Job description

This role sits within our Education, training and employment programme, which provides ESOL classes to our service users. As an ESOL Teacher Volunteer, you will support our ESOL teacher in:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons to a range of classes and levels in a community setting.

  • Providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for learners.

  • Preparing and setting tests, examination papers and exercises.

  • Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work.

  • Keeping classes on track according to the syllabus/learning outcomes instructed.

  • Ensuring learners’ participation during classes and monitoring attendance.

  • Undertaking administrative tasks, such as keeping student registers and attendance records.
