We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference. Through volunteering as an Emergency Responder, you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering essential first aid and lifesaving clinical care at community and major events in your areas, including at sporting events, concerts, community festivals.

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small, friendly charity based in Southwark, providing inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities. We believe everyone should have the chance to express themselves, connect with others, and take part in activities that bring joy, confidence, and new skills.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Social Club Volunteer to support our weekly Thursday sessions (10.30-12.30). We are based at St Faith’s Centre, Red Post Hill, SE24 9JQ (close to North Dulwich and Herne Hill stations) however this role requires the ability to travel to other locations in the borough of Southwark. We're currently visiting Herne Hill Velodrome with Wheels For Wellbeing and we are looking for people who would be willing to participate alongside our learners.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with others. In Social Club you’ll support our tutor in encouraging learners to participate in a variety of fun activities which aim to nurture the supportive relationships between our learners and enhance their wellbeing, joy and sense of belonging.

Women on the Frontline Ministries (WOFM) is a registered charity supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual exploitation through street-based prostitution, trafficking and other vulnerabilities. We offer outreach, a weekly drop-in, casework and relationship-based support to women who are too often neglected and stigmatised. We are looking for an experienced, motivated volunteer fundraiser to help us grow our income, raise awareness of the women we serve, and make sure this work can continue.

WOFM exists to bring dignity, safety and hope to vulnerable and exploited women in East London. Our work is practical and relational: meeting women where they are, building trust over time, and walking with them towards a more stable future. The role

As our Volunteer Fundraiser, you will help shape and deliver our fundraising strategy and turn it into real income. You will be a key part of securing the resources that sustain and grow our frontline support for women. • Help develop and deliver WOFM’s fundraising strategy and annual income goals.

A little bit about us:

Teach A Man To Fish is an international educational charity with one all-encompassing mission: to empower young people with the skills they need to succeed in school, work and life. We use our school-business model to guide young people and their teachers in the planning and setting up of student-led school businesses that are both educational and profitable. Since 2006, we have supported over 438,000 young people and trained 19,000 teachers through our programmes to set up school businesses which have generated more than $2,000,000 in income! In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting schools worldwide, we launched a new programme: the Enterprise Adventure, a free mobile app for teenagers who want to learn about business and have a positive impact on their community.

The role:

We are looking for one or two volunteers to support the work of our International Programmes team. The ideal candidate will be available to volunteer for 15 hours per week for at least 3 months (ideally more). If you are based in London, you are welcome to volunteer from our office in Finsbury Park, otherwise you may volunteer from home if you prefer. 

You will have the opportunity to get involved with a wide variety of tasks depending on your skills, interests and the time of the year. These include but are not limited to:

• Helping to deliver our marketing strategy (e.g. social media content creation, website updates, carrying out research to increase our reach)

• Helping to deliver our communications and engagement strategy to programme participants (liaising with and engaging young people and teachers through newsletters, blog posts, social media, videos and WhatsApp)

• Supporting with designing educational materials and thinking of business quizzes (knowledge-based and trivia-based)

• Supporting with coordinating the review of School Enterprise Challenge, the Enterprise Adventure and the Trash To Cash Challenge submissions and sending feedback and certificates 

• Contributing to the Monitoring & Evaluation of the programmes through data analysis to inform donor reports and programme improvements

• Gathering and analysing feedback from programme participants (for example through surveys and ‘user testing’ sessions on Zoom) 

The successful candidate(s) will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive can-do attitude, with lots of initiative.

Essential:

• A passion for international development and education/entrepreneurship

Hours: Ideally 15 hours per week. You can fit your volunteering around other commitments (e.g. holidays, studies or another job) and choose whether you would prefer to volunteer for 2 or more full days a week, or spread the hours over more weekdays. The time commitment is flexible, so please state your availability in your cover letter.

Length: Minimum 2 months with the possibility of extension. Starting at the end of August/early September. A commitment of 3 months is preferred.

Basis: Voluntary position. Travel allowance will be provided.

The Vacancy

This voluntary role offers an opportunity to help ensure that Methodist investments are in line with our values and shape a more just world.  As a member of the Joint Advisory Committee on the Ethics of Investment (JACEI), you would help advise the Central Finance Board, the body with legal responsibility for investment, on ethical issues, for example around climate, conflict, children, human rights or AI. 

Time Commitment

The time commitment is approximately 3 - 4 days each year, to include: preparation for and presence at JACEI committee meetings which take place four times a year, usually from 12.30pm - 3.30pm, and can be on zoom or in person at Methodist Church House, as well as other meetings, reading or correspondence as appropriate.

