Role Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help with canvassing in local masjids across Bolton. Volunteers will play a key role in promoting our events and initiatives, distributing leaflets, and engaging with community members in a friendly and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute promotional materials and leaflets at local masjids after Jummah prayers.
- Engage with community members in a polite and informative manner.
- Help answer basic questions about our events and initiatives.
- Report back on feedback or observations from the community.
Person Specification:
- Friendly, approachable, and respectful of all community members.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Comfortable visiting local masjids and speaking with the public.
- Previous volunteer or community engagement experience is desirable but not essential.
Commitment:
- Flexible shifts, primarily on Fridays after Jummah prayers.
- Unpaid role, but full support and training will be provided.
