Trustee x 2 positions
Help shape the future of a leading national charity
GrantScape is seeking to appoint two new Trustees to join and strengthen our Board. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain or further develop board-level experience while contributing to the governance of a respected and well-established charity.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in:
- Marketing
- Communications
- Human Resources
Experience within, or connections to, the renewable energy sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
About GrantScape
GrantScape is a highly respected charity specialising in the administration and management of Community Benefit Funds (CBFs). Since 1997, we have established ourselves as a leading provider of grant-making services, delivering high-quality, cost-effective programmes on behalf of our partners.
We work with major renewable energy developers, including wind and solar farm operators, as well as landfill operators through the Landfill Communities Fund. As one of the UK's largest grant-makers, we help direct funding to projects that deliver meaningful benefits to communities, the environment and education.
The Role
As a Trustee, you will play a key role in the governance and strategic direction of the charity. Working alongside fellow Board members, you will help ensure that more than £7 million of funding is distributed each year to the most deserving projects across England, Wales and Scotland.
This is an opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise while supporting a charity with a strong reputation for good governance and community impact.
Time Commitment
The Board meets four times each year:
- Two meetings are usually held virtually.
- Two meetings are held in person at our head office in Milton Keynes.
Trustees are also expected to participate in monthly grant decision-making by email between Board meetings.
Applicants must be based in the UK.
Remuneration
The role is voluntary and unpaid. However, reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with GrantScape's Expenses Policy.
