Role Title: Graphic Designer

Role Purpose

Quilombo UK is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the team. Quilombo UK is a not for profit social enterprise that challenges people to think differently and bridge gaps between communities, with the aim of building a culturally rich society, where differences are accepted and celebrated. • Study design briefs and determine requirements

Art Explora is a non-profit arts organisation that aims to share arts and culture with everyone - locally, nationally and internationally - and inspire new encounters between arts and audiences.

Arts at Home supports older people to access arts and culture by encouraging conversation and connection through art. We are looking for volunteers to participate in our "Arts at Home" sessions in residential care homes. In these sessions, you will introduce works of art of your choice and facilitate conversations around the artworks with residents. No prior professional experience is needed; we will provide you with the necessary training.

You will need to be able to travel to Birmingham locations independently (pre agreed local travel expenses paid).

This group offers blind and partially sighted people living with Sight Loss After Stroke the opportunity to socialise with one another on a regular basis. We’re looking for the right person to facilitate the group. Do you have personal or professional experience of SLAS? If you’re also a good listener, able to manage group conversations and make people feel comfortable in a social group environment, we’re eager to hear from you.

This is a telephone-based role that you can do from home. You will need access to a landline and/or mobile phone. We ask you to commit to 1-2 hours per week to facilitate one group session, which will take place at the same day and time each week.

You will be the link between the group participants and the RNIB Talk and Support team and will:

• Listen to the group conversation, ensure it flows and that all conversations are appropriate;

Role Summary

Obuyisi bw'Omu Initiative is seeking an experienced Remote Mental Health Program Officer to lead and strengthen our Kyogere ("Say It Out") Mental Health Program. This leadership volunteer role is ideal for a mental health professional who is passionate about advancing community mental health, reducing stigma, and supporting youth wellbeing in underserved communities.
Working remotely, you will provide strategic and technical leadership to our mental health programme, helping design impactful initiatives, guide awareness campaigns, strengthen partnerships, and support the development of community-based mental health interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Kyogere Mental Health Program.
• Provide technical guidance on mental health awareness, psychosocial support, and community engagement initiatives.

SUNSHINE Charity

Shining a light on loneliness

Learn to Love to Read offers one-to-one support to children who find learning to read challenging, in schools and online via Zoom.Our In-school volunteers are asked to commit 90 minutes, one afternoon a week, usually between 1-3 pm.
Our virtual volunteers are asked to commit 30-60 minutes, one afternoon a week, usually between 4-6 pm.

Full training and ongoing support is provided for all volunteers to provide them with a framework which supports children's reading skills, while also building their self-esteem, confidence and love of reading. Our volunteers support the same children each week, providing 20 minutes of one-to-one support for the whole academic year. This ensures a consistent and rewarding experience for both the volunteer and the children.

In Wandsworth, post-COVID, 20% of Key Stage 1 and 25% of Key Stage 2 children did not reach the expected standard of reading in summer 2025. Low literacy is linked to poverty and social exclusion, limiting options in life. Early literacy intervention is crucial to break this cycle. School closures due to COVID-19 have been tough for children from disadvantaged families.
 

Please note we only work with schools in the London borough of Wandsworth and all our volunteers need to live in or within easy reach of that borough. 

In line with Safer Recruitment, all applicants are asked to complete an application form, provide references, take part in a face-to-face interview and ID check, and attend online training which includes safeguarding. All volunteers must have an enhanced DBS check which we arrange on your behalf. You will also be required to obtain checks from any country in which you've lived for more than three months from the age of 16 in line with Wandsworth's guidance. Once you have registered, we’ll send you a link to the application form.

Learn to Love to Read is committed to working without bias and offering equal opportunities for our volunteers. We are committed to valuing diversity and working inclusively across all our activities. Our aim is that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

We are looking for a fundraising expert to join our external Finance Committee. In particular we’re looking for someone who can interrogate plans and performance, with experience of the marketplace and the need for fundraising investment. The ideal candidate will have a background in fundraising and developing income generation strategies but also a passion for innovation, insight and above all ‘best in class’ supporter care.

The Finance Committee is responsible for monitoring the financial performance of the full portfolio for the organisation. It plays a key role in protecting the financial health and sustainability of Samaritans and our vision that fewer people die by suicide. The Committee is a formal advisory committee of the Board of Trustees and reports on its work, conclusions and recommendations to the Board on a regular basis.

We are seeking applicants who will provide independent and effective advice to help the committee fulfil its responsibilities in:

• Monitoring and reviewing budgets, accounts and financial performance and making recommendations in response to identified areas of risk;
• Monitoring and reviewing fundraising plans, investments and ongoing performance and making recommendations;
• Assessing the investment and reserves policies for the organisation and reviewing performance.

Applicants for this role should have experience of senior fundraising roles.

About the role

Term: Committee members are usually appointed for a period of three years, with the possibility of a second three-year term.

Location: The role is home-based and may involve some travel within the UK. As a minimum, attendance is required at four committee meetings, either in person or online.

Remuneration: The role is voluntary.

Position: Board of Director - Fundraising & Partnerships Expert (Unpaid Volunteer Role)

Reports to: Board Chairperson

Location: Hybrid (remote + in-person events as needed)

Purpose: To lead all donor relations, sponsorships, and income-generation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage high-value donors, sponsors, and investors.

• Create innovative fundraising campaigns and grant proposals.

• Build long-term relationships with corporations and philanthropists.

• Collaborate with the marketing team for event-based fundraising.

• Mentor board members in effective fundraising techniques.
