Dose of Nature is a mental health charity dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. We are pleased to be recruiting three trustees to expand our board at this pivotal and exciting point in the evolution of the organisation.
About Dose of Nature
Our work is grounded in a strong and growing body of scientific evidence demonstrating the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred directly by their GP with a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress and addiction. Our individual ten-week programme offers a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions, and one that is effective, sustainable, and accessible to all. Through a combination of psychoeducation, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we help people develop a greater connection with nature and inspire lifestyle changes that have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing.
