Trustees - Buxton Opera House
We are looking to appoint two new Trustees to join the Board to help take forward the Opera House as it enters an exciting new phase of development.
What will you be doing?
The iconic Buxton Opera House is a 1903 heritage theatre with a twenty-first century vision. It sits at the heart of the region’s cultural offer with an artistic programme appealing to all ages and tastes. It has an extensive award-winning learning and engagement programme, which is an incubator of young talent, nurturing and inspiring young people to discover their potential.
We are looking to appoint two new Trustees to join the Board to help take forward the Opera House as it enters an exciting new phase of development. What difference will you make?
The Trustees (Non-Executive Directors) provide strategic and independent judgement on matters of performance, resources and standards of conduct within the High Peak Theatre. By providing a creative contribution to the Chair and the Board, they support the company’s objectives with their specialist knowledge and insight into the broader industry whilst lobbying effectively for the resources necessary.
The Non-Executive also provides general counsel to the Chief Executive and the Senior Management team at a strategic level whilst maintaining objectivity and supporting delivery.
