We are a friendly group of birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts who are passionate about nature and its conservation.

Database Coordinator role spec: We are looking to recruit a well-organised and practical Database Coordinator who can manage our Salesforce database. You must have sufficient knowledge of Salesforce, this is not a training opportunity and we will be relying on your expertise to manage the workload. 

Key tasks include:  

• Maintain our existing Salesforce database; cleansing and uploading data, managing integrations, overseeing dashboards, creating reports as needed, managing apps

The role is flexible and may be altered to suit both the needs of the organisation and the skills of the candidate. You will be responsible for planning of your work and may involve working with a team of volunteers. An induction will be provided, with continual guidance from a member of the team.

Harrow Food Bank is part of the Trussell Trust - a network of over 1300 food bank centres in the UK. Between April 2022 and March 2023, food banks provided almost 3 million food supplies to people in crisis. 

Harrow Food Bank requires two Trustees to support the Chair and current members who can support the existing Trustees:

The new role of Community Engagement Volunteer (CEV) will be at the centre of Jigsaw South East’s plans for the future.

We want to ensure that we increase our reach across our recently defined catchment and are able to support the children, young people and families who need our vital support.

The role of CEV will therefore assist with the following key areas:

• Presenting to schools, businesses and organisations across our local communities about our work and how we raise funds;
• Building recognition and awareness of our name and what we do;
• Assisting our Support Team to engage with Community Palliative Teams, Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams (particularly Cancer and Neurological Teams) and GP Surgeries to help us increase referrals to our service;
• Engaging with disadvantaged communities across our catchment who may be currently unaware of our support - we would like to focus on two areas (Crawley and Woking) and look to role out and recruit for other areas our service covers in the future (dependent on funding).

We will provide you with all of the information and training you need and you will join a vibrant and committed group of volunteers ensuring that children and young people across our communities will not be alone during their bereavement journey.

In this shared role, each officer  will work closely together to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to recruit volunteer tutors. The goal is to recruit and retain a pool of at least 200 retired teachers who can dedicate 4 hours to one-on-one and small group tutoring in English, Maths, Science, and/or French for children and young people aged 5-18. These tutorials will be conducted both in person (in Southwark schools) and online. The professionals will be responsible for recruiting, training, supporting, and retaining volunteer tutors to help reduce the education gap and raise the aspirations of underprivileged children and young people.

Detailed Tasks:

1. Volunteer Tutor Recruitment Strategy Document (Candidates 1 & 2):

· Collaborate with the charity Director to write a robust volunteer tutor recruitment strategy document.

· Discuss and refine the strategy document with Candidate 2.

· Manage all stages of the recruitment process for volunteer tutors, including advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

· Design a training programme for volunteer tutors.

· Collaborate with Candidate 4 to align the training programme with the recruitment strategy and volunteer management system.

HBC offers online English classes using Zoom on Wednesdays and Fridays 10am-1pm UK time. Classes run for about 45 minutes, offering L0- literacy, L1-Beginner, L2- Elementary and L3- Intermediate. Purpose of the Role

 This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering a range of services across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. We support clients with mental health with both clinical and non-clinical interventions.

The volunteer will onboard, induct, and provide ongoing support for the volunteers and provide oversight of the relationship volunteers have with the service users we work with.

Main Responsibilities

To work closely with the HFEH Mind team and service managers and support the services with volunteer recruitment, supervision and retention.

Tasks

• Work with the service managers and central support team to support the journey and retention of volunteers.
• Provide volunteers with 1:1s or group support on a monthly basis.
• Support Director of Adult Services to administer reflective practice sessions.
• Work with the service managers and central support to log and administer volunteer availability, and resolve any volunteering related issues or complaints.
• Encourage people to volunteer through a variety of local marketing and promotion approaches, including social media and engage with our Head of Well at Work to develop a marketing and communications strategy for volunteers.
• Develop, coordinate and engage a network of around 30 active volunteers for the service.
• Induct new volunteers.
• Work effectively to ensure local volunteers feel valued and are contributing to the objectives of HFEH Mind.
• Support the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our services.
• Gather volunteer feedback and take appropriate steps for service improvement.
