Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of our partners at MINDSET.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT VOLUNTEER (MINDSET Charity)

Shape the Training. Shape the Standards. Shape the Future.

MINDSET is a bold new preventative mental‑fitness charity for teenage boys and men in London — launching this November. We’re building a modern, high‑energy, stigma‑free space where men learn the habits, systems, and psychological tools to stay strong long before crisis hits.

To make this mission real, we need a Training & Development Volunteer who can help us build the backbone of our organisation: the training systems that prepare every volunteer to deliver our programmes safely, confidently, and with impact.

If you’re passionate about coaching, personal development, and empowering others to grow — this is your moment.

THE ROLE: TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT VOLUNTEER (Volunteer) - HYBRID

We’re looking for someone who can design and deliver simple, effective, modern training experiences for our volunteer team. You’ll help create the learning culture that defines MINDSET — energetic, practical, stigma‑free, and focused on real‑world skills.

You’ll lead on:

  • Designing micro‑training modules for new volunteers (Motivational Interviewing basics, boundaries, communication, safeguarding awareness).

  • Creating onboarding training sessions that feel modern, inspiring, and easy to follow.

  • Developing short digital learning resources (slides, guides, videos, checklists).

  • Supporting volunteers as they learn our 12‑week Mental Fitness Programme.

  • Helping build a culture of growth, confidence, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensuring volunteers understand the difference between coaching and therapy.

  • Embedding the MINDSET ethos into every training experience.

Your work will directly shape how every volunteer shows up — how they coach, how they communicate, how they support boys and men through our programme.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Loves breaking down ideas into simple, practical steps.

  • Has experience in coaching, personal development, youth work, or training.

  • Enjoys creating engaging learning materials.

  • Can bring energy and positivity into group sessions.

  • Understands the importance of boundaries and safe practice.

  • Wants to help build a charity from the ground up.

  • Can commit a few hours a week between now and November.

If you’re the kind of person who naturally lifts others up and helps them perform at their best, you’ll thrive here.

WHY JOIN MINDSET?

1. Because you’ll shape how every volunteer learns and grows.

Your training will define the quality, confidence, and impact of our entire team.

2. Because our culture is modern, bold, and inspiring.

Think Gymshark, Huel, MyProtein — not a traditional charity training manual.

3. Because your work will change lives.

Every volunteer you train will help boys and men build habits that keep them strong.

4. Because you’ll be part of a founding team.

Your training systems will influence how MINDSET grows for years to come.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • Real experience designing training for a fast‑moving charity start‑up.

  • A chance to shape the learning culture of a brand‑new organisation.

  • A supportive, passionate team who value your ideas.

  • Flexible volunteering you can fit around your life.

  • The satisfaction of knowing your work is helping prevent silent suffering.

JOIN US.

HELP US TRAIN THE TEAM THAT BUILDS THE MOVEMENT.

If you’re ready to create training that empowers, inspires, and transforms, we’d love to hear from you.
