Who We Are
Castel Froma Neuro Care is an award-winning registered charity and company providing person-centred nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and long-term care for adults with brain injuries and neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and Motor Neurone Disease across our two specialist centres in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
The Role – Trustee
Trustees play a vital role in ensuring Castel Froma Neuro Care is well-governed, financially sustainable and focused on its charitable purpose.
Working collectively as part of the Board, Trustees are responsible for:
· Setting and overseeing the charity’s strategic direction, mission and values
· Ensuring high standards of governance, accountability and ethical leadership
· Safeguarding the charity’s reputation, assets and long-term sustainability
· Ensuring the charity continues to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of residents and families
· Ensure the charity complies with charity law requirements and other laws that apply to your charity
Trustees are not involved in day-to-day operations, but provide strategic oversight, scrutiny and guidance, acting at all times in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
Please note that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for this role.
Our Associate Trustee Induction Model
We recognise that becoming a trustee is a significant responsibility and are committed to supporting new Trustees to succeed.
All new Trustees therefore begin in an Associate Trustee role as part of a structured and supportive induction process. This allows individuals to gain insight and confidence before taking on full legal responsibilities.
As an Associate Trustee, you will:
· Attend Board and Committee meetings in a non-voting capacity
· Receive a structured induction covering governance, legal duties, strategy, finance and our services
· Be paired with an experienced Trustee buddy for mentoring and support
· Have time to understand the charity, its culture and expectations of the role
Following this induction period, Associate Trustees will be invited to take up full trustee responsibilities, subject to mutual agreement.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with:
✔ A strategic mindset and good independent judgement
✔ Experience in one or more of the following areas: finance/business development, information technology, clinical/health/social care, organisational governance, business development, commissioning, or lived experience of neurological conditions (including as a carer)
✔ Creativity, critical thinking and willingness to contribute to board decisions

Time Commitment
· Four Board meetings per year (flexible meeting times depending on boards members)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: MEDICAL DOCTORS NEEDED
Global Health Reform Initiative (GHRI) is a humanitarian health organization dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare for underserved and vulnerable communities through telemedicine.
We are currently seeking licensed medical doctors to volunteer with our telemedicine program, providing remote medical consultations and professional medical guidance to patients across different regions.
This role is 100% remote and flexible.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide virtual medical consultations via GHRI’s telemedicine platform
Offer professional medical advice for mild to moderate health conditions

Role summary
To participate as a member of the Maintenance Team covering general maintenance, domestic and health and safety duties. A good level of fitness is required for this role.
Main duties of the role

Role summary
To participate as a member of the Catering Team involved in the provision of care to the patients, families and staff. Work alongside both the nursing and catering staff ensuring good communication and liaise between these areas. As this role will involve close contact with Hospice patients, an enhanced adult and child DBS check will need to be carried out before a start date can be offered.
Main duties of the role
• Wear appropriate clothing, enclosed shoes, supplied apron and identification badge.
• No jewellery other than a wedding band.
• Collect copy of daily bulletin from Ward Reception.
• Report to the Cook-in-Charge.
• Ensure that Hygiene, Health and Safety, and Fire Regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Be flexible and aware of the needs of the service and assist as appropriate.
• Serve refreshments and meals to patients, visitors and staff.
• Prepare dining room for appropriate meals.
• Be prepared to help in the washing up of cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils.
• Take the drinks/alcohol trolley round to serve to patients following instruction from clinical staff as to who may be offered drinks.
• Be prepared to collect provisions from local stores if necessary.
• Be willing to assist a patient with food.
• Agree break time with the Duty Cook.
• Ensure area around beds is kept tidy and hazard free by removing crockery food trays as appropriate. (This is particularly important in order to maintain a safe environment and maintaining infection control for patients at all times).
• Maintain confidentiality and data protection at all times.

As Chair of PatientsVoices@RCoA, you will lead a diverse group of volunteers and champion meaningful patient involvement across a wide range of workstreams. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the quality-of-care patients receive in the NHS and other healthcare settings.
As Chair of PatientsVoices@RCoA you will:
- Champion the work of the group and raise the profile of the patient voice across the College.
- Encourage participation and engagement within the group.
- Work with College staff and Committee Chairs to deliver impactful patient engagement where most needed.
- Be an ambassador with external partners and stakeholder organisations.
- Chair the meetings of PatientsVoices@RCoA three times a year and the away day once a year.
- Be co-opted to College Council and report to Council on behalf of PatientsVoices@RCoA.
- Attend and report to the Clinical Quality and Research Board on behalf of PatientsVoices@RCoA.
- Represent PatientsVoices@RCoA at the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges’ Patient Liaison Group.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of leading a group and working with a diverse range of people and views.
- Experience of chairing committees and meetings and leading discussions so that every voice is heard.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Passion about strengthening the patient voice in the work of the College.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- The ability to use basic IT systems (e.g. email, Word, Teams etc.).
- The ability to commit an average of four days per month to the role.
- Flexibility and responsiveness to a varied workload and schedule.

- You cannot join PatientsVoices@RCoA if you hold an anaesthetic qualification.
- You cannot currently be working, practising or managing services in healthcare (including policy making).

We are looking for volunteers to assist our Shop Managers in our brand new shop in Hemel Hempstead
Key Volunteer Activities:
- Assisting with the donations of stock, by sorting and steaming and preparing for shop floor
- Maintaining good stock rotation and levels at all times
- Helping with visual merchandising when needed
- Greeting customers in a friendly and approachable manner
- Understanding the Charities key standards and Values
- Becoming familiar with our Health and Safety Policies and being able to convey these to other volunteers
- Assisting the Shop Manager on daily tasks such as banking and stock takes, recycling and shop rotas
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work place which encourages a happy environment to work in
- Commitment to being part of a regular rota
- Giving any other assistance in relation to the smooth running of the shop as may requested by the Shop Manager
- We also have some specialist retail volunteering roles in our shops and warehouse e.g. helping with e-commerce
- Our shifts are 4 hours but we have a flexible approach so can work around the hours available to you. Regular sign-up to the rota is appreciated. However, ideally we would like you be able to cover 2 or 3 shifts a week

Alfriston Outreach Service is dedicated to helping older and vulnerable people in Kingston. We provide services such as Hot Lunch delivery, Shopping, and Laundry delivered into people’s homes, with our aim to support older people to remain independent in their own homes.

Mind in Kingston supports people with mental health issues and raises awareness within Kingston and surrounding areas. We provide training, supervision, and opportunities for career development.
Volunteers are extremely valued within our team and a vital part of our service delivery. We welcome applications from people from all walks of life, including those who may have personal or professional experience of mental health. While lived experience can bring valuable perspective, it is not a requirement for volunteering with us. Our focus is on providing volunteers with the training, guidance and supervision they need to feel confident in their roles and to develop their skills. Volunteers are supported to succeed and offered opportunities to connect with trustees, staff and other volunteers both professionally and socially. Above all, we value the contribution volunteers make to our community and are committed to recognising their achievements.
Main purpose of the role:
