SEED Madagascar is offering a remote internship opportunity to support the SCRP programme through focused data cleaning, organisation, and analysis. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong technical skills who is keen to contribute directly to improving data quality and strengthening programme evaluation systems.

Working 1–2 days per week, you will assist in preparing, cleaning, validating, and analysing datasets generated through SCRP activities. Duties and responsibilities

1. Receive raw datasets from the SCRP team and associated researchers

2. Clean, organise, validate, and standardise data to ensure accuracy and consistency

3. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and errors within datasets and propose improvements

4. Develop clear documentation of data cleaning and management processes

5. Conduct preliminary statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis when required

6. Prepare cleaned datasets and summary outputs for reporting and internal review

7. Support integration of analysed data into technical reports and programme documentation

8. Contribute to strengthening SCRP data management systems and workflows

9. Liaise with programme staff to clarify data collection methodologies when needed

10. Undertake additional data-related tasks as directed by the Programme Manager

Qualifications

• Hold or be studying toward an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in conservation, environmental science, statistics, data science, or a related field

• Have experience inputting and managing datasets

• Have experience writing and editing code in R. Familiarity using packages dplyr, lubridate, ggplot2, stringr, readxl, here, tidyr, and vegan, for data manipulation, visualisation, and analysis. 

• Proven high standard of written and verbal communication and editing skills 

• Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to SEED’s ethos and approach and be a good ambassador for the organisation at all times

• Be punctual and be able to work to tight deadlines in an organised manner and to a high standard

The workshop facilitator role is flexible and as part of your role, you may be involved in:

• Delivering and leading short workshops or courses, on behalf of GT Scholars (Online or offline)

• Designing engaging, interactive and educational workshops and short courses for young people and ensuring that the content is targeted to suit different abilities and capabilities

• Managing short activities and Q&A sessions during our workshops

Communications Officer (Volunteer)

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of 30+ volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda, but spanning over 10 countries.

We are looking to expand and diversify our team of volunteers – seeking candidates with knowledge and skills in various fields, and a deep passion for our cause.

Join us as part of our Communications team to help deliver powerful content for our internal & external communications strategy. Are you a Child and Young Person Clinical Supervisor interested in supporting child and young person counsellors and therapists?

Burning Nights CRPS Support has a highly skilled counselling and therapy team who provide counselling and psychotherapy to adults and children who have been impacted by a debilitating pain condition, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This team is expanding rapidly and we are now looking for 1 volunteer Child and Young Person (CYP) Clinical Supervisor to join this team ensuring we can continue the provision of our vital emotional support services to this community specifically for young people. We would ideally like to take on 1 CYP Clinical Supervisor supporting a small group of CYP therapists who specialise in a range of modalities.

All our Counselling and therapy team help to develop our growing mental health support service for patients, families and carers affected by Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). As a volunteer with the CRPS Counselling & Therapy Service, your skills and experience as a CYP Clinical Supervisor will be providing support to therapists who offer therapy to vulnerable children and young people aged 5-18.

Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, you will provide group and 1-2-1 Supervision support for CYP counsellors or psychotherapists who provide counselling support or specialist services for children and young people. The service currently offers specialist support to anyone over the age of 5 who is affected by CRPS.

Key Tasks and Objectives

• Facilitate Clinical Supervision group sessions on a monthly basis (online) and be able to offer at least 1 or 2 supervisees on 1-2-1 basis mainly trainees

• Administer this supervision from invitation through to record keeping

• Take part in complex case allocation meetings with the Clinical Lead

• Maintain appropriate clinical records of all work and to report, along with any concerns on individuals or their practice to the Clinical Lead

• Commitment to ongoing supervision of supervision practice at Burning Nights CRPS Support as well as engaging in separate own personal supervision

• Work flexibly as part of a small team as necessary to provide maximum coverage for supervision, such as in the event of emergencies

• Abide by all Burning Nights CRPS Support policies and procedures

• Adhere to BACP, BABCP (or other appropriate therapies governing body) Ethical Framework

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Psychotherapy/Counselling qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a similar field

• Qualification in Clinical Supervision - ideally level 7 or above (could also suit experienced counsellors who require a placement during Clinical Supervision placement, or experienced counsellors wishing to gain experience in supervision)

• Had experience of supervising CYP therapists 

• Accreditation/registration (or working at the level of or towards this qualification) as a Supervisor with BACP/HCPC/BABCP or equivalent

• Significant proven experience of supervising individual CYP counsellors/psychotherapists from a range of training backgrounds 

