Job description
We are looking for a keen gardener to volunteer alongside the people we support to manage our garden, learn a range of gardening skills and develop a love for gardening!
Activities will include:
- Developing and maintaining a very large garden to make it an enjoyable space for everyone to enjoy
- Helping the people we support to take part in gardening activities and learning new skills
- Building friendships with the people we support and encouraging involvement \d in the garden environment.
- Helping with ideas for adaptations to make the garden easily accessible for all
We're looking for someone who:
- Has good gardening skills and knowledge
- Friendly and a good listener
- Reliable/dependable
- Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism
- Willing to commit to volunteer regularly
A DBS check and two character references will be required.
What you’ll gain from being a Dimensions volunteer:
