We provide a platform for survivors and whistleblowers to share their lived experiences, highlight systemic frustrations, and offer solutions rooted in culturally trauma-informed care.

Our membership offers young people and survivors a path to heal, learn digital skills, and interactively participate in our Alchemic 369 Book Club, where members engage in weekly discussions, debates, and critical analysis of African, Caribbean, and world history, Ifa, classics, and political thought. Job Purpose:

To support the procurement and supply chain activities required to develop and operate the IFA Retreat by coordinating purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory management, and procurement administration, ensuring resources are sourced efficiently, ethically, and cost-effectively.

About the role:

As a Volunteer Procurement & Supply Chain Officer, you will support the day-to-day procurement and supply chain operations that underpin the development and future operation of the IFA Retreat.

Working closely with senior leadership and other departments, you will help source products and services, maintain supplier records, coordinate purchasing activities, monitor inventory, and ensure procurement processes are followed consistently.

You will contribute to the procurement of construction materials, accommodation furnishings, restaurant supplies, retreat equipment, maintenance items, gift shop stock, and operational resources while helping maintain accurate procurement documentation and supplier information.

IAPWA is seeking an experienced HR Volunteer to provide strategic guidance and independent oversight of our people practices. This role is focused on supporting good governance rather than delivering day-to-day HR operations.

Working alongside the CEO and relevant staff, the volunteer will help ensure the charity's HR policies, procedures and practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation, reflect best practice, and support a positive and inclusive working environment.

This is an advisory role requiring a couple of hours per week, with flexibility around when those hours are completed. The volunteer will act as a trusted source of HR knowledge, helping the charity identify potential risks, strengthen governance, and continuously improve its people practices.

The Forum is looking for three new trustees to join our board as we launch a new strategy and look to develop our profile, attract new members and enhance our services. With a board of trustees who are experts in charity finance, we are endeavouring to broaden and the skill base and diverisify the trustee profile in perperation for eventual succession.

PEN International is looking for 1 or 2 volunteers to work closely with PEN International’s Congress and Events Officer and other members of staff to support the planning and delivery of the 92nd Annual PEN International Congress, which will take place online in September 2026.

The PEN Congress is a major event that brings together PEN Centres and members from around the world to shape the direction of PEN’s work, discuss key issues affecting writers and freedom of expression, strengthen international networks, exchange ideas, and celebrate literature in all its forms.

This volunteer role will focus on supporting the preparation and online delivery of Committee Meetings and the General Assembly. The successful candidate will assist with administrative, logistical, and technical tasks before and during the Congress period, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of meetings involving participants from across different countries, languages, and time zones.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association is seeking a small number of new trustees, based anywhere in the UK. The role is voluntary (reasonable expenses are covered) but is an opportunity to be part of an engaged, effective and friendly Board of an important national charity.

To be our new Honorary Treasurer, experience in strategic level finance is needed, but you might not have a finance qualification. Purpose of the Treasurer role

The Honorary Treasurer is a trustee of BSR and the Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee (FRC) and the Audit Committee. They are part of the Remuneration, People and Culture Committee. The Treasurer is also a Director on BSR’s trading subsidiary, BSR Enterprises Ltd. 

Members of the Board of Trustees make up the governing body of the society.Trustees are responsible for ensuring BSR remains true to its charitable purpose and objects set out in its governing documents and for meeting BSR’s legal and financial duties as a registered charity. BSR is also a registered company limited by guarantee and therefore all Trustees automatically become company directors registered at Companies House.All trustees share responsibility for monitoring BSR’s finances. 

Main responsibilities of the Treasurer

• To chair the Finance and Risk Committee, ensuring that BSR operates within the financial guidelines set by the Board, the Society’s governing documents, the Charity Commission and current legislation.

• To be part of the Remuneration, People and Culture Committee.

• To chair and document the annual Audit Committee following BSR’s annual financial audit 

• To support the Board of Trustees and SMT in meeting its strategic responsibility for BSR’s financial resources.

• To be actively involved in the financial security and on-going support of the development of the BSR’s financial aims and objectives.

• To present the financial accounts to the membership at the Annual General Meeting

• Support the FRC to carry out their duties to: 
  • ensure the charity keeps proper accounts

Time commitment

At present, the post requires approximately 2 days per quarter, split over a range of duties, including:

• Preparing for all Board and FRC meetings- reading meeting packs and sending any queries in advance (variable, but approximately 2-3 hours per quarter) 

• Meeting with the COO in advance of each committee meeting to ensure the meetings run smoothly and efficiently (60 minutes each quarter) 

• Attending the Board of Trustees meetings (four times a year- each meeting is 3 hours, either online or in person)

• Chairing the Finance and Risk Committee meetings (four times a year- each meeting is 2 hours, held online)

• Attending the Remuneration, People and Culture Committee meetings (twice a year- each meeting is 1 hour, held online)

• Chairing the Audit Committee (once a year- one hour, held online) 

• Attending BSR Enterprises Ltd meetings (two a year – each meeting is 30 minutes, held online) 

• Attending the Annual General Meeting (once a year, held online)

• Attend an annual Trustees and SMT away day (once a year, in person) 

Trustees may also be asked, from time to time, to:

• Attend events and other meetings on behalf of BSR

• Attend training relevant to their role

• Be available between board meetings for advice and to make decisions via email

• Be available for other ad hoc requirements

Induction, training and support  

• BSR has a finance team who carry all out all day-to-day finance functions and provide quarterly management accounts to the Finance and Risk Committee. The new Treasurer will have support from this team, and from the COO both during their induction period and throughout their term in office. Support is also provided by the CEO and the Chair of Trustees. 

