Front of House Assistant

Be part of the fright! Volunteer at the Edinburgh Horror Festival’s 10th year (23–29 Oct 2025). As Front of House, you’ll help with tickets & audiences while enjoying free shows, treats, and perks at Scotland’s Most Haunted Pub — The Banshee Labyrinth!

No FOH experience? No problem, we will provide training.

What you’ll do:
• Assist with changeovers between shows (reset seating, clear spaces).
• Check tickets, greet audiences, and guide them to seats.
• Manage doors during performances to minimise disruption.
• Answer questions and point audiences to online or box office tickets.
• Support performers and the organising team.

What you'll be:
• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable talking to the public.
• Reliable and punctual, with good attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic about live performance and the festival atmosphere.
• Comfortable working in a busy, lively environment.

The perks:
Every volunteer receives a T-shirt, badges, stickers, Hallowe’en treats, free show entry, complimentary soft drinks while on duty, and a lifetime membership card for alcoholic drinks at the Banshee Labyrinth (when off duty).

Tues 28th October: 19:15 - 21:35
Wed 29th October: 19:15 – 21:05

Induction:
Sunday 19th October, 16:00 – 18:00 at Banshee Labyrinth, 29-35 Niddry St, Edinburgh, EH1 1LG.

This essential session will cover fire procedures, emergency exits, and introduce you to the team, venue staff, and fellow volunteers. You’ll also receive training on the ticket-checking technology during this session.
