ATSF is looking to recruit a new member to its board of trustees from the educational field.
Organisation background
The Foundation is an unincorporated registered charity that is currently going through a period of transition. It has existed in different forms for more than three centuries and was established to teach practical and academic skills to equip “poor boys for trades or university”. The Trustees are now examining how to deliver the best educational outcomes for young people in Greater London.
Required skills and experience
Educational Trustee – an applicant should have an understanding of education within Greater London. A background in educational funding and an ability to identify areas of educational need would be an advantage.
Role requirements
Trustees are appointed for an initial term of four years. They are expected to attend trustee meetings which are currently held every two to three months, sometimes online and sometimes in person - most commonly online at 4pm.
Trustees are also expected to contribute to the occasional email request or discussion.
It is hoped that a suitable educational trustee would have capacity to take on some liaison responsibilities with potential Church of England grantee schools and other stakeholders.
This is a voluntary unpaid role but out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
