Learn Together CIC is looking for volunteer journalists to support Together Media, our media and public-interest storytelling project.

Volunteers may help research stories, prepare scripts, write articles, support interviews, fact-check information, and contribute ideas for content around news, politics, social issues, culture, and community stories.

This role is suitable for anyone interested in journalism, media, writing, research, public affairs, or digital storytelling. No professional experience is required, but strong communication, curiosity, reliability, and an interest in responsible reporting are important.

Cambridge Nightline is a confidential and anonymous listening service run by students, for students.  We have been providing peer-to-peer support to students at the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University for over 50 years.  We offer support via telephone and instant messaging (IM), and open at night when other support services are often closed.

Cambridge Nightline has recently appointed a Board of Trustees, and is working towards becoming a registered charity.  Our aim as Trustees is to provide oversight and guidance to the student Executive Committee, whilst supporting them as much as possible to continue to lead the direction of the service.

We are now seeking a voluntary Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees.

Role of Treasurer of the Board

The Treasurer of the Board of Trustees will take the lead at board level in assuming responsibility for the financial oversight of Cambridge Nightline.  You will work alongside the Board of Trustees and student Executive Committee in reviewing the organisation’s financial performance to ensure its finances are managed responsibly, in accordance with the objects of the organisation and with legal requirements.

The Treasurer of the Board will work closely with the Student Treasurer to oversee the budget and financial administration, and to ensure the sustainability of the organisation’s funding and reserves.  As Cambridge Nightline works towards becoming a registered charity, you will provide advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees to ensure financial compliance with charity law.

The Rio Cinema is looking to appoint up to four trustees, including a Treasurer, to complement its existing board.

The Rio Cinema is one of London’s most iconic independent cultural landmarks and the UK’s oldest cinema, operating continuously on the same site since 1909. As we mark our 50th anniversary of being named the Rio and operating as an independent charity (charity no. 277415) run by and for the community, we are looking to appoint up to four new trustees, including a Treasurer, to our board to help steward our legacy and ensure the future sustainability of the Rio for the next 50 years.

We are particularly interested in recruiting trustees with the following backgrounds:

• Finance & Accounting: We are specifically seeking a Treasurer who is a finance professional (ideally a qualified accountant or CFO) to provide high-level oversight of our financial health, statutory reporting, and long-term resilience (see here for a more detailed role description).
  
   
• Property & Capital Projects: We’re looking to undertake a number of capital projects on our Grade II-listed building over the next several years and we are seeking a trustee with experience in property development or managing large-scale renovation/restoration projects. Experience with heritage/listed buildings is a plus, but not a requirement.
  
   
• Fundraising: We are seeking a trustee with a proven track record in securing philanthropic income, corporate partnerships, and public grants within the cultural sector. Experience navigating major funding bodies (such as the BFI, Arts Council England or the National Lottery Heritage Fund), cultivating individual donors, trusts and foundations, or leading capital campaign strategies is very desirable.
  
   
• Legal: We are looking for a trustee with a legal background to act as a sounding board for the board and management. You do not need to be a practising expert in charity law, but your general legal knowledge and analytical mindset will help us evaluate risk, sense-check decisions, and ensure good corporate governance across our operations and upcoming projects (see here for a more detailed role description). 

• Term: 3 years (renewable once)

Screen Share is the leading refugee digital inclusion charity in the UK. Our mission is to ensure every refugee in the UK has a connected device and the skills to use it to achieve their goals. 

We currently support 2000 clients a year with devices, internet connectivity and digital skills training and volunteering opportunities. 

The organisation is entering a key period of growth. Having professionalised successfully in 2025, we are launching an ambitious 5-year strategy to significantly scale our programmes across the UK. 

This represents a critical moment in our journey as a young organisation. As we deepen our impact and pursue financial sustainability, we are looking to onboard 3 new trustees to add significant governance experience in key areas. 

