About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Fundraising to lead and develop our fundraising strategy at a crucial time in Youth Advantage UK's growth. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll oversee a multi-disciplinary fundraising team and play a key role in shaping our strategy to secure the resources needed to support our mission.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising leader who is ready to take on a leadership position, mentor a growing team, and make a tangible impact on the lives of those we serve. You will be instrumental in driving fundraising across diverse channels, from major donor cultivation to digital fundraising and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Execute Fundraising Strategy – Develop and drive a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes grant fundraising and aligns with the organisation’s mission and financial goals.
• Manage Fundraising Teams – Provide leadership to Fundraising Managers and the Partnerships Lead, ensuring successful delivery across all fundraising channels.
• Build Relationships with Major Donors – Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key donors, stakeholders, and potential partners to secure long-term support.
• Oversee Fundraising Events – Lead and support the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising events that engage donors and raise critical funds.
• Digital Fundraising – Oversee online giving campaigns and strategies to increase digital fundraising engagement and revenue.
• Reporting and Budgeting – Monitor fundraising progress, ensuring targets are met, and provide regular reports to the CEO and Board.
• Team Development – Mentor and coach the fundraising team, ensuring they are motivated, developed, and equipped to excel in their roles.
• Strategic Partnerships – Build and nurture community partnerships that expand our reach and increase funding.
• Brand Advocacy – Act as a passionate ambassador for the charity, enhancing its visibility in the charity sector and promoting its mission.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a dynamic leader with the skills and experience to make a positive impact. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Proven experience in fundraising, with a strong track record across digital campaigns, corporate partnerships and grant fundraising.
• Leadership experience in managing and developing fundraising teams or volunteers.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to think big and execute effectively in a resource-constrained environment.
• Hands-on experience in managing the day-to-day operations of fundraising campaigns while being able to step back and think at a strategic level.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders.
• A passion for the cause – a genuine belief in the mission of Youth Advantage UK and a commitment to making a difference.
• Familiarity with digital fundraising tools and social media platforms for promoting campaigns (desirable but not essential).
• Previous experience in volunteer-led organisations is a bonus.

Sea Cadets Leith, based in Prince of Wales Docks, is currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our committee team. Whether you chair the committee, run our social media, or help us fundraise on an ad-hoc basis, you’ll be supporting young people to access opportunities to create life-long memories and friendships.

At Leith we aim to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment. We offer a range of different activities from sailing, windsurfing and powerboating - to rock climbing, camping, and music - plus, so much more!

Leith is a long-established Sea Cadet Unit that has provided life-changing opportunities for many young people. We currently have 24 cadets who come from all over the area. Our cadets come from all walks of life, with some experiencing adverse childhood events, and limited access to social youth groups. Without support from volunteers like you, our charity cannot provide the adventure, community, and opportunities that young people experience through the Sea Cadets.

The primary purpose of the CFAV is to assist in the development of young people as
Individuals and active citizens by providing safe and rewarding training, direction and guidance.
The secondary purposes of a CFAV are:
- Maintain the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) values
- Assist the Unit Training Officer (UTO) to plan a varied training programme.
- Safely and securely maintain the unit’s resources and equipment.

We will support you to understand your role, how to do it and the difference you make to the SCC
- Understand the skills and experience you have, as well as your aspirations for volunteering

At One Degree, our mentors, ambassadors, and teachers are more than just volunteers—they’re lifelines for students often overlooked in their schools and communities. Most of our mentors are young professionals, bringing passion, patience, and empathy to help GCSE/Year 11 students (ages 15–16) navigate their challenges. These volunteers serve as role models, guiding students who might otherwise feel left behind toward brighter futures.

To foster meaningful connections and provide continuity, we ask volunteers to commit to at least three in-person or online sessions per year. This ensures students build trust and form bonds with the people dedicated to helping them succeed.

Job description

As Clinical Lead, you will provide professional oversight, guidance, and liaison for all cultural and emotional therapy initiatives within the organisation. You will work closely with membership, engagement, and programme teams. This role blends strategic leadership, operational management, and community-facing support to build safe, transformative, and accessible therapy systems.