• A comprehensive induction is provided for all new Trustees, including access to external financial training for members of FRC 

• We use a values behaviour framework to support all our volunteers to thrive in their role 

• Specialist financial advice and support is provided by external auditors, investment house fund managers and an investment specialist firm.

• The FRC completes an annual review of their performance as a committee, and undertakes further training as required 

• The opportunity to shadow Board meetings before taking up post

The Treasurer role term is for three years, with the possibility of extension for a further 3 years with approval from the Board.

Our small charity delivers awareness campaigns and a range of support services to patients, relatives, partners and carers who have been affected by a debilitating chronic condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). We are urgently looking for 2 experienced email marketing volunteers to join our communications team.

You will be a big link to our charity's clients who are vulnerable and isolated, to them learning more about events, our latest articles, fundraising events as well as ensuring they are aware of the services that we offer that be of help to them. You will also be helping us to raise awareness of this devastating chronic condition.

Even though we are a small organisation we have big ideas and having regular contact through emails and newsletters will show consistency and know they can rely on us to be there for them.

• Email content: Develop our communication & marketing content calendar, write compelling regular email content, including calls for donations & support, that is relevant and has clear a call-to-action and high click through rates;
• Email content (membership): Create a regular email newsletter for our membership scheme
• Create a number of automated email series - for donors, members, fundraisers and more
• Newsletter strategy: Help us plan and articulate how we can use emails and newsletters to strengthen our organisation, motivate our supporters and communicate with our sponsors;

About Circular Kitchens

Circular Kitchens is a social enterprise and membership platform designed to help restaurants, cafés, pubs, food stalls, and other catering businesses become fully circular: Plastic Free, Ecological, Local, and Zero Waste.

By working with the hospitality sector, we are helping regenerate local communities, strengthen regional food systems, and increase demand for ecological and regenerative agriculture in the UK. Our current focus is launching Circular Kitchens in Whitstable and supporting our first mover restaurants to achieve 3 Star Circular Kitchens certification. Based on learnings from this pilot, we are preparing to scale across the UK, growing our environmental and social impact.

Role Description

We are seeking a volunteer to support our marketing and communications efforts as Circular Kitchens continues to grow. This role offers the opportunity to contribute creatively across a range of activities with particular focus on social media, graphic design, and video production. 

Ideally, the volunteer will contribute to: 

• Creating and editing Instagram posts, with a focus on reels 

• Conducting video interviews with key stakeholders 

• Working in Canva to ensure communications materials (social media posts, newsletters, printed collatoral like flyers etc) all look fresh, professional, and consistent 

The role is intentionally flexible, and contributions can be shaped around the volunteer’s interests, skills, and availability. There are no set hours or fixed expectations, and the focus is on collaboration, learning, and creative contribution.

About You and the Role  

You don’t need to have experience of being on a Board. In fact, the role would be ideal for someone considering taking on their first role as a trustee. We will work with you to understand your duties as a trustee and support you.

You will, however, have experience of one of more of priority areas we are looking for:

• Personal experience of our programmes and/or the UK asylum system
• Press and PR
• Charity governance
• Public, philanthropy and/or high-net worth giving
• Sector experience and/or contacts relevant to the work of The Bike Project

You will be joining a highly committed group of trustees who give their time, expertise and contacts to support the charity. Our trustees are critical in enabling us to thrive and this role plays a key role in supporting the wider board to fulfil its financial responsibilities.

You will work together with the wider staff team to set our strategic direction and improve our work with refugees. At the heart of everything we do is the real and immediate impact a bike makes to the lives of those who have been through so much. You will be part of us achieving that.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Counselling Supervisor to provide online supervision for our trainee counsellors. Our service provides free and low cost counselling to those on low income and those who are marginalised.

Circular Kitchens is a social enterprise and membership platform designed to help restaurants, cafés, pubs, food stalls, and other catering businesses become fully circular: Plastic Free, Ecological, Local, and Zero Waste.

By working with the hospitality sector, we are helping regenerate local communities, strengthen regional food systems, and increase demand for ecological and regenerative agriculture in the UK. Our current focus is launching Circular Kitchens in Whitstable and supporting our first mover restaurants to achieve 3 Star Circular Kitchens certification. Role Description

Circular Kitchens is seeking a volunteer to support our early-stage software platform development, with a focus on how we manage restaurant resources, pledges, and audits using Coda. We are already working with a highly-skilled volunteer who has developed a strong plan of action and who will serve as a project manager and mentor. 

