About Children With Voices

Children With Voices is a community-focused charity based in Hackney, London, supporting children, young people and families through education, creativity, healthy eating, community support and volunteering.

We are looking for a reliable and organised Volunteer Accounts Manager to support the financial management of the organisation and help ensure our financial records and processes are maintained accurately.

About the Role

As our Volunteer Accounts Manager, you will support the organisation with day-to-day financial administration and provide oversight of our accounts processes.

This is an opportunity for someone with accounting or bookkeeping experience who would like to use their skills to support a community organisation and make a meaningful contribution to our work.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Support the management of income and expenditure
• Monitor and reconcile financial transactions
• Assist with bookkeeping and account administration
• Work with QuickBooks to maintain financial records
• Prepare basic financial reports and summaries for management
• Support with invoices, receipts, payments and expense records
• Monitor financial documentation and ensure records are properly organised
• Assist with budgeting and financial tracking
• Liaise with the wider team regarding financial information when required
• Help ensure appropriate financial procedures and controls are followed
• Provide general financial guidance and support to the organisation where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in accounting, bookkeeping or financial administration
• Comfortable working with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
• Highly organised and detail-oriented
• Confident working with numbers and financial information
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Able to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information
• A clear communicator who can work effectively with a small team
• Passionate about supporting a community organisation

Previous experience working within a charity or voluntary organisation would be beneficial but is not essential.