Experience Qualification and Requirements

Essential / Highly Valued Experience

• Professional qualification and current registration in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, Counselling, or a closely related discipline (e.g. HCPC, BACP, UKCP, BABCP, or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience providing trauma-informed therapeutic support, with strong understanding of how trauma, culture, identity, and systemic factors affect emotional wellbeing
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, risk management, and ethical practice within clinical, voluntary, and community-based settings
• Working understanding of GDPR and data protection principles, particularly relating to confidential health and safeguarding information

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties

• Provide strategic and hands-on clinical oversight to ensure the effective delivery of culturally informed emotional and therapeutic services. Ensure that programmes are safe, ethical, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse needs of members.
• Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of emotional wellbeing and therapeutic services, ensuring that interventions are culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, and aligned with the organisation’s mission and values. This includes supporting programme design, session structures, referral pathways, and evaluation frameworks to promote positive member outcomes.
• Liaise closely with therapists, facilitators, programme leads, and safeguarding officers to ensure consistent alignment with clinical governance, ethical frameworks, safeguarding policies, and professional standards. Provide expert consultation on complex considerations.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision of therapy facilitators and volunteers. Advising on role suitability, contributing to training content, offering reflective supervision, and promoting best practice in boundaries, self-care, and ethical decision-making.
• Review and approve therapy protocols, session guidelines, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures, ensuring they are clinically sound, culturally sensitive, and proportionate to the needs and risks of the service users. Ensure that all therapeutic activity complies with relevant professional regulatory standards, safeguarding legislation, and data protection requirements, including GDPR.
• Monitor member wellbeing outcomes, qualitative feedback, and service impact data to inform continuous improvement, learning, and programme development. This includes identifying trends, risks, or unmet needs and advising on appropriate service adaptations.
• As the primary clinical point of contact, the role holder will provide professional oversight for complex cases, escalations, or member concerns that require clinical judgement, risk management, or safeguarding intervention, working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals where required.

Food donations, supplies, and resources need to move — and you are the person who makes that happen. As our Volunteer Driver, you'll be a critical part of the operation, collecting from our partners and suppliers and delivering to the Hub so that families across Hackney can be fed.

This is a practical, independent role that puts you at the heart of our supply chain — and the impact you make is felt every single session.

As our monday.com Training & Systems Volunteer, you'll help our Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team get the most from the project management platform at the heart of how we work. You'll assess current knowledge and confidence levels, then design and deliver practical, engaging training that builds real capability — from first-time users to those ready to go deeper. You'll also create simple, clear reference materials that people can return to independently, respond to ad hoc queries, and keep everything up to date as monday.com is implemented. By making technology feel approachable, you'll free up our team to focus on what matters most: helping millions of separated children get Back to Family.
 
About you
We're looking for a volunteer with confident, hands-on knowledge of monday.com (day-to-day use and administration experience are both welcome), alongside experience delivering training or coaching in a workplace setting, whether formal or informal. You'll be able to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently to people with varying levels of confidence, and you'll bring a warm, encouraging style to every interaction. You'll be self-motivated and comfortable working independently with light-touch coordination from the team. Familiarity with monday.com automations and integrations, or experience with charity or NGO operations, would be a bonus, but neither is essential. Most importantly, you'll share our belief that every child belongs in a family, and you'll be excited to play your part in making that happen.
 
About Hope and Homes for Children
Orphanages don't protect children, they harm them. Put simply: the last thing an orphanage can provide is the first thing a child needs - someone to love them. Science shows what we all know, that the bond between a child and their family is vital for their development. Decades of evidence proves that orphanages harm children, subjecting them to high levels of abuse and extreme neglect. Today, over 5.4 million children are confined to orphanages worldwide, and more than 80% of them are not orphans at all. Children always belong in families. They need protection, encouragement, play, laughter and love. They need somewhere to call home and someone to love them. You can help us make this a reality for children.
 
Time commitment: Flexible: estimated 3–4 days per month initially, reducing to ad hoc as staff become more confident. Minimum commitment of 6 months.

About the role

While financial matters are the responsibility of all trustees, the Treasurer is instrumental in guiding the CEO and the Board with advice, guidance and reassurance on all aspects of the charity’s financial management and reporting and controls.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with relevant expertise and experience to join our Board of Trustees, initially as an Ordinary Trustee, but with the aim of taking over the Treasurer role upon completion of induction and handover

You will form part of our Board of Trustees, accountable in the UK with the following responsibilities:
1. Ensure the charity complies with charity law and does not breach any requirements or rules set out in our governing documents.
2. Provide strategic oversight and input into the running of the organisation.
3. Contribute towards securing a sustainable funding base for the charity.

