Job description

Become a Volunteer with DAiSY FEST

Help us create a warm, welcoming and inclusive arts festival led by disabled and neurodivergent artists.

What is DAiSY FEST?

DAiSY FEST is an inclusive arts festival in Surrey championing the work of disabled and neurodivergent artists. The festival brings together performances, exhibitions, workshops and conversations, with accessibility and welcome at its heart.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers who are happy talking to visitors and helping them feel at ease. You don’t need previous experience of festivals or the arts – just a positive attitude and a willingness to support others.

This could be for you if you:

  • Enjoy meeting and talking to new people.
  • Are comfortable giving simple information and directions.
  • Care about inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities.
  • Can stay calm and kind in a busy environment.

What volunteers do

Volunteer tasks may include:

  • Welcoming visitors and artists as they arrive.
  • Answering basic questions and signposting people around the venue.
  • Supporting access needs where appropriate (for example, guiding to lifts or quieter spaces).
  • Helping audiences find their seats or activity spaces.
  • Feeding back anything that would help us make the festival even more accessible.

What you’ll get

  • Induction and on-the-day support from the DAiSY team.
  • A chance to develop confidence, communication and event skills.
  • Experience of working within disability and inclusive arts.
  • Reimbursement of agreed travel expenses in line with our policy.

Let us know any access requirements you have so we can support you to volunteer.

This role is advertised as part of TPP's Free Giving Back Services. This volunteer advertisement copy has been supplied to TPP and applicants apply direct to the organisation. Please contact the organisation directly if you have any questions about this volunteer role.
