What Will You Do?

As Lead Grants and Foundations, you will:

• Fundraising strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive strategy for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding foundation, corporate, and government grant prospects.

• Grant writing and management: Oversee the entire grants lifecycle, from researching funding opportunities and writing compelling proposals to managing awards, ensuring compliance, and submitting reports.

• Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of grants professionals, such as grants managers and coordinators, to meet or exceed annual funding goals.

• Relationship management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foundation program officers and other institutional funders. Serve as the primary point of contact for major funders.

• Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with finance, programs, and leadership to develop grant budgets, gather data for proposals, and ensure funded projects are implemented successfully.

• Compliance and reporting: Ensure the organization adheres to all grant requirements, including financial and programmatic reporting, and prepares for audits.

• Financial oversight: Manage the grant budget and expenditure tracking, and provide financial reports to both funders and internal leadership

• Experience: A proven track record in grant writing, fundraising, or foundation relations, ideally within non-profit or social impact sectors; at least 3-5 years of experience.

• Skills: Exceptional writing, storytelling, and project management abilities. Attention to detail is a must!

As a Board Member, you will:

• Support the organisation's financial sustainability and long-term growth.
• Contribute your professional expertise to Board discussions and strategic planning.
• Act as an ambassador for Amour Destiné and champion our mission and values.
• Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and survivor-centred practice throughout the organisation.
• Build positive relationships with partners, funders and stakeholders where appropriate.
• Uphold the legal duties and responsibilities of a Company Director.

Expenses

This is a voluntary Board position.

The Plateful Café works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and ethnic minorities in Lewisham. Our commitment is to reach the most vulnerable people in our community and help them access the support they are entitled to. Refugees will benefit from workshops, training skills and knowledge relevant for catering industry.

 As a small charity, a modest sum of money raised can enable our projects to take place. As such, the role of volunteer fundraiser is essential.  We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, well-organised and highly motivated people to assist our Grants and Funding team  with the research and writing of funding applications to secure vitally needed funds for the charity.

The duties will include:

• Conduct research into trusts and foundations 
• Write funding applications
• Attend monthly team meeting
• Supporting the fundraising team in any other ways as required.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in fluent English
• Excellent research skills and ability to work with considerable initiative
• Good computer skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Some previous fundraising experience is desirable
• An interest in supporting refugees and contributing to the work of Plateful Cafe

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C is a pioneering Podcast/YouTube Channel and healing membership organisation. We provide a platform for survivors and whistleblowers to share their lived experiences, highlight systemic frustrations and offer solutions rooted in culturally trauma-informed care.

Our membership offers young people and survivors a path to heal, learn digital skills and interactively participate in our Alchemic 369 Book Club, where members engage in weekly interactive discussions, debates and critical analysis of African, Caribbean and world history, Ifa, classics and political thought. Members will sharpen their reading, reasoning and imagination skills, with opportunities to discuss works directly with authors, highly subsidised plant-based transformative retreats and join a community designed to empower and educate.

Job Purpose:

To identify, locate, and verify legitimate, available contact pathways for individuals identified by the Story Intelligence Team, enabling the Outreach Team to make timely, appropriate, and ethical first contact.

This role exists to bridge the gap between “story identification” and “human connection” by ensuring that every potential guest or storyteller can be reached through accurate, professional, and consent-respecting communication channels.

A key function of this role is to ensure that contact is made through official, transparent, and non-intrusive channels wherever possible (such as public emails, organisational contacts, management representatives, charity partnerships, or verified professional platforms), rather than informal or private intrusion methods.

This role also supports the integrity of the outreach process by ensuring that all contact data is accurate, up to date, and ethically sourced, reducing the risk of miscommunication, safeguarding concerns, or inappropriate engagement.

About the position

The role provides you with flexibility and autonomy at work. Where necessary, specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set.

Main Responsibilities

• Study design briefs and determine requirements.
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic.
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design.
• Test graphics across various media.
• Amend designs after feedback.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

Essential

• Proven graphic designing experience.
• A portfolio of illustrations or another graphics / CV

TOONDA is a grassroots organization supporting education, empowerment, arts, and community development projects in rural Uganda. We are looking for a volunteer who can help us identify and approach companies, foundations, and organizations interested in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sponsorships, or general funding partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify companies and organizations aligned with TOONDA’s mission
• Support outreach to businesses in Uganda and internationally
• Help develop partnership ideas, CSR proposals, and sponsorship approaches
• Draft outreach messages, presentations, or partnership materials
• Support relationship-building and follow-up communication
• Suggest fundraising and partnership strategies for long-term sustainability

• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection
