To support MumsAid in understanding how effectively its services meet the needs of the mums we support. By gathering feedback and contributing to monitoring activities, this role helps ensure that service development is informed by lived experience and that accurate data is available to meet funding and reporting requirements. 

What will you be doing? 

• Review outstanding feedback responses. 

• Contact service users by phone to collect feedback in a respectful, supportive, and non-judgemental manner. 

• Assist with the design and distribution of surveys, questionnaires, and feedback forms. 

• Record and organise feedback data accurately to support analysis and reporting. 

• Support the monitoring of service delivery against agreed outcomes, standards, or targets. 

• Identify and highlight recurring themes, concerns, or suggestions to the relevant staff team. 

• Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. 

What skills and qualities can you bring? 

• A warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach when speaking to service users. 

• Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with parents who may be experiencing challenging circumstances. 

• Good communication and active listening skills. 

• Attention to detail and accuracy when recording information. 

• Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and when to escalate concerns. 

• Reliability and commitment to the agreed volunteering schedule. 

• Willingness to complete MumsAid induction and required training. 

• Confidence using basic IT tools such as spreadsheets and online forms.

This voluntary role is a great opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives 

As a Research and Campaigns Volunteer you will: 

• create leaflets and posters to promote the service, or use existing materials 
• use social media, for example, Facebook and LinkedIn to raise the profile of the local Citizens Advice 
• help to share what local Citizens Advice does with your local press or radio station 
• write information for the local Citizens Advice website or newsletter 
• talk to clients or volunteers about their experiences 
• help arrange a talk or event to promote the local Citizens Advice to others 
• Raise awareness with staff and volunteers of current social policy issues. 
• Check evidence forms regarding clients’ issues and problems and analyse the results in terms of main trends, identifying potential campaigning issues
• take an interest and gain understanding about what staff and volunteers are doing around researching client issues and campaigning for change, and how this fits in with national Citizens Advice 
• Help provide information and evidence for a full report on research and campaigns 

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will self-motivated, with strong research and IT skills, have an understanding of social media and how to utilise it and have the ability to contribute positively whilst having a flexible approach.

We are looking for a lively dynamic individual to promote the activities of Sussex Area Ramblers by regular communications with members and engaging with local media including producing press releases and responding to enquiries. 

The main purposes of the role are (1) to maintain regular communications with Sussex Area Ramblers’ members by producing articles for the Area Website and sending email communications to keep members up to date with Area activities, including developing a social media strategy and (2) to communicate (together where necessary with Ramblers' Central Office) with media in the Area, including by way of proactive press releases, and deal with media enquiries, to ensure that the activities and charitable role of the Sussex Area Ramblers are given a high profile