4. Oversee and present budgets, internal management accounts and annual financial statements to the Board,
advising on specific issues during the annual audit process.
5. Lead in the Board’s duty to ensure that proper accounting records are kept, financial resources are properly controlled and spent, and adequate reserves are maintained.
6. Oversee the design of financial controls and adherence to systems; leading the financial risk‐management process.
7. Act as a signatory on Able Child’s bank accounts.
8. Actively participate in and steer the Resources Sub-Committee of the Board

About You

You will live the values of Able Child, keeping the best interests of our staff and beneficiaries at the heart of decision making. You will have the capability to support our Strategic Plan, working closely with the CEO to ensure the organisation remains well governed and at the forefront of our sector.

As Treasurer, you will have background knowledge and understanding of the voluntary sector and the specific charity finance, including but not limited to, accounting for restricted and unrestricted funding, full cost recovery from grants and managing foreign exchange. We are especially interested in hearing from women for this role, although applications from all qualified candidates are welcomed

Experience
1. A recognised professional qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA) with demonstrable post qualification experience (greater than 5 years) and a thorough practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
2. Experience of working within a charity finance function (desirable).
3. Previous (or current) experience as a trustee (not essential).

The Children's Book Project is a national charity on a mission to tackle book poverty. We passionately believe that every child should have the opportunity to own a book and have, in the last year, celebrated gifting our 1 millionth book! We are looking for some wonderful volunteers to help us in managing book sorting and packing with a range of amazing corporate volunteers at our three HQs in Birmingham, Leeds and London.

We gift beautiful pre-loved and new books to schools and we gift within prison settings in order to reach children who may not otherwise have access to book ownership.

We are looking for volunteers in Birmingham, Leeds and London able to help us in the running of our book sorting days at each of our three HQs.  Ideally you will be able to commit to 2-3 days per half term.  (We work term-times only).  Our hours are 10am - 2:30pm.

We work with a range of amazing corporate volunteer teams who come to organise, sort and then pack our books in preparation for delivery. These corporate days are always full of energy and fun and we are looking for energetic and passionate people to support these events as Volunteer Coordinators - helping to make sure that there is a warm welcome, a clear plan for the day and that our one-off visitors can contribute productively.

What is required:

• On average, a commitment to 2 days per half term 
• Flexibility to travel to your local HQ for sorting and corporate volunteering days
• A can-do attitude and enjoyment of working as part of a team.

Purpose of the Role

To join the board as a Volunteer Finanical Director, bringing governance knowledge and strategic thinking to strengthen board effectiveness, uphold the CIC's obligations, and ensure all decisions are made in the best interests of the community we serve.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Guide the Board

• Attend two to three board meetings per month, virtual or hybrid, and come prepared to contribute
• Help ensure decisions are made properly, recorded, and followed through
• Review and respond to decisions outside of meetings within 48 to 72 hours
• Support the review of policies and raise questions when something needs attention
• Support the development of projects and programmes by contributing ideas, strategic thinking, critical insight, and creative, innovative approaches, while bringing energy, boldness, and enthusiasm.

2. Keep Us on Track

• Contribute to strategic decision-making, policy approval, and organisational oversight
• Monitor organisational performance and support the Managing Director in delivery accountability
• Flag risks early and help ensure resources are used well and in line with our mission
• Keep the needs of the communities we serve at the centre of every decision

3. Be a Critical Friend

• Challenge and support the Managing Director with honesty and care
• Ask the questions that need to be asked, even when it is uncomfortable
• Help us grow in a way that is sustainable and grounded in our values

4. Champion What Matters

• Be an ambassador for Zion Wellness in how you show up and speak about us
• Participate in bi-directional mentorship exchanges with young people on the programme
• Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and community interest are never an afterthought

What We Are Looking For

You will bring:

• A strong professional background in finance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
• Confident, values-led leadership with the ability to represent the CIC's mission at board level
• A background in leadership, social impact, or community outreach
• Experience in creative direction, entrepreneurship, or project leadership
• Understanding of organisational strategy, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development
• A genuine commitment to systemic change and the communities we serve

It would be great if you also have:

• Governance experience such as trustee, governor, or board-level involvement, though this is not essential
• Experience in a charity, CIC, or grassroots organisation
• Training and induction will be provided for the right candidate

This role is open to graduate and university students (aged 18+) who are looking to gain real leadership and governance experience. If you are early in your career and passionate about community impact, we want to hear from you. Ongoing support will be provided.
