3T has a fantastic track record with our graduates going on to work with the likes of Beyoncé, Coldplay, Sam Smith, The Jacksons and Tate McRae. We have a strong reputation and support base within the music industry with partners keen to donate time, money and expertise.

We are now a registered charity but our team is lacking experience in the formalities of this structure. We are a small but enthusiastic organisation and there is an opportunity here to expand our impact even further with your support.

We are seeking two trustees, including a chair. We already have a lot of music industry experience so it is our priority to fill these positions with people who have confidence on the boards of UK charities. A passion for diversity or adult education is a bonus. Knowledge of the music industry is not required.

All trustee meetings take place remotely so we are accepting applications from any location.

Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that Citizens Advice North Staffordshire, known as CANS, achieves its core purpose. As the People's Champion, at CANS we believe that everyone deserves access to good quality, free, independnet advice when they need it most. Our Trustees oversee the overall management and adminitstration of the charity. They also ensure that CANs has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision to Empower, Encourage and Enable our clients to leave our service in a better place then when they frist came to us. Camphill Devon is a long-established charity providing supported living, residential care and meaningful community for adults with learning disabilities. Camphill Devon is looking for six new trustees to provide strategic and inspirational leadership to the charity. The charity is seeking applicants with experience and/or skills in the following areas:

• Care Committee – 2 Trustees . Candidates should have a background in adult social care, supported living, or learning disability services, with knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding frameworks, and care quality governance.
• Finance Committee – 2 Trustees (one of whom will Chair the Finance Committee). Candidates should have professional experience in finance, accountancy, or audit. At least one of the two should have demonstrable risk management expertise, including risk frameworks and internal controls.
• Workforce Committee – 1 Trustee . Candidates should have a background in HR, workforce planning, or organisational development, with experience in a regulated or care sector environment preferable.
• Estates Committee – 1 Trustee . Candidates should have professional expertise in estates management, facilities, construction, surveying, or asset management, with working knowledge of statutory health and safety compliance.

Specialist Expertise Sought

In addition to the general requirements above, we are particularly seeking candidates who can bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:

1. Charity Governance

• In-depth knowledge of charity governance best practice, preferably gained through prior trustee, board, or senior charity leadership experience.

• Understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks for UK charities.

• Legal skills relating to charity law, contracts, risk management, or related fields (desirable).

2. Charity Fundraising

Experience and understanding of charity fundraising, with particular relevance to EA-aligned funding environments.

• Understanding of the strategic landscape of farmed animal protection, including corporate campaigns, legislative advocacy, public engagement, and movement priorities.

• Experience of designing, advising on, or evaluating campaigns that seek measurable improvements for farmed animals.

• Awareness of the wider animal protection movement, including key organisations, campaign tactics, risks, and opportunities for collaboration.

• Scientific or veterinarian understanding and experience with farmed animals (desirable).

Role Overview

Alongside your duties as a Trustee, you will provide strategic leadership to the Board, ensuring strong governance, accountability and oversight of White Lodge.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold high standards of governance, ensuring compliance with Charity Commission, Companies House and relevant legislation. 

• Chair Trustee Board meetings, setting agendas that prioritise strategy, risk, performance and impact. 

• Model ethical, values-led leadership and act at all times in the best interests of White Lodge. 

• Work in close partnership with the Chief Executive to ensure governance aligns with delivery of the Strategic Plan, while maintaining clear boundaries between governance and operational management.

• Ensure effective oversight of financial stewardship, safeguarding, risk management and organisational performance. 

• Ensure risk and assurance processes are embedded across Board and committee work.

• Oversee Board effectiveness, including annual evaluations, Trustee development and succession planning.

Time Commitment

This is a voluntary role. The typical time commitment includes:

• Quarterly Trustee Board meetings (evenings; in person)

• Annual Board Away Day / strategic planning session (full day; in person)

• Attendance at bi-annual committee meetings if appropriate, to be agreed with the Board

• Regular liaison with the Chief Executive and Committee Chairs (hybrid)

• Preparation time and occasional external representation (hybrid)

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Significant senior leadership experience, with experience of governance, Board leadership or working alongside Boards. This experience may have been gained within the charity, public or private sectors.