Trustee: Charity Trading and Commercialisation 

Our fundraising strategy prioritises corporate and trading income. That strategy is complemented by our trading income strategy, which seeks to invest in traded services which support our mission, including digital inclusion services, IT Repair, IT Leasing and IT Asset Disposal. We have good experience in these areas and are looking for a trustee to oversee and significantly contribute to decision-making regarding when and how to enter these markets. The postholder will ideally be a current or former leader of a social enterprise or charity that trades, who can provide the board with the expertise it needs to make informed decisions. This trustee will bring relevant insight on sustainable income diversification and fundraising strategy. 

Trustee: Digital Governance 

We handle sensitive client data, and act as a processor for sanitising donated devices. This creates significant cybersecurity, data protection responsibilities. We have a cybersecurity strategy, dedicated staff time and also receive pro-bono support to discharge those responsibilities effectively, but we need a trustee with expertise to provide genuine oversight in this area and represent the position at board level. Strong candidates will bring expertise in data governance, cybersecurity policy or digital risk management. We would particularly welcome candidates who bring expertise in digital inclusion alongside this. 

Trustee: Safeguarding 

As we scale up across the UK, we are making the intentional decision to deepen our relationship with our clients. We work with some of the most vulnerable people in the UK, so our board needs to be confident that we are providing proper oversight of how we keep them safe in the context of support. We are looking for a trustee with governance-level safeguarding experience who understands safeguarding frameworks and legislation, can scrutinise our policies and procedures, and hold our staff team to account in this area. This trustee will lead our Safeguarding sub-committee.

Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF) is London's leading festival of free outdoor theatre and performing arts. Each year, more than 100 volunteers help bring the festival to life, welcoming audiences, supporting events, and creating an unforgettable experience across South East London. 

The festival runs from 21 August - 6 September 2026. 

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to play a vital role in delivering the festival. Access Champions are volunteers who work with the access team to support audiences with access requirements to enjoy the festival. 

Access Team Leader 
Lead a team of Access Champions at events, providing support and guidance while acting as a key link between volunteers and GDIF's Access Managers to help deliver an accessible and inclusive festival experience.

Social Media Content Creator

Mountain Rescue England and Wales, Media and Communicatios, is on the lookout for innovative and creative volunteer Social Media Content Creators. These individuals will play a key role in enhancing our digital presence across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The responsibilities will focus on producing engaging visual and written content that resonates with our target audiences.

Communications serve as a vital support function for Mountain Rescue, aiding our operational efforts to help individuals make better-informed choices that enhance their safety and lessen the demand on our teams.

All roles are home based and will require around 2 to 4 hours per week. No prior Mountain Rescue skills are required for these roles and there will be opportunity to visit Mountain Rescue bases to become familiar with what we do. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the safety of those exploring the hills and mountains.

Primary Responsibilities

• Content Production: Film, photograph, and edit high-quality content specifically optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social channels
• Trend Mastery: Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm updates, and viral meme culture, integrating them into the brand's social strategy. This will be supported by a new partnership that MREW will up sign up to “Social Media Management and Social Listening”
• Copywriting & Publishing: Write catchy, engaging captions and manage the scheduling and distribution of daily posts.
• Analytics & Optimization: Track key performance metrics (views, shares, engagement) and use data to refine and improve future content.
• Community Engagement: Respond to comments, interact with followers, and monitor social conversations to build an authentic, active community.

As workshop facilitator, you will need to:

Availability: Workshops will run during the day on school holiday dates, on Saturdays or in the evening (5pm-8pm).

Rate of pay: This is a self-employed role. You must be aged 18 or above. Facilitator sessions range from 2 to 6 hours. The rate of pay will vary based on the budget of the funder.

The Gender and Development Network (GADN) brings together expert NGOs, consultants, academics and individuals committed to working on gender, development and women’s rights issues.

GADN is currently advertising for two Membership Communications Volunteers to support our Secretariat. These roles would be suitable for those with a passion for international development and women’s rights and an interest in communications and membership admin.

Rather than writing grant applications entirely from scratch, you'll help organize existing materials, create boilerplate templates, compile information for proposals, and support the development of strong funding applications.

LiberArte applies for grants to support our own programs and operations while also helping artists and cultural leaders identify and pursue funding opportunities for their creative and community-based projects.
