documentaries, or training videos) into clear, deliverable department plans. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Turning Director objectives into practical production schedules, covering both pre-production (storyboarding, scripting, logistics) and post-production (editing, sound design, colour grading).

Requirements
Proven experience in media production management (Pre and Post Production).
A portfolio of video, audio, or multimedia projects / CV.
Familiarity with production software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or DaVinci Resolve).
Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of tasks across different media formats.
Focused, organised, and able to prioritise and execute production workflows independently.
To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments.
Strong team player with a focus on collaborative storytelling.
A keen eye for technical detail and aesthetic consistency.
Excellent communication skills.
Degree in Media Production, Film, or a related field is a plus.

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We are looking for a Volunteer Admin Coordinator to be that backbone — someone who takes ownership of the detail, keeps our systems running, and makes sure the rest of the team can focus on delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the CEO in the day‑to‑day running and strategic development of the charity
Oversee operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely and with heart
Help build our internal structures, systems and processes from scratch
Support the Heads of Departments (Volunteering, Services, Marketing, etc.) to deliver their work effectively
Ensure good governance, compliance and best practice as we grow
Champion a positive, caring, sunshine‑filled organisational culture
Be a key decision‑maker, helping guide the charity through its early growth
Bring stability, clarity and leadership to a fast‑moving, hopeful start‑up environment

STAMMA is the leading charity for people who stammer in the UK. We’re a small, award-winning organisation with big ambitions and a brilliant community, keen to create space and respect for people who stammer.
Stammering has historically been the target for humour and used to suggest inadequacy, leaving many who stammer facing daily ignorance, discrimination and disrespect. This can affect job prospects and mental health, and cause depression and social isolation. It can make booking a GP appointment a nightmare, and prevent people from accessing a service altogether, leaving them feeling humiliated, degraded or disbelieved. We’re here to change that.
We’ve a clear strategy for the next five years to achieve real and practical change for people who stammer by highlighting the inadvertent barriers they face within the workplace and as service users. We want to reach more people who stammer and grow our supporter base, but to do that we need to expand our training and advocacy services, whilst underpinning our helpline and family support.
We want to appoint a new Trustee with significant skills and experience within the charity sector to the Board. You’ll need to share our excitement and ambition for change. It isn’t essential that you stammer. This is an unpaid position, but travel expenses can be covered. Trustee terms are for four years, and you will be expected to attend all Board meetings, up to five times a year, usually on a Saturday, either in-person at different locations across England, or online. There are also sub-committees and informal planning and preparatory discussions, usually held online.

MINDSET is building a new kind of men’s mental wellbeing and personal growth movement in the UK — one that speaks the language men actually respond to: doing, belonging, challenge, and shared purpose. We’re not clinical. We’re not corporate. We’re not another “sit in a circle and talk about your feelings” model. We create experiences that help men grow, connect, and rebuild confidence from the inside out.
