Who we are:
ARFID Awareness UK are the UK’s only charity dedicated to raising awareness and furthering information about Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). A not-for-profit; we work to provide individuals, parents and medical professionals with up-to-date relevant information, research and support.
Role Description:
The Administration Assistant will:
· Ensure confidentiality of all paper and electronic records, complying with ARFID Awareness UK policies.
· Take the lead in responding to email queries from parents, carers, adults living with ARFID and medical professionals sent to ARFID Awareness UK.
· Checking and prioritising queries to ARFID Awareness UK through our Facebook site, Instagram and direct email.
· Assessing and escalating any queries that are deemed urgent or critical.
· Responding to requests for fundraising support
· Managing the fulfilment of orders placed to the ARFID Awareness UK online shop including ARIFD Awareness cards and charity merchandise for fundraising events.
· Liaising with external Trusts and key stakeholders regarding requests for meetings, ARFID Awareness collateral and attendance at conferences.
· Ordering and printing resources.
· Take and circulate minutes at meetings as required
· Work as part of the team to monitor outcomes and seek feedback to continually improve the service.

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people, their families, carers, community groups, partner agencies and stakeholders;
· Able to work with people from all backgrounds and communities, respecting lifestyles and diversity;
· Ability to organise, plan and prioritise on own initiative, including when under pressure and meeting deadlines;
· Knowledge of and ability to work within policies and procedures, including for confidentiality, safeguarding, lone working, information governance, and health and safety
· Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
· Ability to deal with queries in a diplomatic, professional and confidential manner.
· Qualifications & Training
· Educated to A level or equivalent by experience.
· IT literate. Proven ability to use email, word processing and spread sheet packages effectively
Experience
· Experience of working in the voluntary sector desirable but not essential.
· Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
· Experience of delivering high quality services to the public.
· Prior knowledge of Wix desirable but not essential
· Able to plan own workload.
· Able to complete written records
