Volunteer Drivers Needed or companisionship – GARAS (Gloucester)
Supporting Asylum Seekers and Refugees in the Local Community
At GARAS, some of our clients need extra support to attend important appointments, such as interviews, doctor visits, or meetings at unfamiliar locations. We are currently looking for compassionate and reliable volunteer transport worker to help with these transportation needs.
What the role involves:

Accompanying clients to appointments

Meeting clients at bus stops or transport hubs

Using your own car to help clients access key services
Requirements:

A full driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle

Willingness to obtain business car insurance (GARAS can support with costs)

A DBS check (provided and arranged by GARAS)

A kind, respectful and non-judgmental approach
What we offer:

Full support and guidance from the GARAS team

Reimbursement of travel expenses at 45p per mile (petrol/diesel)

Any necessary costs related to insurance upgrades will be supported
Location: Gloucester and surrounding areas
Time commitment: Flexible – based on your availability and client need