About the Role:

CARAS is looking for volunteer Football Assistants to support our Football sessions on Mondays, 5.30-7pm in Balham.

Football coaching sessions are led by Fulham FC Kicks programme weekly, supported by CARAS volunteers to offer welcome to young people.

Volunteer tasks and responsibilities

· Welcoming young people to the session;

· Helping young people to register for sessions;

MumsAid is an award-winning charity providing specialist mental health and wellbeing support for mothers during pregnancy and early motherhood. We offer counselling, group support, and practical help to ensure that local mums and their families have access to compassionate care and a strong community network. 

Purpose of Role 

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Digital Content and Social Media Volunteer to support MumsAid's marketing and communications activities. 

Working closely with our Marketing & Communications Lead, you'll help bring our stories, campaigns, events, and impact to life through engaging social media content. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating digital content, has an eye for design, and wants to use their skills to support a meaningful cause. 

This is a flexible, remote volunteering opportunity and an excellent chance to gain experience in charity communications, build a portfolio, and help raise awareness of maternal mental health and the support available through MumsAid. 

What will you be doing? 

• Creating engaging social media graphics and content using a content calendar provided by the Marketing & Communications Lead. 

• Designing visual assets that align with MumsAid's brand guidelines and campaign objectives. 

• Adapting content for different social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other channels as required. 

• Working collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications Lead to develop and refine content ideas. 

• Helping to communicate MumsAid's impact, services, events, campaigns, and fundraising activities. 

• Ensuring content is created and shared within agreed timeframes. 

• Contributing creative ideas to help increase engagement, reach, and awareness across our social media channels. 

• Following MumsAid's policies and procedures, including safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection guidance.

Help us tell the stories that matter. By volunteering as a Digital Content & Social Media Creator, you'll play an important role in raising awareness of maternal mental health and ensuring more mums and families know that support is available when they need it most.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Volunteer to help strengthen our digital presence and raise awareness of the Helen Bamber Foundation's work and the issues we advocate for.

This role will play an important part in shaping our social media presence, particularly on Instagram, helping to develop engaging visual content, Reels, and other short-form video formats. We are seeking someone with a strong eye for design and visual storytelling, an understanding of branding and the importance of consistency, and a passion for human rights, asylum, migration, and trauma-informed practice.

Working closely with the Communications Manager, you will help generate ideas, create and schedule content, contribute to campaigning and marketing, and support the monitoring and evaluation of content performance to help grow our reach and engagement.

MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

• Support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging social media content across the Helen Bamber Foundation Group's channels, with a particular focus on Instagram.
• Design high-quality graphics, carousels, stories, and other visual assets that align with the Foundation's brand guidelines and communications objectives.
• Create and edit Reels and other short-form video content to increase audience engagement and communicate key messages in accessible and creative ways.
• Generate content ideas and contribute to the development of campaigns, awareness days, fundraising activities and advocacy initiatives.
• Help develop and refine visual templates, formats and design approaches for Instagram, ensuring strong branding and visual consistency.
• Identify opportunities to repurpose existing content, including reports, research papers, case studies, blogs, media coverage, and impact/annual reports into compelling social media posts.
• Assist with content scheduling and maintaining a social media content calendar to ensure a consistent and timely online presence.
• Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats and suggest new approaches to enhance engagement and reach.
• Help ensure all content is accessible, inclusive, and reflects the Foundation's values and trauma-informed approach to communications.
• Assist in tracking and reporting on social media performance, including engagement, reach, follower growth, and content effectiveness, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with the Communications Manager to support Ambassadors for Change, a group of campaigners at the charity with lived experience of the asylum system, to use our social media channels, where appropriate, to promote their campaigns.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Essential:

• Experience creating social media content for personal, academic, voluntary, or professional projects.
• Strong interest in human rights, social justice, refugee rights or the charity sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively and respond constructively to feedback.
• Proficient in using Canva and/or design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to plan, script, produce, edit reels and short-form video content.
• Good understanding of social media trends, visual branding and tone of voice, as well as the different styles, audiences and content requirements of various social media platforms, with the ability to adapt content accordingly.
• Ability to generate creative content ideas that respond to current affairs, news cycles, awareness days and relevant social media trends.
• Organised, dependable, and proactive in meeting deadlines
• Understanding of, and commitment to, the objectives of the Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid.
• Demonstrable empathy for our clients, including people seeking asylum, refugees and survivors of torture and trafficking, and sensitivity when working on topics related to human rights, trauma, or lived experience.

Desirable:

•  Experience working with charities, non-profits, or campaigning organisations.
