Our playground kiosk is an essential part of the trading team at WWT and provides a much-needed break space for our visitors during a fun day out. By being the friendly face behind the kiosk and providing excellent customer service, you can help make a family’s day go from good to brilliant.
Not only will you helping families, by making the kiosk to run as smoothly and as safely as possible, you will be creating an area where visitors can spend money. Every ice-cream or drink sold generates much needed income for WWT that goes straight into our world leading wetland conservation.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is looking for three members of the Commercial and Partnerships Advisory Committee.
The Commercial and Partnerships Advisory Committee is to provide guidance and make recommendations to the Council or Executive Board on matters pertaining to commercial and partnership opportunities and activity, approach to safeguards and controls for partnership working, and advises them on commercial strategies and performance. The RSPB strategy recognises the importance of partnership in order to maximise the impact it can have. Similarly, commercial activities are key opportunities for the RSPB as we seek to grow and diversify our income.
In addition to making an important contribution to the work of the RSPB, through shaping its strategy and direction and influencing key decisions affecting its delivery of conservation outcomes, participating in an advisory committee can provide excellent networking opportunities, an opportunity to acquire practical experience of committee functions, decision-making process and further development of leadership skills, knowledge, and experience.
About you
We are looking for individuals with relevant experience to join our committees to provide independent, objective, challenging advice to support the Executive Board and Trustees in developing, shaping and implementing of RSPB strategies.
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience across one or more of the following areas:
1. Experience in building successful partnerships to further impact and setting common goals and outcomes.
2. Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies that identify new income opportunities that help diversity the existing portfolio.
3. Experience in dealing with innovative financial products and how to take them to market.
4. Some prior involvement in the not-for-profit sector would be an advantage but not a requirement.
5. Leadership in setting up monitoring systems and KPIs for determining the effectiveness and success of these partnerships and commercial income stream.

- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with our organization’s mission and goals; maintain a comprehensive understanding of the grant landscape, including federal, state, local, and private funding sources; develop strategies to secure funding from various grant programs; prepare and submit grant applications in a timely manner; collaborate with team members to gather necessary information for grant applications; and, monitor and manage grant applications, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Trustees are elected for a period of three years, with up to two further periods subject to re-election. This year we will are looking to recruit a maximum of five Trustees (some of whom may be current Trustees seeking re-election). Agriculture is the primary source of income and food security for over 80% of the population in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo). Unfortunately, farmers in this region face numerous challenges that significantly hinder their productivity and overall well-being. These challenges include limited access to important information, inadequate storage infrastructure, transportation limitations, insufficient financial assistance, reliance on rainfall, and a lack of opportunities for training and skill development. As a result, over 7.7 million people in the DR Congo are currently struggling with severe food insecurity.
Our organization is fully committed to supporting farmers by providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to enhance their productivity and meet the highest standards of quality.One of the primary focuses of our program is to offer farmers comprehensive training on the most effective agricultural practices. This encompasses guidance on soil management, efficient water utilization, integrated pest and disease control, and responsible use of chemicals. Moreover, we provide training on sustainable production techniques, such as organic farming and permaculture, to minimize environmental impact and safeguard natural resources.

What we do
We help everyone use parks and their transformative health and wellbeing benefits. DEFRA estimates that if everyone spent time in parks, the NHS could save £2.1 billion a year, however often the people who could benefit most from using parks, do not.
We work with under-served communities to help them spend time in green space and we support small groups and community organisations to do the same. From supporting people with complex mental health needs to connect with nature and build community, to identifying and removing physical barriers to park access, we work to make sure parks fulfil their potential as free to use, community assets.
The role
As a Trustee with a fundraising background, you will take the lead at board level, whilst ensuring that the collective responsibility of the Trustees for the oversight and support of fundraising goals and activities.
The main responsibilities of a Trustee is to:
- oversee the strategic direction of the charity as it scales to meet demand, and support the CEO in managing this growth;
- use their expertise to help guide the process;
- ensure the organisation works within the law and in line with its governing document and policies;
- keep informed about the activities of the charity in order to maintain effective oversight;
- take a financial overview and ensure that the organisation’s finances are adequate and responsibly managed;
- promote the work and safeguard the reputation of Your Park Bristol and Bath.
Skills and experience needed
You do not need to have prior experience of being a Trustee or experience working with boards. We will provide training to fully induct you into the role and you will be buddied up with one of our longer standing trustees to support you in your first six months.
We are primarily looking for fundraising professionals who are passionate about the potential of Bristol and Bath’s parks and want to help everyone experience their benefits.
We’re particularly interested in receiving applications from people who are from ethnically diverse backgrounds, Disabled people, unpaid carers, or people from low-income households.
