To empower former child soldiers and victims of war by supporting their mental health, rehabilitation, reintegration, and long-term wellbeing through sustainable livelihood initiatives, education, psychotherapy, and community partnerships, while raising awareness of the impact of post-war trauma and mental ill health across Africa.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Fundraising Volunteer to support the development and delivery of ethical, mission-aligned fundraising initiatives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, donor engagement, and sustainable funding models.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives
- Research potential donors, grant opportunities, and partnerships
- Assist with donor communications and fundraising materials
- Support online fundraising and awareness campaigns
- Track fundraising activity and support reporting where required
Skills & Experience
- Interest or experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit work
- Experience of working with potential donors in Uganda, or elsewhere in east Africa as well as the UK is desirable
- Strong written communication and research skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Alignment with IAMSCS’s mission and values
