The Federation of Disability Sport Wales (known as Disability Sport Wales)is a dynamic, passionate and proactive organisation who are committed to ensuring that physical activity (including sport) is seen as a genuine choice for everyone in Wales. Our purpose is to ensure that disabled people are as likely to have a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity (including sport) as non-disabled people.

Our board is made up of volunteers who give their time, knowledge and diverse experience to drive Disability Sport Wales towards the successful attainment of our ambitions within the context of our values, and under Charities and Company Law.

It is essential to DSW that we have diversity of perspective to govern as effectively as possible, and to ensure that we continue to be a forward-thinking, sector leading organisation for the future.

We are looking for TWO new trustees who preferably have skills and experience in the following areas:

• Health and Safety
• AI
• Fundraising or grant applications

We would be keen to hear from anyone who is comfortable asking questions which will help us grow, has experience within the above areas, brings diverse insight and understanding to discussions.

Previous board experience is helpful, but not essential.

We will provide training and support to new Trustees to help understanding of the role.

• To support with administration, texting and emailing information to service users, volunteers, and staff
• Support with updating and inputting data into spreadsheets
• Support with making phone calls to follow up and gather needed information.

We are looking for a warm and supportive Beauty & Pampering Volunteer to provide gentle wellbeing sessions for women accessing our services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others feel relaxed, cared for, and uplifted through simple beauty and self care activities such as nail painting.

What you will be doing

• Deliver nail painting sessions and encourage service users to get involved
• Create a calm, welcoming, and trauma informed environment where women feel safe and comfortable
• Encourage confidence, wellbeing, and relaxation through positive, empowering interactions
• Maintain appropriate hygiene standards and ensure all activities are safe
• Work with staff to coordinate sessions

As a Tigrinya Interpreter Volunteer, you will be supporting women who speak little to no English and helping them to communicate with others in society. This role is necessary for our service user to feel included as well as supported. This would be a great opportunity for you to meet someone new and make a difference in their time at Hestia!

What you will be doing

• To maintain strict confidentiality and good working relationships
• To be able to meet with client when required for appointments and other professional meetings when needed
• Speech translating along with translating written documents from English to Tigrinya

• Fluent in Tigrinya
• Be understanding and patient, as well as sensitive to service user’s emotions
• A good communicator who is able to create a relaxing and nurturing environment

Role Overview.

As our Director of Content, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping and overseeing our content strategy, ensuring that Bank.Green's messaging is impactful, cohesive, and aligned with our mission. Success in this role means managing a team of social media contributors, ensuring content quotas are met, and maintaining the quality and consistency of our published materials. You’ll oversee various content initiatives, from social media to newsletters and blogs, and provide guidance on ad hoc website content updates. Your work will help amplify our impact, inspire meaningful action from our community, and drive the movement for sustainable banking.

Commitment

This role is currently volunteer-based, and we are seeking a commitment of 5-10 hours per week. We are looking for somebody to join us long-term but are open to shorter-term applicants

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the social media team, ensuring monthly posting quotas are met and content aligns with our overarching strategy.
• Generate and refine content ideas in collaboration with the team to maintain engaging, impactful, and relevant messaging across platforms.
• Copyedit and approve the short monthly newsletter and occasional blog posts produced by the research team.
• Oversee and assist with miscellaneous content-related projects, including updates and improvements to website content.
• Monitor performance metrics across platforms to identify areas for improvement and inform future content strategies.

Desired Skills

• Proven experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or a similar role.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience managing teams or working collaboratively across multiple contributors.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
• Basic understanding of climate advocacy or finance (optional but beneficial).

We support young people who face significant barriers due to vision impairment combined with additional disabilities, helping each individual follow their own pathway towards independence and fulfilment.

We’re now looking for a Volunteer Trustee with strong experience in special education to help guide and strengthen our specialist FE College.

What the role involves

In addition to the standard responsibilities of a trustee, you will:

• Focus on the delivery and development of post-16 education for learners with vision impairment and complex needs

• Scrutinise the quality of teaching and learning

• Provide constructive challenge and professional insight as part of our Education Advisory Committee

Are you a qualified Yoga Instructor who would enjoy facilitating weekly sessions to help individuals with their general well-being. This is an opportunity for you to share techniques with others.

Practicing yoga has been shown to increase mindfulness not just in class session, but in other areas of a person's life.