About You and the Role  

You don’t need to have experience of being on a Board. In fact, the role would be ideal for someone considering taking on their first role as a trustee. We will work with you to understand your duties as a trustee and support you.

You will, however, have experience of one of more of priority areas we are looking for:

• Personal experience of our programmes and/or the UK asylum system
• Press and PR
• Charity governance
• Public, philanthropy and/or high-net worth giving
• Sector experience and/or contacts relevant to the work of The Bike Project

You will be joining a highly committed group of trustees who give their time, expertise and contacts to support the charity. Our trustees are critical in enabling us to thrive and this role plays a key role in supporting the wider board to fulfil its financial responsibilities.

You will work together with the wider staff team to set our strategic direction and improve our work with refugees. At the heart of everything we do is the real and immediate impact a bike makes to the lives of those who have been through so much. You will be part of us achieving that.

We’re looking for trustees

We’re looking to recruit dynamic, committed and motivated people with professional skills and experience who are as passionate as we are about empowering individuals to work through and beyond their experience of sexual abuse.

Specific qualifications are not necessarily required and we welcome applicants with lived experience. A genuine interest in learning about our charity and our services within the local community is essential.

These trustees will help to form a new board dedicated to supporting the charity and contributing to the effective and quality governance of Trust House. You will play an active role in developing the strategic direction of the charity and provide guidance to ensure the charity continues to support anyone affected by rape or sexual abuse in the Thames Valley area.

The Society of Evidence Based Policing is looking for an additional trustee to join its board, with a particular focus on legal expertise.

SEBP is a registered UK charity that exists to improve policing for the public through the use, production and communication of evidence based practices in policing. We’ve been around since 2012 and although we’re run by and for police personnel, we’re an entirely independent grassroots organisation. You can learn more about our work at our website.

Why we’re recruiting

We are strengthening the board for two reasons. First, resilience: an additional trustee helps ensure meetings remain quorate and decision-making robust when one or two trustees are unavailable. Second, expertise: we would particularly value a trustee with a legal background, ideally in charity and organisational law, to support good governance as SEBP develops.

The role

As a trustee you would:

• Contribute to the strategic direction and good governance of the charity
• Provide advice and scrutiny on organisational, charitable, and compliance matters

This is an unpaid, voluntary position; reasonable expenses are covered. The board currently meets once every other month, remotely and occasionally in person. Eligibility

Appointments are subject to the standard requirement that candidates are not disqualified from acting as a charity trustee under the Charities Act. As a policing charity, we also require confirmation that candidates do not appear on the College of Policing’s Police Barred List. Successful candidates will be asked to provide the relevant declarations as part of the appointment process.

Could your fundraising expertise help save lives?

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is looking for a Trustee with senior fundraising, supporter engagement and income generation experience to join our Board.

This voluntary role is an opportunity to use your expertise to help shape the future of a life-saving charity. As a Trustee, you'll provide strategic oversight, constructive challenge and specialist governance, helping to ensure we can continue delivering critical care to people across the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.

You won't be involved in delivering fundraising activity day to day. Instead, you'll work alongside fellow Trustees to scrutinise strategy, monitor performance, oversee risk and ensure our fundraising remains ethical, effective and aligned with our mission.

We're particularly interested in hearing from people with senior experience in fundraising, development, external engagement or income generation within the charity, social enterprise, public benefit or purpose-led sectors.

You will bring experience in:

· Fundraising strategy and income diversification

· Donor stewardship, supporter journeys and campaign planning

· Fundraising governance, compliance and ethical practice

· Board-level thinking, constructive challenge and sound judgement

· Building relationships and acting as an ambassador for a mission-led organisation

You will also share our mission, values, equity, diversity and inclusion, and Nolan’s seven principles of public life.

Time commitment

The Board meets at least four times a year, plus a strategy day. Trustees are encouraged to sit on two Board Committees, with additional contact usually taking place by email, telephone or Microsoft Teams.
