Job description

At St John Ambulance, we are committed to building stronger, healthier communities through the power of volunteering. As we continue to grow our presence and impact across the country, we are looking for passionate individuals to help champion our cause and support our volunteers at a local level.

We are currently seeking a County Vice President to act as an ambassador for St John Ambulance within the local community. This is a unique opportunity to inspire, support, and celebrate the work of our volunteers while helping to build strategic partnerships and raise awareness of our lifesaving services.

As County Vice President, you will act as a local ambassador for St John Ambulance—championing its work, supporting volunteers, and building strong community relationships through events, recognition, and fundraising. You’ll play a key role in promoting sustainability, fostering civic partnerships, and ensuring volunteers are celebrated and empowered.

This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally. You should be comfortable attending events and meetings regularly and be willing to undertake training relevant to the role.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10–15 hours per month
Tenure: Three-year term, with the possibility of renewal
Support and Training: A full induction, safeguarding training, and ongoing support will be provided.