• Appropriate and proven clinical experience of working with young people with a range of difficulties including complex medical health issues, loss and bereavement. Ideally experience of working with children and young people living with or affected by chronic pain or chronic conditions

• Willingness to engage in any Burning Nights CRPS Support training

• Understanding of issues regarding confidentiality and management of risk within a counselling service

Youth Advantage UK is seeking a volunteer Head of Local Operations to lead the launch and on-going delivery of its commissioned research projects in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The focus of these projects will be obtaining and analysing primary and secondary data in order to help smaller community organisations improve their ways of working and effectively report on their impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring their teams deliver these projects within the agreed time-scales and in line with the goals agreed with the commissioning organisations, growing Youth Advantage’s reputation and reach.

Role Purpose

The Ethics Advisor is a volunteer role within the Ethics Team, responsible for supporting ethical review processes, advising project teams on ethical considerations, and contributing to the development of responsible research practice. Advisors work closely with Senior Officers/Senior Researchers/Senior Advisors to ensure that ethical standards are consistently applied across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice to project teams on ethical considerations, data management and responsible research design.

• Support ethical review processes by assessing risks, identifying issues and recommending improvements.

• Work with Senior team members to ensure consistent application of ethical frameworks.

• Assist in developing guidance materials, templates or resources to support ethical practice.

• Contribute to discussions on ethical governance, risk and compliance.

• Maintain accurate and responsible handling of sensitive information and research data.

• Support the organisation’s mission by promoting ethical awareness and responsible research behaviour.

• A proven record of good decision‑making, ideally demonstrated in a role where ethical judgement, risk assessment or responsible practice has been a core component.

• A strong interest in research ethics, including a commitment to maintaining ethical standards across research projects and supporting others to do the same.

• Experience providing guidance, advice or support in a research or ethics‑related context is beneficial but not essential.

• A solid understanding of how to support others in ethical decision‑making or research practice.

• Ideally, a PhD or active progress toward a PhD, or equivalent advanced research experience.

• Experience mentoring, guiding or supporting others in a research or ethics context.

Donation Research Assistant (Volunteer)

International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals (IAPWA) was founded in 2009 and aims to provide protection and improve the welfare of animals in need. Our first project is based in Borneo, where we provide a lifeline to thousands of dogs and cats every year in need of veterinary care and support. Our companion animal programmes have since developed in other countries, including Romania and Penang Island, as well as support programmes to help other species.

We are currently looking for Donation Research Volunteers to help support our Online Retail Team. This role will enable us to continue raising vital funds for our animals in need by helping to identify potential sources for donations of goods for our monthly online auctions and other fundraising platforms. 

Tasks will include:

• Researching suitable businesses to reach out to for potential donations.

• Develop relationships with donors, providing regular communication and support when needed. 

• Record and track donations received for our monthly online auctions.

• Collaborate with the team to identify best fundraising options. 

Ideally you will;

• Have experience or an interest in a research role, particularly within the charity sector.

• Be familiar with Google Workspace or willingness to learn.

• Have the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

• Offer 1-3 hours per week (hours can be fully flexible)

Role Overview

As the Coordinator: Talent Acquisition, you will primarily focus on managing and scheduling interviews for various positions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of recruitment processes, exceptional screening skills, understanding of the onboarding process and the ability to engage and evaluate candidates effectively.

Key Responsibilities

 Interview Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end interview process, from scheduling and coordinating interviews to conducting them. Ensure a seamless and professional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Candidate Evaluation: Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, and provide feedback to hiring managers. Use behavioural interviewing techniques and other assessment tools to gauge suitability.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team culture, and key competencies needed for each position.
Candidate Engagement: Build strong relationships with candidates, providing them with timely updates and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
Reporting & Analytics: Track and report interview metrics, including candidate feedback, time-to-hire, and any recruitment challenges. Use data to continually improve the interview process.
Onboarding Support: Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from interview to onboarding for successful candidates.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure that all interview processes adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Key Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 1+ years of experience in recruitment, specifically in conducting interviews and managing the interview process.
Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred. CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is a plus.
Interviewing Expertise: Strong background in conducting interviews, including using behavioural and situational interview techniques.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence candidates and hiring managers effectively.
Attention to Detail: Ability to assess candidates thoroughly and provide insightful feedback to ensure the right hiring decisions are made.
Technology: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and MS Office. Familiarity with interview scheduling tools and recruitment platforms is beneficial.
Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
