Volunteer Group Worker

We are looking for dedicated and reliable volunteers to help run our community toy library sessions across the City of Portsmouth. We hold 11 stay and play sessions for children aged 0-5 every week, during term time, in a range of locations across the city. Volunteer at 1 or multiple sessions, it's entirely up to you, any time you can donate is invaluable to us. 

Duties

Help set up and run stay and play groups. Help set up the session with relevant toys, craft and refreshments. Greet children and carers on arrival, make them feel welcome, sign them in and collect fees. Provide snack and drink to the children at snack time. Provide carers with a drink and a friendly ear. If comfortable, sing nursery rhymes with actions towards the end of the session. Help pack away at the end of the session. Enhanced DBS required (at no cost to you.) Must be organised, reliable, and committed. Connors Toy Library relies heavily on its volunteers to function and we value them greatly. Training will be provided by staff and fellow volunteers. Bring your own children aged 0-5 with you to the group/s you volunteer at for free!