This role will include working with tools such as Coda, Softr, and Mailchimp to set up automations, clean up data, and brainstorm on future platform improvements. This work supports the early foundations of a scalable platform designed to support hundreds of Circular Kitchens members over time. It is a chance to work with fantastic people, quickly see the impact of your contribution, and be a part of truly building sometihng from the ground up!

We are seeking a volunteer with professional investment experience to join our Audit & Finance Committee, supporting the Board in its responsibility for financial oversight, governance and assurance. 

This role would suit someone who has worked as an investment consultant, investment manager, or in a similar advisory capacity, and who can bring independent expertise to strengthen the Committee’s oversight of our investment arrangements. 

Scripture Union holds investments of approximately £1.9 million (including a capital endowment of around £0.65 million) and a further c.£0.8 million held in cash or cash-equivalent deposits to support liquidity needs. These invested assets are managed externally by Rathbones through charity-specific pooled investment funds. Investment decisions are made in line with our ethical investment policy, which ensures that funds avoid sectors inconsistent with our Christian values. 

About the role 

As part of a broader remit covering financial reporting, internal controls, audit, risk management and compliance, the Committee also plays a key role in: 

• reviewing and approving our investment policies; and 

• monitoring the performance of the investment management, making recommendations to the Board where appropriate.

In this context, you will help the Committee: 

• monitor the performance of our funds managed by Rathbones; 

• provide constructive challenge on investment performance and reporting; 

• support the Committee in reviewing whether the current investment strategy and asset mix remains appropriate; and 

• contribute to providing assurance that there is a robust level of due diligence, oversight and governance in place. 

This is not a fund management role. Instead, it is a governance role focused on independent scrutiny, challenge and assurance, as part of the Committee’s wider responsibilities for financial performance, control and risk management.

Will you share your counselling or psychotherapy skills as a counsellor or therapist to join an online counselling service for patients and families affected by a chronic pain condition (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)?

We're looking for 3 qualified counsellors, psychotherapists or psychologists volunteers ideally with some experience of working with chronic pain patients or lived experience of chronic illness, who may want to volunteer their skills supporting our adult service users (aged 18 & over) and help us to continue developing a mental health support service. 

As a Volunteer Counsellor/Therapist you’ll be providing remote counselling/therapy support services to adults aged 18 and over many of whom are isolated and in need of mental health services. You’ll be providing one-to-one counselling/therapy sessions online via Zoom or by phone. With your recognised counselling qualifications and experience you will be an asset to our small charity and to our services users.  

Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, our volunteer counsellors / therapists provide person centred counselling (general talking counselling) or integrative counselling, or specialist services such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ACT, CFT and EMDR for CRPS patients, or their families & close relatives.

People will be referred both by health or legal professionals as well as having patients and carers themselves referring into to the service.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your counselling and therapy skills, organisation, communication and team working skills.

Most importantly you’ll be providing essential services that help make sure no one has to face CRPS alone. Be the hope for CRPS.

What the role involves

This role may vary depending on needs, but is likely to include:

• Undertake client assessments following triage by Clinical Lead, followed by counselling / therapy (via Zoom or phone) to our clients, offering up to 20 sessions for each client plus a check in and 4 psychometric assessments

• Providing one-to-one counselling sessions to clients aged 18 & over

• Update our database with the client’s information, sessional notes and session attendance

• Maintain succinct, relevant session notes and store these confidentially and securely in acccordahce with GDPR

• Attending and participating in monthly group supervision support of 1.5 hours a month

• Attend CPD training to ensure your knowledge stays current

• Participating in volunteer meetings
• Maintaining client confidentiality, upholding data protection and equal opportunities principles

We can support you to develop the skills you need for this role, including a full induction. You will have a chance to discuss your role and any additional needs with us. We can offer you a supervisor as well as expenses for annual insurance and an external supervisor if required.

What you need for this role

Essential

• Be a member (including student membership) of one of the recognised membership organisations (see below)
• Level 4 Diploma level qualifications as a minimum (unfortunately no students at this time), Degree or Masters in Counselling, Counselling/Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, Art Therapy, EMDR 
• Minimum of 100 hours supervised
• Proof of professional indemnity insurance annually - we may consider paying this as an expense but commitment to the charity is required
• A valid DBS certificate (enhanced version), which is less than three years old and renewed every three years (the charity can provide where necessary)
• Able to keep people’s personal data safe

• Willing and able to provide counselling via Zoom from a private location with a stable WiFi connection

• Able to support a minimum of 3 clients a week, being three hours of your time for therapy sessions plus time for administration and attending group supervision for 1.5 hours a month. We ideally hope you to offer the charity a minimum commitment of six months.

• Knowledge of chronic pain or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
